I am SO glad that I found Laura! Over the last several years Ive been trying to learn more about how to work with my curly hair, but after numerous set backs going to stylists who meant well but gave me very poor hair cuts I was very frustrated. Im so happy that I found Laura and decided to go in for a deva cut and pintura highlights. Laura took so much time listening to me and making sure she made my hair look amazing. She also gave me so much guidance on techniques and tricks to do at home. I have never had such a positive experience at a salon. Also, her salon is so pretty, relaxing and private that it feels more like a trip to the spa than a trip to get a haircut. Before I went in for my deva cut I would hardly every wear my hair down because it was unmanageable and stringy, now I’ve been wearing it down and getting lots of compliments. If you are a curly girl you need to go see Laura!

Laura is great! I went to her for my Halo Hair Extensions. She really took her time with me to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. She’s also quick and responsive… I called her for the first time on a Saturday and had my Halo on my head on Wednesday. When I picked it up, Laura took the time to make sure I know how to put in the Halo and maintain it before I left. I highly recommend her!

Laura is awesome! My cut and color are perfect! I went to her for the first time last month. I found Laura by doing a Google search for hairdressers in the South Bay and followed that to her Unilocal page and web page. I needed a stylist that was closer to my home (I am in the South Bay, and had been driving to Westlake Village for my other hairdresser). I had been procrastinating for years to find another hairdresser as finding a good one is no easy task! I was drawn to Laura by the great before and after pictures she posted and the fact that her reviews were great. I sent her a text to see if I could get an appointment, she replied and was able to see me the same week. Laura listened carefully to my concerns, likes and dislikes. You never know sitting under the dryer with all those foils how the color is going to turn out, but I was so happy with the outcome. I have booked my next appointment and will be going to Laura from now on!

Having natural curly hair, it is difficult to find a hair stylish that really understand what to do with that mess. I would call a salon and get the usual «we are professionals of course we know how to cut curly heir» yet it would end in a disaster. No wonder I arrived at Laura’s with hair that was pure mess, too long and unorgenized, I needed help and fast. Laura was a breath of fresh air. She paid attention to the way my curls are formed and cut them accordingly. You know you have a great haircut when you like it even before she styled it. That day I got so many complements, but the true test is when you can get the same results by yourself at home. If you want the same magic, Laura is your answer. I will be back, and bring my daughter with me.

I had an incredible experience with Laura. She really listens to you and gives useful advice about how to color and or cut your hair. She did an amazing job when she dyed my hair from a faded red to a dark brown with caramel ombré. I was really nervous about using bleach, however Laura eased my worries and helped me feel comfortable. It’s easy to put your faith, or should I say hair, in her expert hands. I’ve found an extraordinary stylist who restored my faith in hair salons. I highly recommend seeing Laura if you want a professional who has great people skills and talent.

Laura is great! Her color and cut were phenomenal. I was especially grateful for the cut! I am going back today to get my locks back to beautiful tresses! Her ombré color style was also wonderful. Highly recommended!

Laura Lawson is an amazing hairstylist. She did my hair for my wedding reception and it was absolutely beautiful. My hair is thin and usually has a hard time holding a curl. Laura styled it in a way that kept it in place all day. I am continually amazed at the vastness of Laura’s talent. She posts before and after shots of a lot of her clients and she really performs a complete transformation. She also uses an organic hair care line which I really appreciate. I highly recommend Laura!

I had a wonderful experience with Laura, she is very professional and understood what I wanted and desired in a cut and color correction and final product. She was very thorough and knew what she was doing. I have found a new professional hairdresser for sure. Trust in her, she knows what she is talking about and doing. I wanted to go with a different look but she thought with my hair type it would not work, she was right I love what she did to my hair, and so does my boyfriend lol. I found Laura after I colored my hair at a different salon and the hairstylist messed up the color it looked nothing like what I asked for. I then decided to look online for someone who knew what they were doing I typed in best hair color correction in south bay and her web page came up I looked thru her web page and made an appointment when she finished I absolutely loved my hair she did a great job I highly recommend her. When you want the best you have to go to the best and I think Laura is the best :)

Laura does an awesome job on both hair color and cuts! Whenever I come into the salon to get a blonde weave and cut I always leave more than satisfied. While also receiving many compliments from friends and family. I recommend Laura from Colortec Salon to everyone I know. Beyond her impeccable work she is also a very kind hearted person who also makes me feel welcomed and cared for.

We have been going to Colortec for years. My stylist left, so I was referred to Laura. The thing I like about Laura is how professional she is as a stylist. She really takes the time to get to know you and what you want in a hair style. I have two kids (18 and 13). She did an amazing job on their cuts! She spends time discussing what they want as well as adding her advice on how to get the best look possible. We are very happy to have discovered Laura at Colortec!
