Always delicious food and service, the owner is there to greet you and make you feel comfortable.

Best and maybe the only neopolitan style pizza in the area. Great staff, cool place, owner is very nice. Can’t wait to try the outside dining as they seemed to spare no expense building it.

I’ve dined at this restaurant 6 times in the past 12 months. It’s located in my hometown and I do my very best to support local small business. That’s why I have made 6 attempts here. If I based my first experience on future visits, there would not have been 5 more tries. Here’s my opinion of 900 degrees. Food– it’s good. Tried the pizza, salads, salmon, rice balls, cappuccino and a few other dishes. All were very good and a fair value for the money. Service– needs improvement — Mr. Owner, here is where you need to turn your focus. If the kitchen is off one night, I can deal with it, that happens sometimes… But consistently poor service is unacceptable. My first experience in your restaurant was horrible and uncomfortable. I felt like an outsider to your club. The server had no idea what he was doing, it was obvious that he was not trained or even showed interest in the job he was doing or us as a customer. As we were leaving you happened to be standing next to me and asked how was everything. My response was it could be better. Your response was«Was it the service», and I said yes. You kind of shrugged and that was that. After that experience, I waited 5 months to return to see if anything had improved. Again, I’m trying to support the local independent. My follow up visits were still a bit challenging with respect to service. Finally the last visit, last weekend, was better. I wish I could remember the servers name so I could call ahead to see if he is working. He did a great job, however, the other servers were still terrible. I don’t know the history of his restaurant. But it appears by the lack of professionalism and clumsy unprofessional service by both the owner and waitstaff that this must be their first rodeo. I really want this restaurant to survive. So my suggestion is to go to the outside and either hire a consultant or hire professional waitstaff, or both! So, the food and value is good. If you’re not hyper focused on service, then you should give this place a try. I’ll give it another try in 2 months.

Let’s start with location. Plenty of parking in the rear and across the street at the train station(station isn’t very busy”. You can park in front, but trying to back out on to the busy road can be difficult. Very nicely decorated and very clean. Wait staff has been consistently pleasant and attentive. We’ve been here three or four times and we’ve seen some regulars. Table and chairs, cloth napkins, overall nice atmosphere. The food, other than the Pizza, is «ok». I think they try and give the homemade impression, but clearly that is not the case. Our last visit we ordered the meatball app — overall taste was ok, but the texture was tough. Had a pasta dish, and the sauce and garnishing was nice, but the pasta itself taste like it came out of a box. So when it hits the table, it looks like a genuine homemade dish, when it hits your mouth, it tastes like something you could have made at home. The Pizza is vey good. A bit pricey, but I think it is worth it. Good char on the bottom and consistency well cooked. Good selection of toppings and styles. They are sized between a personal pie and a full sized pie, so two adults could share one(assuming you had an app first). What I really like is that it is great for younger kids. You can get a two or three pies and get a good selection of toppings to please everyone. They have chocolate milk and kid cup. It sounds weird saying that, but some places don’t and when your kid love chocolate milk, it just makes the experience better. BYOB, which is great for a reasonably priced meal with a bottle of wine from home. Bottom line, decent location with parking, clean, nice staff, little pricey, non-pizza dishes are ok, pizza is very good, great for younger kids. Note to the owners, I’m sure this was an isolated incident, but one visit during lunch service you were loading in fire wood, stacking in front of the entrance which was really annoying when you’re a customer trying to leave. Also, employees(I think owners) having conversations across the room while this was happening was a bit disturbing. Anyway, I think this was not a regular thing, just wanted to point it out.

900° is a great local pizzeria, especially if you’re looking for pizzas that I have a little bit more culinary jazz than your normal pie. It gets four out of five stars because while the food is always on point, I have shared the same experience as other reviewers where the service is sometimes slow. However, I would prefer slower service to being rushed through my meal.

The food is ok. Nothing to write home about. And definitely not worth the price. The part of the meal that proved I will probably never come back is the service. I came with my two girls. We ordered apps and entrees. We were completely ignored. Another table came in afterwards, and knew the owner. They were fawned over. Yeah I’m sure it happens all the time, but try not to be so obvious. The waiter had to walk past our table to get to them for goodness sake! I’m still sitting in the restaurant. No one came to see how we were after plopping the food on the table. We have been waiting for 25 minutes and no one stopped by… The other table? Been catered to twice! I guess you need to know the owner to get decent service.

If your looking for upscale pizza and a nice BYOB environment you can consider 900 degrees. The pies are either 10 or 12 inch bar pies that run about $ 15 each. The pizza was good, not like Sorrentina in North Bergen or Brooklyn Pizza in Edgewater, but those are the best in NJ. We also tried the meatball n ricotta appetizer and the meatballs were cold which was to bad. I should have known that this kind of app isn’t made to order and selected something different so that’s my bad. Nice wait staff and good service, so kudos there. By the way, «aj» from pequonock. Post a picture of yourself and when you give every restaurant 1 n 2 stars you lose street cred.(but 4 stars for chick-fil-a???) Tell us where your a chef so we can try your food. Lots of respect here for restraunteurs and believe Unilocal is a great way to connect business with customers, not belittle someone’s profession.

Can I give like a hundred stars for best gluten free pizza ever? We had the new yorker pizza which comes with meatballs and sausage and then some… paid the extra $ 5(i think) for the gluten free crust. It. Was. Awesome. We did outdoor seating cuz it was a gorgeous day out. Beautiful outside seating area with a nice covered porch. And there was pretty good service despite how the outdoors seating area is a hike from the kitchen. Def going back.

The pizza was delicious we went there for a birthday party. My only gripe is that the restaurant was tight. Real close quarters! The cuisine was good. I would go back for the pizza!

Believe it or not, there are people who actually know what and how the taste, texture and making of these«wood» fired pizzas are supposed to be. I am one and I certify myself as such based on my culinary knowledge, traveling to Italy/Europe and my many years spent here doing«pizza crawls» throughout Brooklyn, NYC and the boros, to most of the places known for their great pizzas. I’ve done the so called«best» of pizza in regular, brick oven, coal oven, wood fired, all that runs the good to great pizza gamut. I can tell you each type is similar in some of characteristics to the end result. Epic fail to any pizza making and pizza maker, is when these places stick a pizza inside of an oven that is just NOTHOTENOUGH degree wise, and there is going to be a true quality and texture issue if not cooked at the right temperatures from start to finish. Much of it is the same concept of placing food into a fryer of oil that is not hot enough temperature wise, the end results are immediately evident in appearance and taste and texture. In pizza, a thin crust(which all of these pizza styles are) should NEVER be soft and doughy which will produce a lacking, floppy pizza when you pick up your slice. This is the FIRST and clear indication of temperature in the oven issue. Undercooked cheese, not fully melted, is the second indication. After that, you can judge ingredient tastes of the sauce, typically crushed plum tomatoes are used, then varies, where a sauce tastes better than another, i.e. one sweeter, one not, one seasoned, one bland, and is since many do not add any seasoning to a sauce to excite it, which can be as simple as a dash of salt, pepper and garlic powder. San Marzano plum tomatoes(sauce) are the norm for these pizzas and if not, you’re getting shortchanged as well. This place charges $ 12 for a 12 inch pie, well, they’d better be using those. First visit and very disappointed by it and will never return as a result. Lost a new customer you could’ve gained. This place simply failed on all points and I’ll predict they won’t be in business for that long, in that location, paying that rent, for that space, just for people who enjoy the allure of dining outdoors with BYOB. That can’t make the food taste better in my opinion, or maybe a bottle of wine helps you to think it is. So with the pizza ratings both my friend and I give based on our visit there(and how I’ve read many other reviews stating their entrees were not good and over priced) I think this place is very deficient in their approach to pizza making and/or it is being done and run that way. I will say I didn’t see any presence of a person working there over 25 yrs old, where I do assume a restaurant manager would be not such a very young guy, who is all we saw working there during our visit. Who runs the place I wondered? Wait staff were missing for periods of time and the place isn’t that big, nor was it that busy. I will say when food and(service) is lackluster consistently, as is here, there will be soon down the road issues. Reading other reviews of this new place, the service was also a featured complaint, besides the pizza and food quality and price point for it. Not hard to see the trend downwards has already started and continues to head down fast. Note that the place only opened earlier in 2015. They need a new approach to things there and train your staff to care and show it and make a pizza right. They need to have someone truly experienced in it to come in and show how to make the proper” wood fired pizza and one in an oven that is truly 900 degrees! When we left, we noted the fire inside the oven was SO small where we laughed and said that could in no way even be a 900 degree fire! Save your time and money. I can honestly say, compared to this place, I get better and(crispy) pizza from my local pizzeria for much less money and a much bigger pie. Wow.

We were brought here by close friends who frequent 900 Degrees. They have a nice outdoor seating but we chose to sit inside. We were greeted graciously and the service remained friendly throughout the evening. We ordered 3 appetizers which were more than enough for the four of us. Appetizers: Meatballs– very good, tender 900 Mussels– good dish albeit a tad spicy Mozzerella en Carroza– was burnt, I didn’t try it Pizza; Bianco– delicious Parma– very good Parma with figs-special that night, tasty Desserts: Bread pudding-rich, excellent 900 Degrees is a good spot in Towaco and BYOB is a plus on the wallet.

My husband and I were trying to familiarize ourselves with the Montville /Towaco area. So we went to Unilocal and found 900 Degrees. We went in for dinner on a Saturday night. They offered us a table in the dining room, then we noticed the window and that they offered outside seating. We asked to sit outside instead. The outdoor seating area is plentiful and lovely. The restaurant is BYOB, so we brought a bottle of wine which the waiter opened and poured for us. There are so many options listed on the menu that it was hard to choose. There were four of us, so we decided to split one appetizer and two pizzas. We started with the Baked Meatballs over Ricotta. The dish contained 3 large meatballs which were delicious. I highly recommend this hot appetizer. For pizza, we ordered the Margherita and Pesto pies. They were cooked to perfection. Both had wonderful flavor and crispy crust, but the Pesto Pizza really stood out for me. This was the perfect amount of food for the 4 of us. We figured if we needed more we’d order it afterwards. I would have loved to try the Nutella Pizza, but I was stuffed. Overall, the food was great, but the service was a bit lacking. Our waiter forgot which pizzas we ordered and came to ask us our order again, so I think that delayed the food a bit. Plus they only had one waiter for the whole outdoor area and I think he was a bit overwhelmed. If the service were to improve, this restaurant has the potential to be 5 stars.

I did enjoy the food I got there yesterday but the wait for everything was so long. I am glad we were just hanging out and not in a rush to go anywhere. It was very crowded so I will blame it on that. the waitors didn’t circulate enough around the resturant in my opinion. With the waiting long, I will specify and say that it took a while to place our order with the waitor then a long time between taking the order and recieving the food. at least my dish was good.

This is a convenient and tasty place for take out. Yes, it’s a little more pricey than the average pizza place but, your pie is made with fresh gourmet ingredients and is not sopped in oil. They are usually very friendly and they stayed open late one night when we ordered take out right at closing time. We’ve had over twenty pies since they opened and we continue to go back. The food is above average and if you don’t like something, they are more than happy to accommodate the customer. Order the Salciccia pie and you’ll be happy to pay a bit more for the quality ingredients they use.

My husband came home with 2 pies. The crust was not done; it was inedible. I can eat pizza for every meal, however I could not muster the courage to attempt to finish one slice of this margarita pizza. For what it’s worth, my husband didn’t think it was terrible. I gave him my slice. If you enjoy watching your husband eat while you starve, this may just be your hidden gem.

Just dined here with our friends. As this was our first visit, we used a credit. Overall, the décor and wait staff were very pleasant and attentive. We found the food to be on the expensive side. One specialty pizza and three entrees with three desserts was nearly $ 100. I found that expensive for overall simple foods. I will note that hot foods should be served on warm/hot plates. My wife ordered a dish made with a cream sauce. The sauce got cold very fast since the plates were cold. So the meal becomes unpleasant quickly. The kitchen needs to work on their timing and include the pizza guys. I received my pizza first, then about 8 mins later two entrees came out, then a few mins later, the final entrée arrived. This was at 530pm on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy at all. So if you’re OK with waiting for everyone to get their foods at different times, then this is the place for you. Our group agreed that we won’t be returning.

Very good wood fired pizza. This BYOB restaurant has only been open a few months and they certainly have their act together. The décor is what you’d expect in a new upscale pizzeria but it is smaller than it appears in pictures. There are just over a dozen tables, which may make getting a table difficult as the restaurant gets more popular. The margherita pie was one of the better ones I’ve had lately and was cooked perfectly. We also tried the«honey» pie which has local honey, fresh mozzarella, calabrese peppers and caramelized onions. I enjoyed the honey pie, which was unique and unlike any pizza I’ve had before. Be forewarned that the calabrese peppers are HOT, don’t order this pizza if you don’t like heat. Service was fine but our waiter had a pretty dry personality and didn’t seem too friendly. The guy who must be the owner or manager was definitely welcoming and appreciative of the business though. Don’t skip dessert here, the Nutella pizza is amazing. I recommend getting it with strawberries. All in all a solid 4 star experience. I would definitely go back.

Food 3 ½ stars; overall experience 4 ½ stars. First off, Joe, our host, was sensational. He was great with my and our friends’ kids and was really having a good time with us. That always makes for an excellent experience so thanks Joe. We had mussels as an app — they were just OK. Maybe we’ll try the mussels with cream sauce next time to see if that’s more interesting. Three kids split a margherita pie and a chicken parm w/pasta and they ate it up so that’s a good option for the kiddies, for sure! Now the pizza: first, shame on me for not trying the«Danny Boy» — next time! My Dad and Granddad are upstairs saying«Jaysus, Mary and Joseph, Danny, ya didn’t try the „Danny Boy?!“ Since this was my first visit, I went with the more common items to see if they could pull them off, and they did. The New Yorker(meat lovers), the Funghi, The Veggie and the Bianco were all delicious. These are all smaller 12» pies so you can order quite a few and pass them around so you and friends at the table can enjoy an assortment of different pizzas. Can be a bit pricey since you’re paying for a 12″ what you’d usually pay for an 18″ but, hey, I guess we’re covering the price of that exotic Italian pizza oven. Que Cosa! One pie on the menu had some crazy ingredients I have to admit has piqued my interest so I’ll give it a go next time we’re back. Get this — bechamel, pancetta, cheddar! and topped with ranch dressing(barf!) after it’s done. My Mom would say«Ohi ! «Pahne-Yehmo!» What are they doing mixing Greek bechamel with cheddar and ranch dressing is beyond my comprehension but they say it’s a hit. Stay tuned. I’ll either get sick or they’ll convert me into a believer! Good luck, gents. Nice place, nice atmosphere. A bit pricey but so far, so good — the pizza was worth it. And, we’re definitely going to take you up on the Nutella dessert next time — sounds delicious!
