Danielle and Shelly make a fantastic wedding beauty squad! I was thrilled with my bridal hair and makeup for the day, they made me look polished without looking like an overdone pageant queen. The makeup felt great and stayed on all day and I even had some ‘leftover’ eye makeup for the next day. The hair up-​do looked beautiful and my style stayed where it needed to be. Some of our family wedding guests also went there for hair and makeup after me and everyone looked great.
I found Mane Attraction after combing through every other salon with wedding services in the Truckee area, and they were by far the most reasonably priced. I just could not justify spending $ 500 for hair and makeup like some of the other places! Their pricing also included a trial & consultation which was extremely helpful and they pretty much nailed the look I wanted on the first try. Not to mention, they are both the sweetest people and the salon is lovely and quaint in downtown area, so was really close to my hotel. Definitely give them a call for your wedding, make sure you have check or cash for them.

Brianna dealt with my unruly hair with a cut and keratin like a BOSS. They are great.

I had my hair cut here yesterday and I look professional again. My hair was terrible after the holiday and my girlfriend was tell me the back of my neck looked like a ducks butt. The experience I had at mane attraction was pleasant. I’m a man and my typical hair cut is just that, a hair cut. I was surprised when francesca washed my hair and conditioned it. I am a plumber and thought that the hair washing sink was cool. It was comfortable. No additional cost. Pleasant conversation and I’m happy to send you or anyone to mane attraction salon

I opted for permanent makeup for eyebrows and they turned out great! Not a flaw. The color came out just right too. I’m so glad we have someone in our area that does this. I’ll be back.

I got a good cut and blow dry they were able to take me at the last minute on a Saturday afternoon. This salon is very charming, inside an old historic house with a cheerful modern interior and ample windows. The is a good place to go for a good haircut.

Melody is amazing! Just had permanent eyeliner done. She made it virtually painless. She is gentle and caring. and her work is fantastic. I went in scared and came out feeling and looking great. Thanks MeLody for making this experience so much better than it has been in the past. Highly recommend.

I had never been here before, then one day I decided to dye my own hair. I was going for burgundy but let me tell you I did real number on it! it was patchy and the color was all wrong. Never trust a box! i looked like a red cheetah it was awful. I called the salon to see if they could get in as soon as possible and they got an appointment with Amy the same day. She was very friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted. She made nice conversation while she fixed the catastrophic result of my handy work. She nailed the color! It looked amazing and I will definitely be seeing her again. They are also one of the more reasonable priced salons in town, I got a very fair price for the work she did.

Cute little sun drenched salon (it was very sunny the day I was there). Was able to secure an appointment with Amy (who is new) for the same day. I had some highlights put in (I have dark hair) and Amy was able to make it look natural (i.e. sunkissed) versus out of a bottle. She is very talented and very attentive. Look forward to getting future services from Amy.

It was simply time for a haircut… was referred to Mane Attraction by a local realtor so I called to make my appointment on very short notice and at the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend. Shelly fit me in on Friday afternoon and I walked out with the most amazing cut ever! Already scheduled my next appointment for a color for my next trip up in 2 weeks. She was fun to work with, has great ideas and gives the best shampoo massage ever!

I have been a client of Melody’s at Mane Attraction for too many years to count. The service she provides is outstanding! Everyone at the salon is very professional and attentive to the client they are working with.
They keep up with the latest styles and techniques and are quite good with suggestions, once you are ready to change your look.
Everything from cut, color, facials and permanent makeup is top notch! (And I have used all of those services.) The prices are quite reasonable. And the head massage that comes with the shampoo is worth the price of admission.

Several years ago Melody was recommended to me by a close friend, for permanent eye makeup. I did the permanent eye liner as it is more difficult for me to draw them on now while wearing glasses. It was great!!! As time passes, it was time to re-​do the eye liner. Just did and they look great! Melody is very professional and wonderful at her craft! I highly recommend her services.
