Most times small town Mexican food on the highway spells disaster. Not here. Nuevo Jalisco is muy bueno. My views might be biased because I was hooked from my first taste of salsa (that’s 50% of the battle, in my opinion). Made in house and outstanding. Right heat, right salt. My second favorite salsa ever and I have a pretty big list. The rest of the food was made with love, too. Priced right with great flavor, try this place when traveling to or through Troy.

If your looking for a diamond in the rough this spot is for you!!! my husband had the rachero steak, and he just loved it… and the serving size is perfect. no fills all thrills. I had the green enchiladas and they we’re perfect and cooked to perfection. the salsa is hot just the way its supposed to be! I can’t believe this place doesn’t have any reviews and I’m the first. If this joint was in Austin it would be busyyyyyyyy all day! Definitely coming back if I ever head in this direction.
