Celia’s Mexican Restaurant

Went here hoping to find some good Mexican food well past normal lunch time (130 or so). The service was really slow although in all fairness it looked like our server had about 9 tables. There was one other server working but they maybe took 2 tables while we were there. The food was really bland and flavorless. Too bad because I was rooting for a place in close walking distance!

This by far is the wort place to have food.
My family went there for lunch today and just couldn’t stay. When you walk through the door you smell shit all the way up the stairs. And then the waiter was rude, didn’t take our drink order for about a half hour. When my husband said he wasn’t eating I had the water cancel our order that he just put in, and he made it sound like it was the end of the world.
This place use to have amazing food, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere.
I will never be and I would not recommend it to anyone, ever!
And I don’t even give it a half star!

Recently moved to tualatin and this place is pretty close by, one of the best Mexican food spots I have been to and their happy hour is amazing.

They changed their names but nothing else, good food but poor service with rude servers and owner borders on rude!

This review is LONG overdue (I mean I’ve been coming here since before the name change, so, yeah, way overdue!!). This is one of my favorite places to go. Food is amazing, AND most of the staff already knows my order and to bring mild salsa for me. They treat me like family. Thank you Celia’s staff for always making me and my family feel so special.

I love this place, they know my order. They’re fast. There chips and salsa is ALWAYS good. The older man is a little challenging to get along with but he gets the order done and right. Be kind. All of the other servers are awesome. The owner gal is super sweet she always ask us how we are doing and how’s our life going. Which I love. I always get the chicken enchiladas and they are THE BOMB. Thanks for awesome service.

The food and drinks are pretty good, and they have some nice drink specials.
Service is… a bit lacking. There’s a bit of a language barrier with some of the service staff, which in itself is okay. The problem is things like not getting a menu or silverware until you ask for it (sometimes repeatedly)
Overall I think Celia’s is a decent place, I’d give it 4 stars if they correct a few easy fixes in the service area.

Really awful service. We were a table of 5 and had to ask for silverware at least 6 times. We received our food in a not so quick fashion and even once we received our food we had to continue asking for silverware. Our waters were not refilled once. The service took twice as long as it should have. I do not recommend this place and am highly dissatisfied with every part of the experience. Very disappointed. The food was of average quality.

Love the food here! My husband and I come her AT LEAST once or twice a month and we LOVE the food here! Always very flavorful and fresh. The chips are always warm and the salsa is yummy! The only downside is, the drinks hardly have any alcohol in them so, I usually just get food there and drinks elsewhere.

Horrible! Mi novio lleva años viniendo a este lugar nunca tuvo ninguna queja, y hace aproximadamente 4 o 5 meses hemos ido a comer ahi. Los meseros siguen siendo los mismos en eso no hay tanto problema pero la comida pesima, las albondigas solo un caldo insípido sin sabor. Despues regresamos otro dia pensando que hubiese sido solo la mala suerte. Peor! El pescado quemado. Yo pedi un chile relleno y me lo sirvieron casi congelado osea ya ni siquiera lo preparan ahi!!! Pedimos q nos cambiaran el pescado quemado por otra cosa; unos tacos de asada, nos los avientan y sin nada de verdura??? Osea es un lugar mexicano. Pedimos la cuenta para finalmente solo irnos ya sin comer nada y solo llegaron a recoger la tarjeta sin decirnos el total… Jamas regresamos!

Salsa and beer was good. Service not so much. Food was dry. Don’t order the queso, it tasted like hot sour cream.

Let me just start out by saying this was one of the worst Mexican Restaurants that I have ever been to! First the service was non existent. Our waiter disappeared and I dont think he ever reappeared. The lady who brought our food didn’t know what we ordered and when she put these extremely hot plates down she never warned us that the plates we’re so hot that my girlfriend burnt her hand trying to move it! Now let’s get started on the food. Me being a Latino from California had never seen tacos served with taco shells from taco bell in any of the Mexican Restaurants that I have ever eaten in. So as far as I’m concerned it was mediocre at best! Not authentic Mexican food and horrible service! Won’t be going there again!

Great place to get good food! The owner is very friendly and outgoing! It was nice to be «outside» on a hot day with an air conditioned patio! Food was well done and the beer came in cold frosted glasses!

Older male server is an absolute ahole. I HAD been going here for years (even before the name change) but I’m done.
He’s always been kinda rude, but I didn’t always get him as my server, so I dealt with it. After my most recent visit I’m throwing in towel. You win, Mr Angry.

Been here time now and the food was awesome! I got the Muy Especial the two times I had gone, I chose the carne asada versus the chicken or steak you can choose from it was recommended the first time and it hasn’t failed me yet. Our server the first time was amazing I can’t remember her name but she was fun and pretty entertaining. I’m a server myself and to have someone who exceeds what their job expectation is, is pretty awesome in my book.
The 2^nd time I had gone was with my family. My girlfriend and I had recommended this place because we thought they’d really like it. There were 6 of us and when we told them that they awkwardly looked at us like oh crap that’s a huge party. So anyways on to our server who was a little off her game. She awkwardly asked us for drink orders and took forever to take our actual order. My little brother who loves Mexican food asked for tortillas because well his food came with it, the server never brought him any, we had to wave down someone else to bring him some. Our server never came back once to check up on us, we needed drink refills and when we were about to leave she offered drink refills. Like really though? We split our checks and told her specifically how we wanted them split she messed that up pretty bad. I looked around during our meal to see how many tables she had and she literally had like 3 at the time that we were there. I work in a higher volume restaurant and it’s just sad to see someone get flustered over 3 tables we weren’t even needy people.
So yeah 4 stars because the food is awesome but not all the staff is on point.

Good authentic Mexican food. Every time I’ve been there I’ve had the same server, who was great. I’ve ordered a few different dishes and have always enjoyed them and left full. Their drinks are pretty good too. Things are what you’d expect; nothing really «Wows», so I can’t give a 5-​Star rating.

Food is not good, soggy tortillas on the enchiladas and the old man who seems to be the only waiter, can barely understand what you order so we have had them messed up a couple times. This place is freezing in the winter no heating and there’s no outdoor seating whatsoever. This place needs an upgrade, or shut down.

I had the Muy Especial dinner which comes with your choice of top sirloin or carne asada or polla asado plus prawns, mushrooms, rice and beans and tortillas. I had the sirloin and it was amazingly flavorful and surprisingly large. I ate every bite of meat, mushrooms and beans and enjoyed it all. Partner had enchiladas a ala Crema with chicken and enjoyed them very much.
We ate on the very air conditioned enclosed deck/​patio. Our server was great but I didn’t catch his name. I hope to go back and have a similar experience.

First of all, there is no outdoor seating. Plexiglass is basically duck taped up around the upper patio… so there is no «outdoor» about it.
Second, we waited upwards of 15 minutes to receive a menu, only after we had awkwardly asked to be seated…
At the end of the meal (which was overpriced and mediocre), we had to request our bill, which our waiter neglected to give to us 15 minutes after he had taken our plates away…
One group was there there (I’m assuming family to one of the staff) and they were receiving ample attention, but as for us, we obviously weren’t really on the list of priorities.
Extremely disappointing. Someone needs to re-​assess the current staff (the older gentleman waiter) and make some updates. The only person there that paid actual attention to us was a girl busser… who initially noticed we had never been given menus or water and supplied us with the bill in the end.

Great food. Chips are crisp and light. The salsa is spicy and flavorful.
Service is hit and miss depending on the amount of customers
