These guys are going to save us a lot of money. We also have offices in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and Sacramento.
Our architects could be in anyone of the offices and need to access documents anywhere anytime. These guys understand Internet access between offices and document security. The bottom line is the Reno office will be less than $ 300 per month, which includes remote access for the server farm from the other offices.
Each server will have its own dedicated IP address available to other offices, with DMZ security removing the chance of outside WAN users compromising the network.
The drawback with MajorNet is that a T1 takes thirty to forty five days to order and configure. The good news is that MajorNet installed an ATT phone line for use now, and a month of ADSL connection on top of the analog phone line.
In 48 hours we were up and running with a single phone line, and Internet access coming on Monday. After completion of the Reno office, we are going to contract with MajorNet to build the web portal allowing the architects to communicate behind a secure portal with customers and contractors and bring architecture out of the paper age.
