awful experience, i felt rushed. my nails look like a little kid did them. if you didn’t want my business i could’ve went else where and spent my money. they didn’t even clean underneath my nails or any of the things that they normally should do. don’t go here it’s really not worth it at all.

I’ve been going here for 6 years. The last year the service has gone down hill. They can’t even do simple designs including the ones they have on display. I was told it was my fault for not making an appointment. I will NEVER go back! I would give them negative stars if I could. Also many times they burned me with file or made me bleed.

First time at this salon & sadly I will never go back! When I go get a pedicure it is a time to relax. I was probably in the pedicure chair for 12 min max. My pedicure was SOOORUSHED! She barley massaged me! My shoes were on & she lifted the chair arm. Totally rude, I felt like I was getting kicked out. She never asked what kind of pedicure I wanted, there was 1 scrub. Didn’t even offer me to go dry my nails under the light or sit in the chair to dry. She acted like she wanted me out! Super disappointed & will not return.

With all the nail salons in the area you would think they would be nicer. The head lady was just plain nasty. Sat on her phone while people waited and barked at all the workers like they were dogs. Awful impression. Worst was she actually got pissed off that I refused to get gel nails. I usually go to Pro nails across the street by Acme. Much happier crew there with better customer service. But this was on the way home so easier… Never again!!! Good thing we have so many options!

I went to Tip Top with a friend on Saturday March 28th. I wanted to get a regular fill with regular paint but that is not what I ended up with. A lady named Tammy did my nails. I was very specific with what I wanted but she still felt the need to ask me 4x if I wanted gel paint. I explained to her that regular paint works fine on acrylic and gel paint is not necessary. She asked for the gel paint so much that I felt pressure to say yes even though I already told her I didn’t want it at least 4x in 10 minutes. Not to mention that she did not even do a proper fill because when my nails were done it still looked like I needed a fill. Being someone who works off tips for a living I am a very good tipper. If Tammy would have done what I wanted I would have given her $ 10 but because she was too busy trying to increase my bill she only got $ 5. I understand it is her job to upsell but not after I kindly explained I did not want what she was offering. I will never go back here.

So unprofessional there. They really do not care about the customer service at all. I went there a hand full of times bust my last two experiences have been the worst and i will NEVERGOBACK! I was getting a refill with gel polish and as I was getting my nails filed down ready for polish this woman comes up and starts yelling at the man who is doing my nails. She said had an appointment 15 mins ago. I understand if she did but there were two other workers just sitting on the pedicure chairs just watching tv. He moves me to the station next to him paints my nails and then asks me to keep the one hand under the uv light and begins to work on her nails. Then is bouncing back and forth between us to get me finished and her started. I finally was finished after an hour when it really shouldn’t have taken more than 25 mins if even. The last time I went in I asked for a gel refill as soon as I walk in the door and they sit me down with a woman and she asks if I was a gel manicure, I say yes gel but refill she asked me two more times and I can barely understand her and I just say yes. She ends up prepping me for a manicure and paints my one nail and I ask her why she didn’t refill my nail first? She then accuses me of telling her the wrong thing and files down my nail removes the polish and starts to refill it. When I clearly walked through the door and they don’t even say hi and Just ask me what I want and I said REFILL. The ENTIRE30 mins left of my stay she is blaming me because I didn’t tell her refill and she was just assuming manicure… If you can clearly see that I have acrylic on my fingers why would I ask for a manicure which a huge gap in between my cuticle and last polish? I work in customer service and this was the worst service I have ever received I WILLNEVERGOBACK. On top of that two nails chipped the next day and two nails didn’t fully have polish on the sides of them. They just suck don’t go there

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I have been to Tip-Top Nails on 33 in hamilton, NJ a handful of times in the last 6 months. Each time i regret going there yet I was willing to give second chances until now. If you’re like me and work hard on your feet all day and want to sit back, relax, and enjoy a pedicure don’t expect anything but that at Tip-Top. Each time I always express to massage my legs & feet a little longer(I am always willing to pay extra for that) Instead, my pedicures are always rushed, not relaxing, and my nail polish was always put on half-a**. Lets now get on the topic of refills, I always get a refill with regular nail polish and some sort of glitter or gems(I love GLAM) Each time I say exactly what I want done, and each time the nail tech will argue with me over not getting gel polish, they will tell me that its too much glitter and I should do something else. Im sorry but aren’t I paying you to do this service on me? I found it extremely rude and insulting. The worst experience I’ve had there was last week when I simply wanted a refill(usually the price is $ 15) and this super cute OPI color I had found on the color wall. My nail tech came over to me while I was trying to choose my color and insisted I get gel while I clearly was settling on the regular polish, I told her no 3 times and than sat down to start my nails. The entire time she was doing my nails I kept telling her to be more gentle because the drill was burning my finger nails and it was very painful, she seemed to not care and continued. After the nails were prepped and ready to be polished the nail tech then brought up gel again and I started to get slightly irritated. I understand if she was making some sort of commission of each ticket but come on don’t piss off your client on their relaxing day off. I simply said fine let me see the colors, she was being so pushy and rude, I just caved and got the dang gel to shut her up since after all she swore up and down that the gel WOULDNTCHIP!!! I also chose to get these super cute bows with little rhinestones & pearls on them, although I was nervous they would fall off so I asked her if there was a way to ensure they would stay on until my next visit in 3 – 4 weeks. She promised me that after using this special gel underneath the bow that it wouldn’t ever fall off. I was sold and continued with the design. Somehow my total came out to be $ 40.00 when in the past it was around $ 30 – 35. 2 days later… the gel chipped and both bows fell off. I went back to the salon and explained the situation, the one nail tech started fixing the nails that were chipped, I explained that I did not want the bows back on and I wanted my money back because what she promised was clearly false. The nail tech straight up told me «NO» so I said ok get the manager i wanna talk to her, she then lied and said she was not in… I said on then call her(working in retail for 5+ years I know the tricks they pull) She walked to the back and then what to do you know the manager comes out, oh wow i thought you said she wasn’t in? thats funny… The manager told me she wasn’t going to give me a refund because she has a business to run. I told her that if she was serious about running her business she would really need to improve her customer service because she not only lost me as a customer but I WILL tell everyone how awful this salon is.

I’ve always wanted to go to a nail salon where they know who you are and welcome you and I finally found it in this spot! I’ve been going to them for a few months now and now I have my sister and mom going as well– we all love it here. Vin, Tina, and Tina’s sister are our favorites although they ALL do a great job, I’m very specific with my nails and found they do it exactly how I like!

Have gone here a few times for pedicures; nothing special — it’s your typical strip mall nail salon. Today, I am pissed, though. I didn’t have time to go to my usual place for a gel mani. Not tips, not a refill, a gel mani that they are supposed to SOAKOFF. I walk into Tip Top today and the guy told me where to sit, then starts DRILLING my nails! I asked him, «Aren’t these supposed to be soaked off?» He told em that he would just use the drill on the gel, not the nail itself. Liar. As soon as he got the gel off, he started using an electric buffer on my nail, too — WTH? Never again. They are all about the quantity of customers they can get through and not about the quality of work. I get gel manis instead of acrylics for a reason. Idiots.
