This was a great experience. The atmosphere and background music was nice. It’s a great date spot. the staff was nice and bathroom was clean. I had the lemon drop mojito, coffee cured fillet mignon and mashed potatoes. That steak was amazing! Ahhh… the hot small dinner rolls and butter…

I want to love this place but it’s so underwhelming. The service is usually great and I love that they are very close to the valet station and parking is free with validation. The food as been hit or miss. During this visit I had the lobster bisque. It was luke warm and had two very small pieces of lobster. I also had the tuna roll which I’ve had many many times in the past. This visit it wasn’t so good. It was greasy and way over cooked. I love the de’core and the service but I may need to find a new place if the food doesn’t improve.

Best steak I’ve ever had. I had the coffee cured fillet, au gratin potatoes and asparagus. One of my favorite dinners EVER. Drinks were great. Bartender was very friendly. We went for happy hour and thought it would be too pricey but it wasn’t as bad as we had thought. Love this place. Will go back soon.

Wow is all that i can say. This place is my new favorite. The coffee infused filet is unbelievable. I have never had such a flavor explosion in my mouth and I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the country. I was intrigued by the discription and had to try it. Dylan had a cheese burger that was perfectly cooked. Everything was top shelf. Highly recommend this place.

I went here again for happy hour, it’s been over year. I was surprised when the bartender handed us the menu and most of the items that use to be on there were gone. They only had there 3 cheapest starters to choose from on the happy hour menu which were deviled eggs or some kind of chip and dip. I was very disappointed and left without ordering.

I actually loved this place. Andy was amazing. Very attentive and very knowledgeable. Ordered steak rolls for an appetizer which was so good. got the 7 ounce steak and mash potatoes. The food was great and very fresh. I would definitely go there again.

This place is huge! We were with a large party that kept getting bigger. The service was very good, attentive and helpful. I just had the house salad, so I can really only comment on that, it was great and flavorful. Everyone around had a variety of appetizers, deviled eggs, salads and steaks, ribs and french fries. Everything looked appetizing. A little pricey…

Went yesterday for my boyfriend’s birthday. We went at 2:00, and the place was empty. Our food was fantastic. I got the 7 oz center cut filet oscar style, cooked medium rare with a loaded baked potato. He got the Bone-in Cowboy but Rib-eye, also cooked medium well with garlic mashed potatoes. Both steaks were cooked well(mine was perfect, his was a little over, but not too much), and the baked potato was one of the biggest I’ve ever seen. The garlic mashed were just okay, nothing to write home about. Our service on the other hand was just sub-par. You could tell she was aggravated that we did not order appetizers, or alcoholic drinks. I don’t even think she told us her name. She checked on us only once after we got our food, before she haphazardly threw the dessert menu on the table to ask if we wanted anything. Like I said, it was his birthday, and his 30th, so it was a big deal. If she would have been a better server, we would have ordered dessert. Instead we left and went somewhere else, so we would feel comfortable eating our dessert and celebrating his birthday. I know we probably came at the end of her shift, but we spent a decent amount of money, and don’t deserve to be treated like we are an annoyance. If the rating was 100% based on food, I would easily give this place 4 stars. I also the bartender come out and take a table in the dining room before we left. I wish I knew his name, because he seemed amazing. I would of loved to have him as my server instead. Guess next time we will be sitting at the bar, maybe that would make the experience better.

Large steakhouse that is probably your best option for food around here, everything else is Cheesecake factory-esque. Came with a huge party, all ordered different things, I tried the steak and it was PERFECT, melt in your mouth. The deviled eggs were sub-par, had kind of a weird taste. The southern slaw was pretty good. The french fries and ribs were also very good, but would recommend sticking with a steak. They were fast with service and good at accommodating a large party with little to no notice.

Only been here for happy hour(otherwise I’d give 5 stars) but this is a great alternative to the other restaurants nearby. The ambiance isn’t as bustling and the staff rules. Seriously the most attentive and pleasant staff I’ve come across in the area. Drinks made to order are some of the best I’ve had. The bartenders seriously know what they’re doing as a craft. The starters I’ve had were great. They could maybe have a few more starters but all things considered a pleasant experience.

Stoney River is consistently very good it’s not on the level of Capital Grille or Morton’s, but it is a good cut above Longhorn or Outback. The prices are reasonable. Ambiance is good, and it’s nicely appointed. The service is always quite good, without being overbearing. The starters are all good choices and the steaks always consistently good. I’ve been here for private parties and casual dinners, and it is a good value for the price.

My experience here was, to say the least, interesting. I would give the service only one star, but I would give the food 4.5 stars. It’s very unfortunate that the service ruined my friends’ and my experience here. First of all, the place was very busy when we went. We were put on the waitlist for 45 minutes. Then, it turns out they accidentally took us off the waitlist so we had to wait more. We were seated at a table that kept tilting(one of the legs was damaged). We notified the waiter, who attempted to fix the problem but was unable to in the end. We NEVER got any silverware or bread plates, even though we were promised we would get them. The tables around us were served bread and butter before us(even though they were seated after us) and they got bread multiple times(we had to ask for more after the first time). The waiter wasn’t particularly friendly either, although he did do his job. The food, on the other hand, was delicious! The honey butter that went with the warm bread was absolutely delicious! The chicken sandwich I had was great. I highly recommend the desserts! The crème brûlée was rich and creamy — perfect. The chocolate cake with ice cream is brought ro the table where steaming chocolate sauce is poured over the dessert. The cheesecake was also delicious and rich! The only time I might return is when the restaurant is not busy, but otherwise, the service ruined the night for me and my friends sadly.

My friend recommended that we check out this location because we had such a great dining experience at the Stoney Rive Annapolis location a while back. I would have skipped eating here based on the three star rating on Unilocal… because Unilocalers rarely steer me wrong! But it wasn’t my restaurant pick, so I went with low expectations. However, Stoney River gets a solid four stars in my book, and they are well earned. Now, I’m doing this thing where I enjoy my meals and life in general first instead of taking pictures before I can enjoy anything. Soooo no pictures to share… maybe I will do an empty plate picture lol. But really, I think everything I ordered was captured by another Unilocaler. The reason Stoney River does not get 5 stars, is mostly for service. Service was satisfactory, but it wasn’t memorable. Memorable service deserves 5 stars. Valet service is complementary using the Towson Town Center valet with a validated ticket, so that’s awesome. Also, I was able to make reservations at Stoney River using one of my favorite services… OpenTable, and our information was printed on a card for the server, so that was a nice touch. Stoney River has a nice ambiance. They also have quite a large bar and some high-top tables sectioned on one side of the restaurant. The main dining area had a few groups so this is a nice place for a celebratory dinner. We were able to get a booth as I requested, probably because it was Friday evening and there were many empty tables. Also, I think the dress code here is a bit more casual and relaxed because of it’s location in the mall. I ordered a Rib-eye steak with a side of Au Gratin Potatoes and Asparagus. And of course, I had a glass of red wine =) Since this is a review, I’d have to say this steak just deserved the silver medal.(My favorite restaurant that I won’t mention here still holds the gold baby!) The steak was cooked medium and it was served with a bit of Maître d’ butter on top. It was good, but the steak was slightly dry and just not gold medal flavorful… but as I said, it was good! This is also where Stoney River fails to receive 5 stars… I like my meat coming out with aplenty juice running! The Au Gratin Potatoes… I liked those more than I expected, plus they were very impressive looking with thin layers. Asparagus was cooked perfectly! And to my utter delight, they had Key Lime Pie listed as a dessert option! They get an extra ½ star just for that… Hontey… KLP is #1 in my pie book. I was stuffed, but its hard to find homemade KLP so I ordered it to-go. I’m the one who can only eat like three bites of pie or cake at a time, so it takes me like three days to finish any kind of rich dessert. Well… except during Thanksgiving! Anywho… the filling was creamy, rich and not very tart… and the crust was homemade with bits of pecan. I’m a southern girl, so I loved the crust because pecan and graham cracker crust is standard for many pies. So as I was standing over my counter at home eating this I was like YAAAASSS!!! Life was given. *in my terminator voice* I’LLBEBACK!!!

French Onion Soup is a little bit salty, stil great. Will be perfect if you served on Bread Bowl. Prime Rib, like all steaks if it’s not medium(or med. rare depending on thickness) cooked, it loses all juice and flavor. Include some draft beers, you know, steak goes as well with beers as with wines. About the service I don’t have to complain… the place was a a little crowded, big table parties. But the food came in perfect timing.

Was very happy with the coffee steak, it was expertly cooked and the seasoning was great. Nice spot right at the mall.

The worst, most disappointing meal I’ve had in a long time… especially from a place that claims they serve«legendary steaks.» I enjoy spending time at Towson Town Center and it would be great to have a go-to steak restaurant but this isn’t the spot. I was underwhelmed. No wonder I never hear anyone mention this place. The service was good and they have a pleasant ambiance that I like better than say Capital Grill. It’s also in a good location in the Pottery Barn/Crate and Barrel wing of the mall but that’s where my positive review ends. I could not eat even three bites of my fish special of the day since it was amazingly fishing. I love fish but this was unappetizing. The manager was apologetic and took my meal off the check. Salad was wilted Steak was average Lobster tail was fried in a tempura batter and it ruined the lobster Fish special — I don’t even remember what kind of fish they had because it was terrible

My husband made reservation for us for my birthday last week. I’ve always enjoyed our dinners here and like the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. It’s also usually quiet which we also like. He requested that we have a table near the fireplace for the romantic aspect, plus I’m anemic so it’s always nice to be placed directly near a heat source. When the reservation was made he mentioned it was my birthday as he was under the impression they do something special and the girl noted it and unfortunately she said they couldn’t guarantee that table. We arrived 20 minutes prior to the reservation time and he was happy that the table was available and obviously I was too. Our server was VERY attentive the duration of dinner and the food was also delicious. I was disappointed to find out that they still don’t have a blender to make frozen drinks which is a bit odd for a restaurant of their sorts. We had ordered the steak rolls, soup, coffee curated filet and prime rib dip along with several different sides. I highly recommend the coffee curated filet which is delectable and also the macaroni and cheese side which is baked with Gouda. In the future I would definitely skip out on the French fries(came with my husbands sandwich) as they are average and the greasy steak rolls. At the time I didn’t know, but my husband was a bit upset that they didn’t do anything special for my birthday, as he was under the impression they did.

My family came here to celebrate my Mom’s 50th Bday. We made reservations. Upon arrival we were promptly seated. After looking over the menu I ordered the 14oz Rib Eye cooked Medium. My family ordered steaks, the lime chicken, a burger, and cocktails. The server brought us rolls but we had to wait for more because they ran out. Once the food came everyone enjoyed their meals which were all cooked to perfection. I sent my order of potato Augratin because they were dry and lacking flavor. I ordered the sweet potato casserole. Yummers! A cold slice of birthday cake came out and you can tell it was pre sliced in the fridge. Not impressive. The waitress was really sweet. She didn’t go out of her way or anything but I know I was a nuisance and she handled it well. I’ve been here time and time again as I am a frequent Towson Mall patron. This steak house was just what this mall needed.

The chips are delish. The steaks came out cool, BUT tasty. They offered to take back. Server attentive. Offered dessert because of steaks. Would recommend. Now I would have given a 4 but the temperature in restaurant, hard to control. Very hot by kitchen, and smoky. Both my friend and I were stuffed up.
