I’ve been there a few times and honestly, there’s nothing special. It’s cool that’s it’s black light but that’s really it. The venue is really small and barely noticeable. I mean it when I say it’s small. There’s only about 6 areas to be seated in. I find the way they price things to be a bit strange. The tobacco itself runs about $ 6 a piece but you pay buy how many people are in the party. For example, if your party consists of 6 people and you order 1 bowl of traditional shisha($ 6), each person has to pay for it. So your total is $ 36. That makes things get pretty expensive pretty quickly. The atmosphere is pretty boring. Not a place you want to go if you’re looking for excitement. Go there if you’re looking for a chill environment

It’s an okay place to just hang with friends but they skimp out on the tobacco. Not much smoke – which to me is the whole point of hookah. It’s got cool black lights. The guy working here was real cool though. Side note: 18% gratuity tax on parties of 5 or more.

I’ve had a bunch of different experiences when I’ve come to Ice. The staff varies. I’ve had really great service as then I’ve had poor service as well. I don’t think it looks good to see the staff on the computer or smoking hookah on the job. But that’s just my opinion. I love their staff creation flavors. Skittles and black magic are a few of my favorites. The décor is decent. They have a new mural up. just simply«Ice Hookah» with s smokey design. They had some white sheets up prior to the mural that glowed in the black lights, but I’m glad they replaced them. The bathroom is really tiny and it’s kind of gross to be honest. I try avoiding it if I can. Overall I go to Ice for the hookah because I’ve had really bad hookah elsewhere. I figure I can deal with the rest.

If you want a nice atmosphere to relax I would not recommend this place. It was around 85 degrees and humid when I got there. They carded me right when walking in the door which was strange, that’s a first at a hookah bar. I will say the custom blends they make there are really good, the tropical rum flavor was great. The one guy working there was too busy talking and smoking with a friend to bother checking on people very frequently. Only light is black light which may be cool in the right atmosphere, not for this place. No music, they were watching cops to start and then national lampoons family vacation? Yeaaaaah Must be close to a college

One of my fav after hours spots. I love hookah and they offer a slew of pretty good flavors, dope background music, and the blacklight ambiance which tends to make everyone and everything more inviting. The owners are all young and very hospitable. The facility is what it is so if you’re looking for a more«grown-up» or polished atmosphere you probably should google upscale turkish restaurants but ladies, the bathroom is atrocious so *go* before you go FYI. I should mention that Friday and Saturday night are among their busiest periods so you should expect a wait as large groups dominate during the 10−1a threshold. Def a must-go if you’ve never hookah’d bc they seem to have the most flavors I’ve ever encountered.

I visited MD for the weekend and thought that this would be an interesting experience as I never tried hookah(or anything else involving smoking). Te exterior looks suspect. There is white spray paint decorating their window. At first I thought that the place was abandoned but obviously it wasn’t. Me and my sister went inside only to find 1 couple there. The male working there was pleasant, checked our ID, and seated us. The décor was horrible. Black lighting, music, and tv’s playing Star Wars.

Ice is a dope spot to hang out on late night. The music is always great and the staff become good friends — all over really good and inexpensive shisha! Plus, they have a black light! Don’t forget to bring a snack and plenty of multicolored highlighters so you can write on your friends. Ha!

I actually really like the Ice Hookah Lounge. When I’m looking for Shisha(the proper way to call it), I want a casual laid back place, not a place that tries to bring a busy night club atmosphere. Sure, the decoration is very minimal. The couches and tables are plain, and the walls draped in white curtains. But the couches(though not pretty) are comfortable, and as an Arab myself I appreciate that they don’t try their hand at the fake touristy middle eastern décor. The shisha itself is smooth, with a long selection of flavors, and they have weekday specials like two for the price of one. Employee’s periodically check up on you and are welcoming. If you’re just looking for good Shisha, and don’t care much for an exciting atmosphere, this is the place to go. If you care more for a fun atmosphere than for quality Shisha, then skip this place. There is however no food other than chips and candy(shisha makes people hungry so I think that’s unfortunate).

I went to ice couple of times in my junior year. This has to be one of the most over paid place with sub par hookahs. They have a very weird billing system. They charge you by the amount of people are sitting on the table rather than charging you by the amount of hookah you buy. Bottom line: If you dont mind over paying for O.K. hookah. Ice lounge is just the place for you!

I found this place quite interesting. The fact that they IDEVERYONE. And we are talking everyone… even people that appear to be.3o.4o…nope you still get Id’d. Lots of hookah flavours here. all listed on the little laminated piece of paper at your ikea table. I found that the last time I went there it was not too clean. I was sitting on the couch and by the time I had left had quite a amount of lint? fuzz? on me from I think the sofa. hha A little bothered by that but otherwise this place is really nice. Its quiet and people keep to themselves when they are here. The prices are pp so its broken down pretty evenly. They offer little munchies and sodas as well. Its one of the few places in towson that is open late into the night.

I hv been here a couple of times. Once when it opened(abt 1.5−2 yrs ago) and once last month. The interiors are relli minimalistic to say the least. cheap IKEA couches and white curtains with neon lights… but hey, its catered to the college crowd, who probably wouldnt care much abt the interiors as long as what it serves is good and reasonably priced. and GOOD it is… no wait, AWESOME!!! The hookah which comes with the ice goes smoothly… I dont think I hv ever had a better hookah any place else. They hv a good variety of flavors as well… and wednesday nites are supposed to be 10 bucks all u can smoke hookah. It is relatively small, so finding a table during weekends mite be difficult. But, we went on a sat nite, and the host took my fone no. and gave me a call as soon as one was available. Till that time, I was drinking beer at the bar next door.(Kent I think) I wonder, why I don’t visit this place more often.

You wouldn’t guess by its unassuming interior, but downtown Towson holds a secret just a couple doors down from the Recher Theater: a casual hookah lounge. I’ve given this place 5 stars because while it doesn’t offer the usual accoutrements of other hookah lounges, it does good hookah and it does it right. ICE’s modern interior is sparse in traditional trappings: white curtains hang from the walls, and the only furniture pieces present are black couches, tables & ottomans. Yet the clean, open look of ICE is a welcome diversion from the usual tapestries and other items of Middle Eastern culture. Dim lighting from black lights overhead furthers the concept that this is a place for the college crowd to relax. I was disappointed at first by what the menu lacked: no food save a few snack items such as candy, and only cold beverages(soda, Red Bull, juice) were available for drink.(Yes, I know — no Turkish coffee!) But you come to a hookah lounge for hookah, and ICE delivers. All of the hookahs come with ice, which I appreciated because usually this is only available by special request. We got one of ICE’s «Interfusions» that mixed vanilla flavoring with blueberry/raspberry mix. While the vanilla was a bit distracting to the taste of the tobacco, the juice added an excellent flavor to the smoke. The pipes were clean and well-maintained, and the overall smoking experience was one of the best I’ve had. An attentive waitress also came by from time to time to blow on our coal to make sure the hookah was still properly lit. The price was one of the best parts: for two bottles of water, a pack of Starbursts, and our berry hookah, we only paid $ 19. Not bad considering the top-notch quality of the hookah, the fun ambiance, and the lack of a minimum price to pay, something I can’t stand at most hookah joints. There’s a minimum 18% gratuity for large groups, but I gladly tipped more than that considering the attentiveness of the wait staff. The place was a bit small, so I do wonder if it can handle a weekend crowd effectively, but the service was great when we went on a Thursday night. I feel as if ICE is truly those little gems of Towson, and I’m glad to share it as an alternative to the overpriced hookah joints of Baltimore and DC. It may not be the full hookah experience you’re expecting, but as I said, what it does do, it does well.
