A great hole in the wall place to grab a drink, some wings, and spend some times with friends. Anthony, the manager, is very friendly and attentive to all the customers. Don’t be turned off by the house-like exterior, the parking lot is in the back.

Some of the best wings you’ll put in your mouth. Try the Cajun fries as well with some grandmas sauce. Very tasty

My favorite bar in the ewing area. I just wish it didn’t take me so long to figure out what this place was. Parking lot and entrance are in the back. Great people, noise level is low enough to talk, and they have great wings!

I still give this place 4-stars. The only issue I’ve ran into recently is they will intermittently not have the food the advertise. I went there for the wings and they were out. They were also out of mozzarella sticks and mac and cheese bites. Another time I went and the cook was MIA. The bartender said she had, «no idea where the cook is.» So at that time only fried food was available. When they do have food here it is generally pretty damn good. Just don’t count on it being available all the time.

I used to work around the corner from here and the airport inn is always a nice place to have a few before heading home. The staff is always attentive and the food is equally good as well. While it may not look like much outside, the interior is warm and inviting. Quite a few locals go here so it has to be good otherwise that wouldn’t happen. Never had a bad experience there just be careful entering and exiting, traffic makes sure you do not get out easily. And that is troublesome.

Really a great little place. Good draft selections and the menu is simple but the food is great quality.

Al’s is a classic neighborhood hangout with great bartenders. If you like dive bars with friendly regulars this is the place for you. I highly recommend the wings, they have a good amount of heat with a hint of sweet. Al’s is the perfect happy hour bar, if you happen to find yourself in West Trenton you should check it out.

Great bartenders, great drinks. Just don’t go for the food. They never have what they advertise. 2 nights in a row. Sigh… The menu says they have pierogies. Nix. Mac and cheese bites. Nix. Cheese steaks. Nix.

I’ve never had the pleasure of eating at Al’s but we stopped here for after dinner beers one night and it was exactly as expected. Locals and regulars at the bar, college kids by the darts and juke box. Everything you could ever need and want in local dive. Bartender was attentive and friendly– even coming around to our table to collect glasses and ask if we wanted another round. It’s in dire need of an interior update; but it is what it is! Love it or leave it!

Yuengling on draft for $ 2.50/pint! This is a good place for beer and appetizers. The hand cut chips are really good! Good for bar food too; Burgers, wings, cheese steak.

I have to say I was pretty skeptical about coming to this dive. I have been living in Ewing since May and have been looking for a new place to check out with my friends. I was not disappointed by this bar. The help was very friendly and helpful. Try the Trenton cheesesteak and homemade fries. Grandmas sauce was da bomb! The chef gave us the scoop on the ghosts that haunt the bar. So cool! Check this place out for a truly authentic dive bar experience.

5 star dive bar! We were early for our flight so we stopped into Al’s for a beer and a bite. I love that I feel like I’m having a drink in my grandpa’s basement. The bartender was friendly and the perogies are homemade! Get them with bacon… you won’t be disappointed! Old Bay fries were a perfect side. $ 2.50 domestic drafts are a great deal. If I lived closer I’d definitely come by again. Hopefully I’ll be in the area again soon.

Ok, people. New rule. No drunk review posting! I’ve seen the reviews and wanted to see for myself the reasons for the 5-star reviews. Having lived in the area for over 20 years, I’ve never visited Al’s Airport Inn but understand that it was the«go-to» bar and restaurant in Ewing many, many years ago. The place is dark, dated and shows the signs of better days gone by. I’m sure that in its heyday many a traveler, and frequent patron alike, hoisted their glasses full of the many beers they once had on tap. The kitchen has recently reopened after being closed for a long time. The menu is very limited, consisting mainly of fried food. The bar is well-stocked, and they have a decent selection of tapped beers. I had a burger between slices of pork roll with cheese on a Kaiser roll, and a side of jalapeño poppers. The sandwich was tasty and the poppers were typical commercial poppers. Arlene had a plate of fried pirogues. She recommended that they introduce boiled pirogues as part of their future enhanced menu, and perhaps some type of salad offering. The owner’s grand-son, who manages the establishment, is working hard to update the menu and to enhance advertising to «get the word out.» While Al’s is by no means a 5-star establishment, with enough hard work, it may be again one day. If you’re looking for a few reasonably-priced drinks, in a bar with a friendly atmosphere, stop in and review Al’s yourself.

My fiancé and I have lived in Ewing for several years now and were on the hunt for a new spot where we could kick back, have a few beers and enjoy each other’s company! WEHAVEFOUNDIT! Al’s Airport Inn is our new favorite place despite only being there one time. We continue to tell neighbors, colleagues, friends, anyone who will really listen how great of time we had on Sunday afternoon. Our bartender was very personable and super accomodating. The food was delicious and everything was priced very reasonable. We ordered the fresh cut chips with grandma’s sauce — DELISH! This will be a must have each time we return. My fiancé order the wings and a pint deal for $ 6.95 and was not disappointed! He considers himself a wing connasiore so this is a very good thing! And I had the chicken fingers. We were able to have a great time, a few drinks and not break the bank for Sunday evening out of the house. Cannot wait to go back to Al’s Airport Inn time and time again! A new spot for our Sunday Fundays!

I think it’s funny this place has 5 stars. If a dive bar is what you are looking for then look no further! We like it because it’s always open and the people are nice. Reminds me of Cheers.

So I live about a mile away for over 2 years and never knew if this place was open, was a liquor store or was someone’s house with an affinity for bar lights. Needless to say, this is as divey as a bar can get. There were only locals inside, little bags of chips in a basket and shelves and shelves stocked of liquor. All that variety, very nicely organized in clean rows, prompted me and my beau to try a little bit of everything. The bartender was great, very generous pours and with dive bar prices, we easily had about 10 drinks. Which of course then made me start changing the Western country oldies station to Pitbull and Shakira on the Jukebox. People didn’t seem to mind too much… or if they did they were more entertained by my tipsy dancing to say anything. Our bartender was super friendly and chatty like a good bartender should be. She said the kitchen should be back up in March 2014, which would be perfect because I felt like that’s the only thing this place needed. It has a spooky appeal, complete with a newspaper clipping on the wall confirming how the place is haunted. I absolutely loved the allure of the entire place and will definitely be returning. Oh did I mention that happy hour is extended here til 8PM! BTW, parking is in the back in case you have passed by it wondering what to do with your car.
