The place was fairly empty but overall nice service and I’m sure it’s a great venue for bands. I just wish they had a bigger selection of beer!

Went here recently with a buddy who moved to Tucker a few months ago. I agree with other users that it is a great local and inexpensive tavern. Free pool and cheap drinks were a huge plus. However they do allow smoking indoors and people take that and then some. Within 30 min of being in there my eyes were burning. It would have been ok if there was ventilation in there. Overall I would say its a pretty good place if you want to play some pool and drink cheap beer.

Wow cheap beer! Been here twice now and was still surprised with my final bill and how inexpensive it was. Great dive. At night there is a cover sometimes because of the bands. The food was not bad either. Had the mozzarella sticks one night and then the next time I had the special on a Friday night which was a delicious southern pork friend chicken with mashed potatoes dish. Kelly the bartender was so sweet and fun to talk to. It was very smoky inside so if you don’t like that I wouldn’t recommend this place for you.

Found the MoonShadow Tavern on Unilocal and I’m glad I did. Went last Thursday. The place is large, a bit dark, and I’m sure can get smokey but I have to say it was definitely my kind of place. When I saw the Farrah Fawcett poster that I had hanging on my wall growing up in the place I knew I had found a place that I would feel comfortable hanging at. The music playing was awesome old school classic 70’s/80’s rock. They have a pretty good size stage area, a couple of pool tables, a nice long bar, and lots of tables, both high and low top. They have live music pretty much every night and there drink prices are low. I ordered an IPA tap beer and it was under $ 5!!! and my date ordered a Crown and sprite and I believe it was only $ 7. Also ordered some wings and fried mushrooms which were very tasty as well. The band(no cover) started playing around 8pm and they were really good. The MoonShadow Tavern is a true Rock and Roll Bar. I’ll be back when I’m back in the Tucker area again.

A fun big dive bar, fun crowd… if you are not a smoker, you will feel and smell like one when you leave. Check out a live band… lot of fun.

This place is starting to grow on me. I come here to play poker, and they did just rebuild it and it doesn’t smell anymore and the service is really improved and the food isn’t all fried and the drinks are decently strong and well priced. I hear they have some good bands, but I haven’t been there for it. #19/365 #19/100

Great«hole in the wall» joint that has the BEST steak in town…(just order it more rare than you normally would). I Love that they have the Atlanta Poker Club on Saturday nights ANDLIVE Music! We had the best time listening to «Doug Kees and the Moonshine» Band the other week. The place can get a little crowded. But, what can you say when a place is a «happening» place. I was amazed how«non smokey» it was for being so crowded. They must have a great ventilation system. I would say this is a bar for the older hipster generation… But fun as h#ll! P. S. If the restrooms are full… women tend to use the men’s room – or at least I did! … or look for the zebra door– a unisex bathroom secret in the back corner… usually no wait.

Fun hole in the wall with great live music. Finally tried their burger and was impressed. Tasted and looked like it came from a backyard grill, but even juicier and smokier. Great service and fun time all around :)

I came here this past weekend to listen to some music that people my girlfriend and I know play. For the most part, this is exactly what it seems to be called, a dive bar. The other three reviews above me seem to be spot on with several things. Scott mentioned the restrooms. And that is so funny because when I came back from the restroom, I told my girlfriend I had never seen a restroom so clean in ANY establishment. Not just bars. It’s totally safe for a woman to use surprisingly. You walk in and you immediately notice it. One other person mentioned the over 40 crowd. And being more women than men. All true. All in all we had a good time here. PBR $ 2.12! can’t beat that. The stage was small but the bands performed well on them and plenty of room for people to dance. The only complaint I have is the smoke. Now mind you, I’m a smoker and the smoke was so bad in this place it even irritated me. Ventilation people. Please. My girlfriend does not smoke and she had a massive headache by the time we left. They really need to look at the ventilation system in this place. It was horrible. I rate 4 stars because I actually liked this place. Drinks were cheap, not too crowded, Sparkling clean restroom, and the music was great(I know, the bar had nothing to do with that). Since I live in Jonesboro, I wouldn’t drive back out there except to hear bands we know, but for the local person, it’s a pretty cool place to go.

This place is alright, for the over forty crowd. Its food is the highlight here, they have a full menu, not just bar food. If you are a single dude, forget about picking up a chick at this place. There are many more guys here than gals. This place is kinda redneck but friendly. The waitresses are nice but flaunt their assets hard to get more tips and keep you ordering more booze. Which is cool, but gets old after awhile. Lots of lonely alcoholic dudes hang out here, especially on the weekdays. There TVs suck, they need more LCD wide-screens, they have a bunch of the old little tube TVs. I only rated this place 3 instead of 2 stars because it is around the corner from my house.

Since moving to Tucker this by far is my favorite place to go. Everyone is friendly here, the food is amazing, and the beer prices are fantastic. Starting off, the people. Our server Erika has always been really nice and funny, even on slow nights she has time to talk with us and make jokes about things. Nikki a waiter is also very friendly and talkative. It seems all of the waitresses here are very attractive. The atmosphere of the place is good too. Live bands nearly every night especially on weekends. No big name groups just yet but local talent and some good live music always go well. They also have typical touch screen bar games as well as Keno and some slot machines. They recently renovated the place to have a larger area to fit their big screens and multiple widescreens. You’ll actually be Shocked at how damn clean the bathrooms are too. The food. A friend of mine has eaten at many countries around the world and he claims this is by far the best steak he has ever eaten. Not only is the flavor amazing on every bite but you can literally SEE how well its cooked based on how you like your steak cooked. They also grill out here once a month on a Friday and cook snow crab legs and other foods and sell it at a low combo price. Tilapia here is so good here a friend of mine claimed she had a Food Orgasm. Shrimp Quesadillas may sound strange at first but they taste great. There has honestly not been a single thing on the menu that wasn’t anything short of perfect. Moonshadow also has a thing you can order called The Tower. Its nearly 3 gallons of beer in a tall keg you can order for your table. It serves about 4 people and you can have any beer on the menu here. All local beers, terrapin, Sweetwater 420 and domestics are served here. The price is really good on this considering how much beer they fit in the tower. Therese no reason MoonShadow shouldn’t be the #1 bar in tucker. It has everything you could want in a dive bar with the best food around.
