So I have to agree with my fellow Unilocalers on this one. The employees here are not the friendliest. They are actually downright rude at times. But whatever, it’s 7 – 11, the only thing it’s really good for crappy nachos and Slurpies late at night: D

Disappointed. I was told thr lottery machine is down after standing there almost 5 minutes. I decided to get a few scratch offs. I should have just left. They weren’t the most friendly people.

typical 7-eleven. Just wanted to write to comment on the gratuitously rude cashier(manager?). My friend lives across the street. He had just moved into the building. Every day we went to the 7-eleven to buy something(slurpee, coffee, snacks, ice cream etc.). After a week of living there, we needed to take the bus one day and had no change. So we went to the 7-eleven to get change. Mind you, we intended to buy something and get change from the remainder, we weren’t simply asking them to give us change free of charge. I bought a coffee that cost close to $ 2. My friend gave them a $ 10 dollar bill. The cashier gives him back a $ 5 dollar bill and 3 single dollars. We needed more single dollars for the bus, so I asked the cashier to give us change instead of the $ 5 bill. He refused and said he didn’t have enough. So my friend went and purchased a banana with the $ 5 bill and the guy gave us change(4 singles). We never walked in there again. Now rude is telling a person you won’t give them change without a purchase. Gratuitously rude is refusing to give asked-for change when there is a purchase and forcing us to buy another item when we’d already spent $ 2 just to get change. Granted, the cashier was under no legal obligation to give us the change we wanted, but by being a dick and making us buy the second item, he basically lost out on our business forever. My friend lives across the street and would have gone in there nearly daily for coffee and whatnot. Now he make a point of not going there unless he’s desperate. Moral: Patronize another 7-eleven, don’t reward cashiers that behave like assholes just because they can.
