Sophia’s Pizzeria

Hands down the best pizza in town. The chicken brocolli Alfredo pizza is my favorite ever. Everything ive had here has been great. I almost never eat out, but when I do this is the only place I get my food.

I have had a few different calzones and pizzas from Sophia’s and everything has been delicious. Their delivery is prompt which is saying a lot because all delivery people have trouble finding my house.
I am writing this review in particular because I wanted to commend Sophia’s for the wonderful job they did on a large order for my son’s first birthday. They took my order two days early for a Saturday pickup. Nick, the owner, was extremely accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Our order (ten calzones and a pizza) was hot and ready to go when my husband picked it up at noon. Seeing they open at 11, they clearly had come in early to make sure everything was ready to go. Everything was delicious and all the party guests were raving about the food. I would use them again for a large order in a heartbeat. Thanks!

Took over for Central Plaza Pizza and I don’t notice much difference in quality. We got a large pepperoni and a large veggie special. Both were good. The pepperoni was, not burnt, but very well done… just like I like it. The sauce has a slightly sweet taste, which might be off-​putting to some. The place looks pretty much just like it did before. Kinda feels like all they did was change the name and maybe that’s the case.

We wanted to continue loving this establishment, but quality has went downhill in last 6 – 8 months. I would now recommend patriot pizza as best Townsend pizza shop food, but ICF has best seafood and apps. My steak tips were so dry, with no juice left anywhere at all, not even in the aluminum foil they use to wrap it. Also I love the onion rings, but they were sooo mushy when I got them. I live less than 3 minutes away so they should have traveled fine for delivery. Lasagna has always been fantastic and still is. Also as much as I love their story and atmosphere, I do not LOVE their food anymore. Had to say something. Sorry Sophia’s :(.

When I crave pizza this is the pizza shop I head to even though it is not in my immediate area.
Sophia’s Pizza uses the freshest ingredients. The vegetables are crisp and vibrant in color, the cheese is fresh and doesn’t have that tangy, salty smell to it. The sauce is tasty without an overpowering garlicky taste. The dough has the softest texture with a just a hint of sweet to it.
I can always count on my green pepper, onion and extra cheese pizza to taste exactly the way I want it to each time I go there. It is always cooked to perfection and served to me in a timely manner. The staff even delivers it to my table!
So speaking of staff, I imagine the pizza/​sub shop business to be stressful at times especially when busy, but no matter what time I go there to eat, the staff is always friendly and inviting. I always feel like they were happy I came in to visit.
The Owners are nice people too. It is very nice to see a young couple work so hard to make their customers happy. I am pleased to be a regular customer.

Good sub and pizza place. New owner is friendly and cleaned the place up nicely. Safe bet for a quick bite.

Have had several meals from here — from cold subs and pizza to a great chicken, cranberry, and pecan salad, lasagna, and raviolis. Every meal has been consistently hot, delicious, and plentiful portions.
These guys are very friendly; you know they appreciate your business by the time you leave. Good prices and a true family-​run dream.

My family always enjoys the pizza here. The BBQ Chicken pizza is a favorite.

I spoke with the owner Nick today when I ordered my pizza. I thanked him for finally bringing a good pizza to Townsend. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food has always been great. The only thing I haven’t liked is the «eat in» experience. The food was served in a to go container which I wasn’t thrilled about at first. As it turned out it was convenient because it was so cold in there that we brought the food home to eat.
No big deal, I just have my food delivered now. I haven’t had anything that I didn’t enjoy and the pizza is consistently fantastic.

Great food, great company. Hard working family business. The pizza is a treat. They make all the dough on site.

The pizza was great. This is the 1^st time we have been back since last year, wow what an improvement. This is our pizza place now!!!
