I use to love this place because when I was in high school we would go to this place when we were in scroc. I got a club sandwich today and it was delicious but it had a hair in it and it grossed me out. I got a refund, but the guy who gave me my refund had his shirt opened half way with his hamburger meat(chest hairs) hanging out. GROSS! !!! I felt like Vomiting, then he had the nerve to tell my son«are you sure it’s not your» AHNO!!! NOTFUNNY!!!

Staff is rude and even though they say they’re open for business until 10pm they will not serve you if you come in at 9:45pm. Apparently they start closing down 15 minutes before their posted hours of operation. What’s the point of having posted hours for business and flashing«Open» signs if you wont serve customers during them and while they’re on?! They even had customers eating in the dining area still. I will definitely be calling tomorrow to speak to a manager about the staff and their work etiquette.

Primarily, I hit up Steve’s because it’s super close to my house. However, it really is a solid burger joint. It’s pretty standard far for those that remember these kinds of little burger shacks that were so prolific in the 80−90s. It’s not slater’s 50/50, stacked etc. You can’t get truffle fries, duck confit or fine aged cheese. That said, it’s a good solid burger that’s at a good price point for a quick pick up. Once in a while, I think it’s a good idea to seek out a simple joint like these and remind ourselves why America fell in love with the simple utility burger.

Fast friendly service. Pretty good food. Prices can be a little high for what you’re getting sometimes but their chili cheese fries is yummylicious! :) Tip: get the fries well done so that the chili does not make the fries soggy.

Its a greasy spoon with all the characters! I like it, always busy, always consistent. I limit myself to once a week and then savor.

Food is pretty bad and tastes bland and somewhat over priced. I ordered the turkey burger; it arrived soggy and the meat fell apart easily. There are flies fruit flies and bugs flying around the kitchen. Men in the kitchen cooking exposing their chest hair and women do no wear any hair nets.

I’ve always came to this location and always got as many condiments as I want with no problem. Today, I got 2 burritos and an XL order of fries. I asked for 4 salsas and 2 thousand island dressings. The girl helping us asked the boss about the salsa and he said fine and took the 4 salsas out, no thousand island. We repeated to the girl that we want 2 thousand islands also, and we saw the boss take 2 salsas away. He came and tried to just put them in the bag without us noticing, we told him we want 4. We have 2 burritos and large fries … We will pay for extra. And he laughed and shook his head at us. Never going back. RUDE. Food was uncooked and cheese unmelted

Very good hamburger combo. Usually prefer charbroiled style hamburger stands and this one did not disappoint. I checked out the pastrami cut and looks good. Can’t wait to try it next time I’m in the area.

Steve’s holds a special place in my heart as the very first cheeseburger I have ever eaten. Coincidentally, my name is Steve… so this mom and pop joint has great taste! ;) I grew up in Torrance, and over the last 20 years, it has truly withstood the test of time. I’m happy that it has been around so long and it’s always a go to place I can take my friends from out of town if they’re craving a quick bite at night. With that being said, as I’ve grown older and eaten many more things, I have limited my visits here because the food here can definitely take a toll on you, but man… if you’re feeling like a filling meal, Steve’s hits the spot! Other than the burgers and pastrami sandwiches, my only suggestion would be to order the breakfast burrito. It has been a classic here, and is still as good as it was back when I had them in high school.

Horrible food! Carne asada breakfeast burrito tasted like chorizo. Pancakes were not fluffy at all. Even my beverage«Orange Bang» was nasty. Very disappointed!

I have not tasted anything that has not been delicious here. It’s my go to for breakfast and lunch. If you call in your order it’ll be ready in about 10 – 15 min so very convenient when at work. Awesome food and awesome customer service!

Absolute terrible service. The main head guy put his hands IN the trash can then proceeded to touch the foods of every customer. Straight filthy. Also ordered on phone and still waited 30 min at the store for pick up. This is happening LIVE btw. Live updates. If youve been here in the last 10 min your food is contaminated.

Been going there since the 80’s. Good food, but nothing fancy. Lots of good memories. Clean place parking a little small. Typical independent burger joint atmosphere. In the 80s I would have given it 4 stars if Unilocal was around back then. However, today the standards are higher. In a fairness the last time I set foot on this place was 5 years ago. Great to see that the place has been kept up and that the sign from the 80s is still there. Not sure if the joint is still owned by the same folks from way back when.

Steve’s is ok. Not the best tasting food, but sometimes I’m glad it’s there. It’s right down the street from my house so it’s convenient when you’re in need of a quick meal. I like their salads and menudo. Here’s a list of items I tried there so far: 1.pastrami sandwich(not the best I’ve had) 2.menudo(pretty good) 3.breakast burrito with ham(very good) 4. breakfast burrito with sausage(good) tacos(okay) 6.buffalo wings(not good) 7.salmom burger(very good) 8.cheeseburgers(very good) 9.gyro(it was good) 10. American breakfast(very good) 11. Steak sandwich(was ok) 12. Carne Asada burrito(got it once it was ok) 13. Carne Asada taco(it was ok) 14. Fried chicken(okay) 15. Acapulco chicken(good) 16. chicken noodle soup(it was ok) 17. Fries are good 18. Pancakes are good So far that’s all I can remember. Just check it out some people like it some people don’t like it. It all depends on your taste buds. One more thing some of the staff need some training on customer service. Sometimes they’re nice, but sometimes I can feel a little attitude.

I’m a sucker for mom & pop burger joints! This place is within walking distance from me so we sometimes enjoy a nice stroll to this place. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean and maintained. Prices are just right as well. I love their bacon and egg breakfast burritos, $ 5.25. This is probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. Oozing melted cheese, their house salsa which isn’t spicy at all but adds a perfect kick with scrambled eggs and nice crispy pieces of bacon. I can never finish this burrito although I always try! All their breakfast platters are good with large portions. My daughters always share one: either the french toast or pancake platter with bacon, eggs, and sausage. Chili cheese fries are also good here with banana peppers that you can add. Pastrami melt was also delicious. Lastly, they have orange bang here! Whoop!

Breakfast. America, this is one of my favorite things about you. If I want pancakes and I don’t want to make them myself, I can come to a little blue collar establishment and have breakfast with the working class. This is how diner culture used to be before America was so corporate, stop in on the way to work at a little mom and pop place to get some fuel before a long work day. I have no idea why the pancakes look like cartoon rabbits.
