Beautiful facility, everyone was friendly when we entered and helped guide us, and the rehab department was exceptional.

We had heard such great things about Handmaker and visited the facility and were so impressed with the staff and physical plant. We wanted to move our 58 year old autistic brother from his current facility to Handmaker, for his successful aging in place. Yet, the intake staff at Handmaker — without meeting our brother or understanding he is already in another Assisted Living — made the arbitrary decision that he did not meet their age requirements. I tried to open a dialogue with the Director of Nurses, Becky, leaving two voice mails asking for her to call back and lets discuss this ADA protected individual’s care plan, but my calls were never returned.
