Wienersnitz is a mediocre fast food restaurant which is hit or miss… Some days they are on point, other days they could me a little better however, this review is not about the food but soley on the service… I went in here for lunch today after shopping walking in the hot sun while waiting on my car at the dealership across the street. I also have a 8month Baby that I’m pushing along… I always hate to use and throw out the race card but it is needed in this case… As a restaurant that sits where most Whites and Asian live… I feel that they are not use to seeing or servicing many black people… With major stairs as I walk in with my baby… I did not a greeting or anything… The lady was was rude when I asked for a clear large cup, which I know I’m gonna have to pay for… I guess she thought I wasn’t gonna pay… Smh she was like 30cent… I’m like OK give me the cup lady… The she gives me the cup with out a lid… Smh. Then when asked for it she hesitated to give it to me… All in all this location did not do it for me… Bad service!

I’ve always had good service any number of times I’ve been here. Food is consistently good, though dogs a bit salty. My favorites here are th Chicago Dog, Corn Dog, Chili Burger, and the mini Tastee Freeze Sundaes. I like the Strawberry Topping and recently noticed they have my all time favorite Pineapple Topping ! This location has a much larger and more comfortable indoor dining area than any others I’ve seen. If you need something quick to go, the Corn Dogs and the mini corn dogs are a neat and easy choice.

Good fix if you love hotdogs. I love thw Bacon Chili Jalapeño. Not much people though. The sundaes are ordinary but still good. Its pretty much junk food but fun and enjoyable to eat.

I feel like certain specific employees give me an attidute. One time, the cashier answered her cell phone in front of me before I even had a chance to walk away from her after taking my order… I cant say much about the menu because I only get certain items from here, but what i’ve had so far has been good.

Good, quick efficient service. Very consistent delivery of their chili cheese dogs. Lots of other things on the menu, including ice cream, but the chili cheese dogs are the reason I come here. Good stuff!

About a 3.5: Wienerschnitzel has been around since ’61, and was founded by John Galardi in Southern CA. They’re known for their chili on fries, hot dogs, burgers, as well as Tastee Freeze soft serve treats. Their menu offers different types of dogs(your choice of ‘Original’ or 100% Angus; Chili Cheese, Chili, Mustard, Deluxe, Chicago, Kraut, Bacon Strip Street, Junkyward, Pastrami, and Relish), burgers(Chili Burger, Chili Cheeseburger, Jalapeño Poppers Chili Cheeseburger, Junkyard Chili Cheeseburger, and Ultimate Chili Cheeseburger), sandwiches(Pastrami, or Polish), Corn Dogs/Mini Corn Dogs, and sides(such as curly fries, jalapeño poppers, chicken dippers, etc.). I keep seeing various Wienerschnitzels while driving around, so I had to stop by for a late-night snack to check them out! We did the drive-thru, and we ordered one Chili Cheese Dog(beef), which came with a chili and shredded cheese — this was pretty okay and a standard chili dog; Mini Corn Dogs(very crispy batter and freshly cooked!), Chili Cheese Curly Fries(I liked that the chili and cheese was set on top of curly fries, rather than regular fries), and, one of their flavored lemonades, the Pear(just okay). Service was quick and efficient, and if you’re looking for some savory/chili-esque snack, check them out: P +Mini Corn Dogs(get them fresh!) +Chili Cheese Curly Fries

June 2014 I went to this«Weinerschnitzel» on Western Avenue in Torrance last month. Food is average, but as I was about to leave; I asked the man at the register for my receipt. Normally they would print a new one. Not this guy, he second thought it, then turned around to the trash can and pulled it right off the top. I was in shock! I just took it and left. Will never go to that location ever again.

Stopped here after a 4 hr sun-blazing hike in Palos Verdes. My friend and I were initially interested in burgers but thought to try this chain out. Honestly, I loved the variety but didn’t feel the hot dog was anything special, but the stars come from the deserts! I ordered a hot dog special with bacon and blue cheese(2 stars). It was cheap. Despite being hungry, I did not find it refreshing or filling although my friend loved her hot dog. Maybe I don’t have a taste for hot dogs. I loved the caramel crunch Freez that I ordered(5+ stars). It was unbelievably delicious and for two bucks, you can’t beat the price. I often indulge at the a local McDonalds with a McFlurry, but I think Wienerschnitzel will be my new fast food desert stop!

I go to Wienerschnitzel about once a year. I get two dogs of my choice on a pretzel bun. Never fails to satisfy my once a year hot dog craving. See you next year.

I wasn’t expecting outstanding service here, but I was surprised by how bad it actually was. The employees were downright rude. They didn’t even try to hide their looks of disgust when customers walked in, proving that they just don’t care. If you’re having a bad day or you don’t like your job, I don’t want to see it written all over your face. My boyfriend, his mom, and I were craving some ice cream and sweets since it was so hot outside. We ordered a hot fudge sundae, a strawberry sundae, and a root beer float. We were left waiting for a long time, watching people who came in way after us get their food before our order was ready. We watched the employees repeatedly mess up their«hand dipped» ice cream cones and leave a mess all over the counter. When our order was finally ready, we were significantly disappointed. Both sundaes had too much syrup and were practically inedible. My root beer float was blah, not enough root beer whatsoever. We won’t be returning here.

I’m not a fan of hot dogs, but I could eat Wienerschnitzel chili cheese dogs every day. I have relatives who have moved back to the Midwest and mourn not being able to have Wienerschnitzel.

I gotta say right off the bat, I don’t eat much fast food anymore. I went on a diet/food intake/excercise lifestyle change last year. I now eat better and excercise. I lost 30+ pounds and am still going strong. So now, when I do eat something«bad», I like it to be good. I haven’t had a chili dog in ages and was at that mall at staples and decided to grab a quick lunch at Der Wienerschnitzel. The chili dog was as I remembered, good! I opened up my chili burger, took a bite and thought wow these aren’t that bad either. Then, I looked down only to see the giant freekin hair sittin in the wrapper. Freekin GAG, I almost forced a vomit out right there at the table but instead opted to take it up to register and give it back telling them that was NOT good. Then I left and will NEVEREVER return. GROSSSSSSSS!!! Check instagram– #lotlifebmx for the pic of the chili burger hair. You can double tap and give it a like if your into hair on your burger!

They accept The Entertainment Book Coupons here. This is a pretty consistent Wienerschnitzel but they are kind of cheesy on the amount of ‘chili’ they put on items. My chili dogs had hardly any chili, but the chili cheese fries seemed adequate. I like the Chicago dogs because I am from Chicago and I don’t have to drive now to Buena Park to Portillo’s to get my dog fix. The drive thru is a bit wonky(has a very very sharp angle) Unless you own a Smart Car you’re gonna be a few feet away from the window. Easiest is to enter on RH Road.

Got the Chili Cheese Fries, Classic Hamburger, and a Regular Coke through the drive-through. There’s nothing special, just an usual Wienerschnitzel. A «have a nice day» from the guy working there, keeps me as a customer. Definitely one of my fast-food routine places.

Went to the drive through and got the worst service. Throughout the entire order, not a single word was exchanged. Food is your typical wienerschnitzel mediocre chili drizzled mess.

The chili dogs and chili cheese fries rock! This was my first time at der Wienerschnitzel so I wanted to try a selection of their menu. They were advertising a special of 2 chili dogs and chili cheese fries for $ 3 so we had to get that. I also got two corn dogs and the wife got a chicago dog. The chili dog was very good and their no-bean chili was tasty and not too greasy. The two corn dogs were good too but corn dogs are just vehicles for me to eat mustard so they did the trick. The place was clean and there’s plenty of parking. The asphalt in the parking lot looked like it was just repaved(+1).
