Any time I travel, I like to shop local so I by-passed my beloved Publix and stopped here. I understand the prices, slightly more than a normal grocery store, because of the location/convenience. But half of what I bought was expired. Not just a *little* expired, but a lot expired. Ramen noodle packets and maple syrup expired in September and July of 2014… I purchased the items in February 2016. I’ve learned my lesson and will always check expiration dates, but it shouldn’t be on the shelf for purchase. The items that were not expired were fine and what I needed. Staff was nice and helped me to my car when I had too much to carry. If you must go, make sure to check the expiration dates.

If you are going to stop for gas around here, why not stop somewhere interesting, like this Exxon gas station & shopping center. The store definitely has a independent movie set vibe. I feel like I have stepped back in time, when I walk in here, and half expect to run into The Coal Miner’s Daughter. People are nice. Plenty of pumps so I have never had to wait. A single unisex bathroom is outside to the right of the shop. They sell ice, snacks, groceries, hardware, and some small auto parts. I suspect you can purchase your fishing license here. Stop in if you would like to step back in time!
