I met Master Brent at one of my functions and we started to chat about martial arts. We chatted about his school, his styles and disciplines. I studied judo and hapkido before in college so was very eager to get back into the martial arts. He invited me down for a free week of lessons. After a couple of lessons, I was hooked. I enjoyed the pleasant and fun atmosphere of the dojo. All the instructors are funny, personable, motivational and tough(when you need it). The school has a wide array of students ranging from age 3 to probably 70’s. There are classes for everyone, the instructors are good and adapts the lessons to each individual’s abilities. There are plenty of group classes to attend during the week. They even have specialized classes such as aerobic training/stretching, sparring, tai chi and individual private lessons every week. The style practiced at this dojo is Shaolin Kempo Karate with modern adaptation. I love and enjoy the exercise that I get from the workouts rather than running on a treadmill. If you are looking for a fun way to work out while learning valuable self-defense skills, then you need to come and try it.
