Yesterday night my girlfriend and I went to this little Art Gallery, Exploded View. We went to see the opening of an exhibit of collective artists doing animations. The gallery itself is pretty small, but they refer to themselves in some cases as a microCINEMA and it makes total sense once you see how big this place is. During the opening of the animation/art exhibit, the entrance was free and you could give a donation if you wanted. In return for your donation the artists were giving away frames of their animation they were showing. The frames were attached to the walls and I was able to make sense of what was going on at most points. They also had drinks and snacks in exchange of a suggested donation. The main show started a bit after we arrived with some music by one of the animators/artists, followed by the animation they did last year and immediately followed by this year’s animation. This exhibit definitely has everything that Exploded View is trying to promote: Art, Cinema, and Music! I would definitely come to another show here.
