It’s hard to find brisket done right but this place knocks it out of the park! Perfectly seasoned and given just the right amount of time to cook this place has clearly done its homework. One of the very best brisket place I’ve found in the philly area, perfect for a party or celebration.

Big fan on BBQ! Jersey Devil redefines what BBQ is! Their brisket falls apart just by touching it and the beans are the best I’ve had! If you’re looking for a great tasting BBQ that will leave you full Jersey Devil is a can’t miss! Fair warning though… bring a big appetite because you’re not going to want stop eating!

Great Q! Great friendly service! Had some JD-BBQ at the Unionville Vineyard this weekend. Was more than satisfied. Everything was delicious. Had pulled pork sandwich, loaded fries(fries were crispy which is key) and took home a half rack of ribs and mac n cheese. Awesome! Will be back, soon!

For years the live fantasy football drafts I participated in consisted of a bunch of bros getting together with cases of beer out numbering people 3 to 1 and maybe a hoagie tray plus a bag of Bugles. This has led to classic scenes like the the 3rd Round David Akers pick of 2009 and who could forget the 10th Round Todd Pinkston Write In of ’07. This year I joined a new league with a buddy from work who informed me that the draft would be at his house Sunday and that it’s BYOB and there will be some BBQ to grub on for lunch. Had I not just gotten back from my bachelor party in Las Vegas that Monday I would have ridden there on the Budweiser clydsdales but the thought of anything malted was enough to put me over the edge so I was mostly there to eat and pick winners. While people were getting set up Dan the owner had delivered a 13 pound brisket along with a tray of smoked beans. I wandered into the kitchen while he was slicing the meat and he informed me that this was a new rub he was trying and was a bit spicier than his usual mix and offered me a bite. As I took my first chew, my Jewish sensibilities of what a brisket should taste like were washed away by a tidal wave of juicy, smoky, richness. By the time I regained my composure I was hit with the heat that was added to the new rub. It was about a 10 second delay and I was like«I feel it! I feel it!» *it’s acceptable to be reduced to a 9 year old while eating good BBQ. I’ve never tasted anything like it. So much flavor, I really wanted to try the original rub as well. The behemoth brisket was then set in the war room in a heating tray and beside it were baked beans that I’m told were fed to the Spartans in 300 to provide them with strength, courage. I guess they were put in the smoker along with the brisket and cooked for around 3 hours. They were gooey and sweet with big chunks of bacon, hot damn! Honestly they were almost as big a part of the experience as the brisket and that’s hard for me to say because I’m a true meat lover. I consider my first dry fantasy draft a raging success and that has nothing to do with my team(The Chip Kelly Kapowskis) because they can’t hold a candle to Jersey Devil. I just wish I knew about them earlier bc I had my engagement party catered by Magianos and no disrespect but that ain’t even close to what I had that fateful Sunday.
