I drove from SW Portland to Troutdale to get Hood strawberries because my wife used to pick berries for this farm during the summers in the 60’s and 70’s. I bought a «case»(12 boxes) and we are cutting them and freezing them tonight. A good 20% of the berries are rotten. The good ones are good, but there are far too many bad ones. A lesson learned — when you u-pick, you control the berries you bring home, not someone else.

Disagree with other reviews. I bought strawberries from stand in Gresham. They were the sweetest, freshest I have ever eaten! Perfection!

I bought half a flat of their berries(3 pints of blueberries and 3 pints of blackberries) at the Hollywood Farmers Market. Their prices are cheaper than the other vendors. Only $ 14 for half a flat — other vendors charge $ 17+. However they don’t accept EBT, credit, or debit — cash or check only. The blueberries were pretty good. There were some pretty plump sweet ones and some really small and sour ones. The blackberries were mostly sour(still edible). I don’t recommend you eat from the box even if the berries look pretty clean. I found feathers in the berries.
