The service was pretty bad. We were treated like an inconvenience. We’re tourists. Fuck us, you know? Some older locals came in and were treated like great human beings. The bread/food was great. I want to like this place, I do. I can’t justify rating higher than 3-stars with the unprofessionalism that my girlfriend and I witnessed, however.

Great place to visit! They have a great selection of sandwiches and the place is split in two– the bottom is the bread and sandwich shop and the 2nd floor is the seating area which you could tell used to be an old apartment. Serve yourself coffee and drinks(honor system) and relax and wait for your food to be served to you! Will definitely come back

Was in the area Geocaching and had to check inside. It was around lunchtime so we HAD to grab a sandwich. Wow! Really reasonable and super good! Very creative ingredients and the bread was to die for. Couldn’t leave with taking a loaf home for some toast tomorrow. Check it out! BTW — they have a cute little eating area upstairs withdrew WIFI and A/C.

Awesome bread! We sampled their wares at SAMs club. After talking to the lady who clearly worked for the bakery, we were sold! We purchased a loaf of garlic Asiago as it tasted so yummy warm with butter. We finished our shopping and then dropped into their shop for lunch. The turkey parm sandwich on Parmesan peppercorn bread was exceptional. The basic salad was fresh and tasty. The sugar cookie frosted with real buttercream was a delicious conclusion. We enjoyed the space upstairs. We will go back!

It is tough to think of a nicer way to start the day than going to Bay Bread for a caramel nut roll and coffee. Then, if you like, you can also take home pizza or bread for later. They usually have great stuff on the«day old» rack too and it is still very fresh. Love this place.

Popped in for a sandwich to go, it was amazing!!! And so reasonably priced! Plus the staff was very friendly. All the lunch sandwiches looked good, but I would recommend the turkey cherry.

Best Breakfast Sandwich of my life. The Italian Breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls are a must. The lattes and coffee were also delicious. We went here two days in a row for breakfast.

Don’t get me wrong, the bread is wonderful. I had a cinnamon bun, the cranberry sourdough, the pepper Parmesan, and the cinnamon bread. All of the breads were delicious. The service, however, was a huge turnoff. I walked in and was greeted, and someone asked me what I would like. I asked a simple question, the lady answered and walked away, not suggesting any other breads that I should try, seeing as they did not have the one that I wanted. No one is friendly in the bakery, everyone walks around lacking a smile on their face. Customer service needs to be worked on. The environment is not pleasant when you walk in.

What a great bakery. We bought several loaves to take home. Can’t wait to try them all. What we did try was excellent. Prices are very reasonable. But what I really wanted to point out was the excellent service we received. The gal that helped us pick out our breads was really great at heping us make our selections. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. We didin’t eat there so can’t comment on the menu or quality of sandwiches. We did take a quick trip upstairs to see the area– really neat. Will have to come back next time we are in town. I’d love to have a place like this in my home town. Matching a great product with excellent service– a win everytime.

In our group I had the turkey on honey wheat while our other two had soups(white bean chili and tomato bisque). You order in the bakery and then walk upstairs to The Roost where your order is delivered. The food was exceptionally good. This is a really neat place with incredibly fresh breads and soups… well worth the visit. And very reasonably priced.

I tried this place last year during The Cherry Festival and I really enjoyed the stick buns. I went back this year and I ate here twice with my hubby. The breakfast sandwiches were extremely tasty. I had the ciabatta bread which also had a dust of what I believe is seasalt or kosher salt on it. I was a pleasant surprise to my tastebuds. We also got a sticky bun which did not disappoint. The breakfast sandwich was $ 5.25. In NY, yes you can get a bacon egg and cheese on a roll for less than half this price but it would never taste as good as the bacon egg and cheese at this place.

This is a good little bakery/café in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten path. They offer fresh bread along with sandwiches, soup, and coffee drinks. Downstairs is where you order. If you want to stay and eat a area upstairs, called the Roost, is reached by going back out and then up. It is a odd arrangement but it works alright. Their sandwiches are very well made with their bread. The soup tasted like it was from a reconstituted mix so not very good or recommended. We bought and are still enjoying their sourdough and cinnamon swirl breads. All in all it was a decent dining experience.

Great fresh sandwiches made right in front of you. All fresh breads for purchase too and baked good-the best cherry oatmeal cookies in town too…

I learned about Bay Bread when I ordered a sandwich at Harbor 22 and it was served on their cranberry(soaked in cherry juice)/walnut bread. Yum! I special ordered 3 loaves to take home after vacation and give to family with a jar of cherry preserves. They also make some good double chocolate/espresso scones that are very dense, taste like chocolate pop tarts and are yummy with coffee.

Rolling into TC, I was looking for a small and unique place to eat. You walk in and nothing beats the smell of fresh bread and baked goods. Rows of fresh loaves await for you to point at them and take them home with you. I would eat a whole loaf, but a sandwich is what I needed. I tried the Pepper Parm Turkey and a Blueberry Scone. You order in the bakery and if you want to sit down, you step outside and just left of the entrance, is a staircase that goes up to the apartment above, their dining area. It’s a fully converted apartment for your enjoyment. Do I even need to say that the bread was fresh on the sandwich? It was. The turkey was moist and the cheese was nice. I expected more pepper jack flavor, it’s lost in the sandwich unfortunately. It’s a great fresh sandwich to replace any fast food joint that your visiting. The scone was that carb filled«dessert» we needed to finish the lunch. It had a nice outside finish and an inside that was soft and crumbly. I could probably eat another fifty more bread products in this joint.

Great baked goods and sandwiches. THEFOOD The Biscotti is really really good. The scones are pretty good too. The hot Italian sandwich is good, but not at all hot. But the one that the whole family is now addicted to is their Veggie sandwich with Hummus and Cream Cheese. THESERVICE They totally forgot about our sandwich order. But apologized profusely and even comped us on the sandwiches. They really do get super busy, with a line nearly out the door — they need to just put in a process to check they did not miss something. THEATMOSPHERE Very nice and quaint… clean too. Actually this was the best food memory of our trip. Highly recommended and will repeat.

I agree with David C. regarding the friendliness of the people here. Especially compared to just about every other place we’ve been to in TC. Smile and act a little happier — you’re making amazing baked goods for people! But if this review was solely about the backed goods, it’s easily a 5+. The bread, muffins, cookies and sandwich we had were all excellent! We’ll go back because there is a lot more bread and different types of cookies to try.

So, as others have said, the bread is grrrreat. I had a sandwich & cookie deal, turkey on multigrain. Tasty veggies, lettuce/tomato, basic but good. I should’ve checked about the condiments, but I forgot, so it was swimming in mayo. No quiero. Anyways, I ate about 1 slice of the bread, and it was good. I just pretty much ate the fillings because there was too much mayo, I need to get over it I know. The cookie, t’was molasses, a bit hard. Good taste though, I had a lil bit and then took it home in the evening and stuck in the microwave for 15 sec and voila, softer cookie. Wish I had know about the salads or brekkie sandwiches, serves me right. I like that they have an upstairs seating area, the store itself is pretty busy, lobby/ordering configuration takes a sec to understand if you haven’t been in awhile or if it is pre-coffee ordering for you.

LOVE their salads. LOVE their bread. What’s not to LOVE about Bay Bread?! Fairly priced and freshly prepared on the salad front –I usually rock their TC Salad with whatever blueberries due to the cherry shortage and it is goo-ood. Their feta is to die for. I was hoping it was locally made, sadly not. Brought in by Sisco… oh well. Guess I’ll just have to go buy a tub of it somewhere. Have bought some baked goods from them; the cream cheese pound cake is definitely a standout — went really well with my strawberries for strawberry shortcake! YUM!

I’m a big fan of sourdough bread and when I came across the Bay Bread Co, I had to go. We stopped into this very small(and I mean small) place for lunch last week. I had the Chipolte BLT on Sourdough bread and their chipolte sauce was excellent. My husband had their Hot Ham and Cheese on Sourdough and he, too, thought the bread and sandwich were great. If you’re in the area and looking for a great place to have a sandwich(or even to pick up a fresh loaf of bread), I would recommend Bay Bread Co.
