Fustini’s failed at this location today because of customer service. We have shopped here often over two years. I bring back the bottles because I figured this style of commerce is environmentally friendly etc. I always buy 2 to 4 products. Yesterday when we arrived the sales staff received our bottles, looked at them and immediately started to critique them. Cleanliness, age and method of cleaning. We were going to purchase products but it was apparent that they did not need our business. Fortunately this concept of oils and vinegar stores is in our home town so I will not be back to any Fustini’s for any products again. Remind your staff that the first impression is a lasting one, no matter how wonderful your product may be.

Awesome store that lets you taste all the oils and vinegars. So many flavors! The Staff was very helpful in pairing oils to what you are making and using them for and pairing the flavors!

Went and surprised to see white balsamic vinegar. We got to taste any one we wanted. All tasted very good. Had a hard time picking a few to take home. Also had flavored oils. A great place if you love cooking with oil and vinegar.

Awesome. Beautiful store, well organized with helpful cards. The woman working was very friendly. I love that you can sample everything and that they offer books for recipe ideas. Also very nice glass bottles

Delicious flavored oils and balsamics. I just wish they had bread to sample with… I’m sure that would lead to trouble though. Some of the flavors are way more unique than I have seen and the prices are decent. Definitely a place to stop by for at least 15 minutes.

A couple of years ago I received a bottle of 18 year old traditional balsamic from my brother and I cherished and loved it down to the last drop. It is delicious, and thick and goes great on a variety of dishes sauces and dressings. I went in this weekend and sampled some other oils and vinegars. The truffle oil was good, but overpriced. They had variety of flavored oils and vinegars, and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

I’ve been to Fustini’s maybe four times since they opened. There’s nothing that memorable about me… and yet, each visit after my first one, they remembered me by name. This alone would get me to visit the store, even without the oils and vinegars… The staff are always helpful and welcoming, offering pairing ideas and recipes and distracting my three year old with a sucker and crayons on a coloring table. One employee even sat down to color with him once while I tried some oils. Awesome! Favorites are the 18 year balsamic, cilantro & onion oil, peach balsamic(OMGGOOD), and the tuscan herb oil. can’t wait to try more! I do wish they sold smaller bottles so I could keep a larger assortment at the house. Maybe they do, I’ve never really paid attention… I’m too busy being amazed that they remember my name.

At 10AM, on a Tuesday Morning, the last thing I expected to be doing was throwing back shots of vinegar and olive oil. I ventured into this quaint storefront, very similar to many of the other stops I had made along my stroll down Front Street. Except this stop was unique. Two friendly female associates greeted me and began to explain the concept of the store. Creative and unique flavorings of balsamic vinegars and olive oil. As a female in my mid-20’s, well let’s be honest here, late 20’s, I am still experimenting with various ways to prepare meals. After discovering Fustini’s I now have a new secret weapon in the kitchen. Many of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars pair so well together I will be sampling new combinations for a while to come.

What a great store! My wife and I come by here every time we visit her family in TC. I love the ability to taste different oils and vinegar and the staff recommendations are right on, for the most part. The last time we were in we mentioned that we were flying home that day and the girl behind the counter wrapped our bottles up to protect them on the trip. It was very thoughtful. If I lived closer I would certainly go here more often!

Fustini’s is the coolest place! Along the left-hand side of the store are small barrels of olive oil. .. all are extra virgin, first-cold pressed and many of them are flavored. Along the right-hand side of the store are small barrels of Balsamic vinegar. .. many of them flavored as well. Each tiny barrel has a spigot and there are tiny little cups so that you can taste each and every one. What an adventure! On a recent trip there a very helpful staff person kindly took me under her wing and led me through all the varieties of flavored oils and vinegars. I finally decided on the Tuscan olive oil, infused with basil, garlic and oregano. The balsamic vinegars are authentic, all made from Trebbiano grapes and the one I chose was aged for 18 years! They have olive oils infused with blood orange, Meyer lemon, porcini and also many varietals. The vinegars are available in plain 12 year old dark, 12 year old white, 18 year old dark, plus many fruit/herb infused vinegars as well. They also have walnut, sesame, macadamia and white truffle oil, as well as champagne and sherry vinegars. The combinations of flavors between the oils and vinegars are almost overwhelming. This is such an interesting store to visit. .. I sincerely hope they do well in Traverse City. And I’m running a little low on that Tuscan olive oil. .. so I’ll be making another trip there soon!
