I had a really good breakfast burrito from here, it had ham and egg and potato and was real good.
The unfortunate thing is that it takes a lot of work to get the food ordered, the language barrier is quite difficult to work through. The staff and you end up staring at each other pointing and sounding out things trying to get everything correct. Once I got the burrito though, all was well

«Language Barrier» is definitely true — luckily I work with a guy who is bilingual and he takes care of all the ordering! With that said, this is one of the few places in the area worth learning spanish for!
The food is great when it’s great — we have ordered the tacos, the burrito, the enchiladas and the fajitas. 95% of the time we get the tacos — and about 80% of the time they are great.
The 20% of the time they are not great is due to too much fat/​gristle/​grease — but they are still better than the other 4 – 5 taco shops in the general area.
The tortilla’s are at least half of the reason this place is great — they are corn — hand made on site — and they always warm them or cook them to order.

Language barrier has been a problem a couple times, but I can get over that. Went there at 930 am for a breakfast burrito (menu says 7 – 11), after waiting, she then told me they didn’t have any tortillas. Really? First time I ate there food was good, just not worth wait and lack of service

This is a great place for a really good taco at a great price. The Colorado burrito is good as well. The salsa is what puts La Montana over the top — try the avocado salsa — careful, depending on who made it — it can get really hot. Love it.

Great Mexican restaurant/​store. Place is very well taken care of and food in store seems fresh. Pretty authentic food in restaurant and nice staff! Not a good place to go if you don’t understand at least basic Spanish Spanish but of course the staff speaks English too. Highly recommended.

Pretty good authentic mexican food option. The tacos are 1.75 a piece, and well worth it (they are huge). The burrito colorado’s are huge as well, although at $ 7 aren’t quite a steal, but still a pretty good price for what you get. I would recommend the carnitas, it was really fresh, tender and flavorful. The pollo was ok, and the asada wasn’t bad. Also, as mentioned by someone else, the salsa bar has a bunch of options which were all unique in their own way. I’ll definitely be back.

This is my favorite mexican restaurant in the whole world. I get a rice, beans, and cheese burrito literally every time I go to el ranchito. Everytime I go to another mexican restaurant it simply just does not even compare to el ranchito. its extremely authentic and did I mention their SALSA BAR! ITS TO DIE FOR. easily the largest selection of salsas I have ever seen probably around 25 different types and not to mention they’re all free and homemade. I am a verde salsa expert connoisseur and they have at least 3 different green salsas which is amazing considering most mexican restraunts only have one. I LOVE THIS PLACE… the one bad thing is the inconsistent pricing. sometimes my burrito is $ 3 or $ 5 it changes. but highly recommend this place based on the food:)

Terrible. Take a lap!!!
Love this beautiful state, but so far I have yet to get a half-​way decent burrito, anywhere. Even the places where the Mexicans eat are just crap! Everyone says ‘try this place’ or ‘this place is the best’. Nope! Get a burrito from anywhere in San Jose, CA or Mountain View, CA and learn how it’s done!
This place is great if you like at least three different textures from your meat. I bit down on bone in three separate bites. One bone chip about the size of a quarter. This just says careless and cheap! Then there was the strange, sponge-​like fatty pieces of whatever!!! Gross! The actual pieces of carnitas were mediocre at best, and too much risk hoping to actually bite into. This is the first time I can remember throwing away food.

Delicious and authentic Mexican food! Don’t settle for your typical tacos or burrito, instead, order one of the many «plates» available. I ordered #18 (Fillete a la Parrilla), three large pan-​fried tilapia filets with rice, beans, small salad and get this… made to order HOMEMADE tortillas! Service is great, and place small but clean. I’ll be back soon!

This place is our local hook-​up for Takis, the spicy Mexican tortilla chips that my son and his friends love. This small tienda carries the basics if you’re looking for ingredients for Mexican food, and have a butcher counter in the back, and some fresh-​ish baked goods. However, the only thing I’ve bought here is a metric ton of Takis, and a couple tacos at the restaurant that’s attached to the shop. Prices are reasonable, tacos were pretty good.

Two whole stars. That is what I am removing from this place. The last couple times I have been here it has been below good. The meats have tasted old, over cooked, and just gross. Even when I stick with the basics like carnitas. I get big chunks of skin and stuff which isn’t normal.
So I will probably not be going back here. Why can’t I get good tacos close to my house? Curse you Tualatin!

Oh wow, I’m getting so hungry thinking of their juicy, flavorful, delicious burrito. I soak it in many of their salsas available from the extensive salsa bar. My favorites are the dark red and light green ones — both have nice heat and wonderful, complex flavors.
Some of the very best Mexican food in the state. Hands down. Obviously super authentic given that it’s in a Hispanic Foods Market and the clientele is 90% Hispanic. There’s always plenty of seating where you can see into the comfortingly-​clean kitchen ran by super sweet Hispanic ladies. I order the Chicken Burrito or the Chicken tacos. The flavors are fresh and fantastic. YUM

Here is a place that is worthy of the 5 stars, but i am a bit bitter because they had tamales painted on the window and they don’t have any! Before those who like to judge me get all crazy, odds are they’ll get 5 stars next time. This place is good, we’re talking authentic Mexican food from a hidden hole in the wall good.
I had the chicken flautas. Not flavorless chicken but very flavorful chicken in a crispy shell that’s so fabulous. Topped with sour cream, avocado, cheese, lettuce and then i smothered it with green salsa. It was so delicious it awoken the beast that craves Mexican food in me and reminded me of one thing i do miss about California.
