I cannot get enough of SugarCloth. The entire staff is great, the music is dope and their clothes are out of this world amazing ! I really stopped shopping at a lot of stores because SC has everything I always want from great vintage rock tees to fancy shmancy dresses with an edge lol.

Any fashionistas still out there?! Well, I’m very pleased to say that I found a godsend for fashionistas everywhere in this up and coming clothing store, so delightfully named Sugarcloth. I usually don’t write reviews, but as a newly graduated university student in my 27th year of life and as woman new to the South Bay area, trying to dress up my look from grad student to starting my career — I happily give my referral. I came in two days ago with my dad; great atmosphere, awesome team(gave me space, but were there right away with assistance), the cutest displays(is it tacky to have bought the entire display ensemble? ’cause I did it twice), and an overall superior selection of clothing. Their look is Hippie-chic. The team was amazing and helpful. The manager and team were very helpful with picking the right silhouette to go with my body. I’m totes excited to have found this place! I highly recommend taking a peek and viewing a bit of the magic that i witnessed. And i’m dying to see their fall and winter lines!

I’ve been looking for a store like this for the longest in the South Bay Area and I am so glad that Galleria has finally added a store that has boho-hippie-vintage clothing! They have such cute clothes and to top it off the employees here are extreeeeemely helpful! They’re super on point when it comes to making sure you have a great shopping experience! I don’t think I’ve been to a clothing store where the employees help you from the moment you walk in, to fitting rooms, to the moment you walk out. I will definitely be back!

It was my first time at the South Bay Galleria and instead of looking for generic stores(like forever 21, H&M), I decided to look for stores that malls in my area don’t offer. Then there’s the story of how I happen to stumble into Sugarcloth. The display definitely caught my eye. My preferred style reflects off the entire store and I had an amazing time looking at everything they had to offer. The clothes are, like what Sugarcloth describes, very«modern hippie», but they were clothes you don’t find anywhere, making this store super unique! I left feeling satisfied with my purchase, but I went home to order more online! Sadly, this is the first and only location so far. Hope they expand because they deserve to become more known! I will definitely come back if I am ever back in the Redondo Beach area.

I hardly ever post reviews unless I feel strongly about a place and think it’s worth sharing. And I had the worst shopping experience of my life here because the new manager harassed me after I had already purchased an item from him, accusing me of thieving. On my way out, a cut out skater boho print jersey dress caught my eyes. I looked through all the strappy dresses one by one, maybe even thrice over because you can easily get confused with all the straps, to find a small, but to no avail. So I stretched the dresses feeling how big they would be and where to sew to make the tailored to my body. Not only that, but they were printed, so not all dresses were alike. So I compared the front bodices trying to figure out which was the prettiest. I was deep in thought trying to think if it would be worth the $ 30, and that’s when he harassed me. I explained how I can’t find my size. He snapped sassy answers back at me, «The large is going to be a large. No matter how many times you look at it, it’s not going to shrink.» Meanwhile, my mother was with me! After I told her to wait for me outside of the store, I had a brief word with him, informing him that is definitely not how you treat a loyal customer who was initially so pleased with the customer service everyone else except for him provided.(And to even think I was going to compliment him about how much I had a good experience because all the other employees guided me through the store to help me find the clothes I was looking for!) He was unapologetic about it, saying that is how they were trained to do their job. The best way to improve loss prevention is to provide quality customer service, not making false accusations towards innocent customers who have purchased items that didn’t have censors on to begin with. To help him make up for it, I allowed him to show me where I would have to cut and take in fabric to make it a size smaller, which i was already trying to figure out in the first place.(Seriously, instead of asking if I was looking and rubbing all the censors which confused the hell out of me at first, he could have just avoided all the rudeness and asked if I needed help with anything. It’s that simple.) I took the dress to the dressing room to have an excuse to cry inside. Was the dress worth $ 30? Is $ 30 worth being treated like shit? Definitely not. I felt so hopeless because this kind of behavior is something you tell the manager about to help improve the business. But what happens if the person mistreating you is the manager? I didn’t know what else to do, so I decided to share my experience on here. Shout outs to the employee in the fitting rooms to provide a shoulder to cry on and listen to my story. She knew how happy I was before at the store and with my purchase that she helped me with, so she was concerned and empathized, «I hope you still come back!!»

I love this store! Super cute clothes and they have great customer service! Right when you walk into the store you’re greeted with a «welcome!», the employees here are very helpful! Everyone here is super welcoming and makes sure you have a great shopping experience! Definitely coming back and definitely recommend others coming here!(P.S. After a purchase they give you«kisses» as your sugar for the day! Pretty cool)
