Dick Booth Nexus Instruments

If you have Nexus instruments on your boat, Dick is the person that will be recommended by the manufacturer for any repairs. In my case, the repair was to my anemometer, which had stopped rotating. Dick was very responsive with my initial emails, but after I sent the unit I didn’t hear from him for quite a while. I mailed my unit in mid July and got it back in mid September. During that time period he didn’t answer my multiple emails or voicemails (and we had no wind instruments for our summer race series). I began to suspect I would need to buy a new unit. Suddenly out of the blue in mid September I got an email, a quote, and he did the work. The anemometer is now on the boat and working well. A friend of mine also sent her anemometer to Dick for fixing, and got it back within about a month with much better communication. This review is to say that you’ll get the work done properly, just don’t plan on necessarily having your instruments back to use within the sailing season.
