Blackjack Pizza

Solid, consistent and friendly place. Their pizza is not greasy. The dough is good and the pizza sauce is tasty. Ingredients are good quality and fresh. They are fast and efficient. Just a good quality, standard pizza. The new pan pizzas are delicious. Blows the doors off the Pionic pizza down the street. Excellent value too. One time we went there and the manager checked out pizza and said it wasn’t made right. He said if we could wait 15 minutes he’d make us a new one. They did and they sent is home with both pizzas, which were both delicious. Highly recommended.

Horrible. Snotty, stuck up employees who could care less about you. I ordered online, was told it would be here in 30 minutes. 75 minutes later, I call to see what the hell is going on. After I told the girl I was still waiting 45 minutes AFTER it was supposed to be here. She cuts me off to tell me to hold on a minute. After being on hold for 5 minutes, I get hung up on. I call back and told then the same thing, PLUS the fact they just hung up on me. They lady rudely interrupts me (again) and says «it’s on its way» and hung up on me. By this time I’m PISSED obviously. I’m a full time student, I work full time and I have 2 kids. I don’t have time for some stuck up broad whose biggest issue is if she forgot to use a condom during her last drunken frat party. The delivery driver was an older man who was very sweet, and apologized for something that wasn’t his fault. The food was hot, so it wasn’t the driver. It was the store. The pizza is good, but NOT enough to deal with those snotty ass broads ever again. BTW this was this last friday late afternoon/​evening time. So you should be able to figure out what 2 «girls» were there.

So Unilocal has this coupon for I think 10% off and apparently the staff aren’t aware of that. Ok, I thought not a big deal since I got their carry out special, but when they tried to give me the 10% off it actually came out to a higher price since I guess you can’t combine the deals. This wasn’t the main issue, but the young lady we were dealing with was mega rude about it. The manager even told her «Are you going to give them their pizza?» and she just walked towards the back. Worst customer service ever, especially when they are other places that offer cheap take out pizza in Tucson.

My companion wanted pizza but didn’t want the usual. He found this place online and placed an order. It said 15 minutes. We waited 10 and then did the 15 minute drive. We get there, «online order not received». They take his order, we wait 15 no pizza. He orders again, 15 minutes and we finally have it. This place gets a star because a young man tried very hard to be nice about the whole thing and we appreciated it. But the place was empty so not really sure what’s going on. Not trying this again.

Ordered online delivery was to be 30 min. 50 min later I called and was told «well the driver should be there», i frequently receive bad service and keep hoping it will improve, time to find a new pizza place.

There pizza isnt amazing almost as good as domino’s. I couldn’t spend more then 7 bucks for this pizza without feeling ripped off. The people were pretty nice they are open kind of late. I probably won’t be going to this place again especially when pionic is right next door and it’s a million times better which I highly recommend by the way

Thank you! *****Original review ***So disappointed … Simple order to entertain Out of town friends… Pizza took 2 hours to arrive why I don’t know because the uninterested employee on the phone never explained. I boasted about the ranch dressing (which for some reason is amazing like no other) and expressed several times not to forget the RANCH. It never showed up. Then the manager said it would take 45 min to get ranch delivered after they dumped the less than fab Pizza and salad off. 20 min later he shows up with ranch and soda, and had the audacity to charge me 4bucks… Lol laughable at best… I usually like them but my blog will get a piece of my mind!

A little sub-​par for Tucson. Ordered the Mediterranean pizza (meh), the MILD wings (spicy and soggy), and the deep dish cheese bread (not bad but came with a cup of cold marinara, like right out of a fridge).
Too many superior options nearby to tempt anyone but a college student.

I like the pizza here but i just was part of false advertisement. The flyer says «get a free soda» when you purchase online for the first you get a free soda. It was my first time purchasing online and I was told that I don’t qualify for a soda but that I can get a coupon… they told me that i have to put that online and I said that the next time i order it wont be the first time anymore and they said «I dont know what to tell you». The whole time I remained calm but i was truly pretty mad. I also did not see anywhere in the advertisement that the free soda had to be inputed online when you place your order. I truly like this pizza but that was unacceptable. I am happy to remove this post if they make it right. Find me as Mariano

Not sure if the person who answers the phone doesn’t speak english well or is hard at hearing, but i order a regular cheese pizza & i received a meat lovers one. i called back and let them know i received the wrong pizza then he asked what kind of sauce i wanted. so weird. i just wanted a plain cheese. dont think ill ever order from here again.

I love the great deals, the pizza tastes great and the team cares about their customers. I have had a bad experience and they made it right. The way they handled problem gave me confidence that I should try them again and I have numerous times.

I love this place, every time I go to Tucson I order a pizza here. What are you guys open one up in Phoenix! Great pizza at a great price. Can’t beat it!

Alright, so this review is a bit unconventional considering how I didn’t actually eat any pizza. But to make a long story short: my husband set his phone on top of my car and I drove off. It fell off somewhere along Campbell. While we were trying to figure out how to find it I got a call from Cory at this location explaining that he had found the phone on Campbell and that he would leave it at the store for us to get.
You don’t see that kind of generosity these days. Especially someone picking up a mostly smashed iPhone out of the middle of a busy road and calling the owner. Basically, it was totally awesome that he did that and deserves some recognition. So if he’s your delivery driver, hook him up! He’s awesome in our book.

After reading the reviews on Unilocal for this place I was a little hesitant about ordering from them, but they were the most convenient and none of the complaints were about the food so I decided to take a chance, and I was well rewarded.
I used the blackjack website to order online at 5:30pm for pick-​up and I got a medium pizza, cheese sticks and a salad for under $ 23! The website said that the food would be ready in 15 min but I couldn’t make it there until 30 min later which was fine because the pizzas were ready by then and they put my salad together quick. So I’d caution against believing the 15 min website estimation.
I’d agree with the other reviews that there are some young adults working there, but there were clearly 2 mature adults who were the managers and attentive with their customer service.
Overall, I’d give them a 4 on service but if I could give a 6 I would because the food was really that good. I’d say if you’re not trying to get pizza in the middle of the night (as some of the other reviews were) then this is a solid place to get good pizza for a reasonable price.

I am a huge fan of this place, solely because of their food. Their customer service is another story.
I usually come here once a month and I order a large pizza with pepperoni for my friends and I. Their food is seriously on point. I love the way they make it here and their RANCH is so good! I could eat here everyday if I could. But I don’t, because then, that would be bad. :3
However, that’s not to say their service is god awful. I can understand that this is just another job to some of the staff, to get through college or to get through life in general. I just wish they would show a bit more professionalism.

Why I even considered giving this place a second chance is beyond me, The night time «manager» Sarah was completely rude and stated they close at midnight now, despite it being over an hour after closing she was answering calls! Without being able to explain the reasoning behind it.
Apparently, they also record every phone call without the consent of the customers, nor even letting the customer know that they may be recorded. Just absolutely pathetic.

If you’re a college student like me and want good cheap/​affordable pizza, this is a good place to go.

Don’t know about these reviews, they were always decent to me.
