Ok its the only restaurant in Picture Rocks(that I know of) and we have been coming here regularly now that they know us. Its only 10 mins from our house to the Silverbell and Twin Peaks area where a few other places to eat exist, but I think this place is beating them on variety of menu and quality of food. Fridays are«Endless Fish Fry» dinners for $ 10 and the wife gets this regularly. I snuck a couple of bites and keep saying I’m going to get it too but I keep ordering the BBQ Ribs which have more meat on them than any ribs I’ve ever seen. And they give your table a squirt bottle of BBQ sauce so that’s a big plus! Now the 12 yr old eats like a bird usually but he had the BBQ Brisket sandwich last night and ate the whole thing. Now this sandwich was definitely adult in size and he devoured it. And he is not that fond of barbecue so I know he loved it. Lil Miss, the 5 yr old, who is a chicken only diner, ordered the Chickeroo from the kids menu. She is a connoisseur of chicken tenders and this place exceeds her standards because she ate it all. One area for improvement is the dessert fare. Last night we had ice cream in a cone, ice cream in bowl and chocolate cake for choices. It was adequate but they could learn from Cattleman’s Café ;-) hint hint. Bottom line is that we find ourselves going here more often. Just a note from me, a 5 yr Elite reviewer, the fish is NOT greasy and it is NOT tilapia. I’m ordering it next time for sure and as many of you know, I used to live in N’Awlins for 21 yrs, definitely one of the many seafood capitals of the world. And yes, I still want to try this place for breakfast after I drop the kids off at school. Stay Tuned.

So I was with my marching band and our band director insisted on eating at a sub-par eatery as he has done in the past. At first you’re not sure if you’re at a restaurant or foreign tattoo hut. I walked in and sat down. Next I wait about one and a half hours to order a tart lemonade. After another hour I order a quesadilla. My meal arrives 45 minutes later. At this point my pupils and I are sobbing as a result of minor starvation. The two waitresses are trying but they just don’t fit the bill. I wasn’t sure if this was a prank, joke or a nightmare. Paying was just the start of my PTSD flashbacks. I honestly can’t say with words, the experience I had giving them my hard earned money. Overall not that bad. Oh wait it was really bad.(.03÷10)

Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were the only ones there. We live just 1.5 miles from the restaurant and had never been in. Boy were we missing a good thing. The breakfast was very good and the portion size was perfect. Under $ 11. Can’t beat that. We’ll be going back in the future, first to try the Friday night fish fry. The owner was very nice and we chatted for quite a while before we left. All in all, very pleased.

Just as bland and poor quality cooking and ingredients as the first time. The first time we went for breakfast, potatoes were greasy and scrambled eggs were terrible. The second after about one year and a half we went for dinner and ordered pizza. It was just ok considering it tasted just like any frozen pizza you buy at the grocery store, nothing special. Service is good, but food preparation and quality is very low. Whoever is cooking in there does not know squat about cooking.

2 adults, about 5 in the afternoon. We were the only ones for a bit, then the place slowly filled up. First timers. Was hoping for many BbQ choices, yet not many BbQ items on the menu. Place was very clean. Looked like much spent to update the interior. Owners were very friendly and obviously working hard to make the place successful. Food was good, prices ok. Fries came out hot.

So delicious! We were starving after a morning hike and really wanted some hearty, tasty food. This place was an absolute treat! You can taste the quality and freshness of the food, and the service was quick and friendly. A must if you are in the area!

Wasn’t sure what to expect, as the place is small and we went during an off-time(Saturday around 2:30). I had the BBQ pulled chicken and my mother had the BBQ pulled pork, both with fries. The meat was very tender and juicy as it sat atop a delicious and soft bun. The barbecue sauce was good, but I wish there had been more of it(though this is probably just preference). The waitress was very nice and made sure we didn’t need anything while we ate, while still giving us enough space to enjoy our meal and not feel hovered over. The décor is very homey, and has that small-town feel, while not being overcrowded with décor. I will definitely be coming back here.

We come here pretty much every weekend for biscuits and gravy, which are great. Service is always fast. We get food to go all the time, it’s always ready within 15 minutes. It’s nice to have a place close by. I like that there’s a nice variety on the menu, I don’t eat red meat and there’s still plenty for me to chose from. They have pizza towards the end of the week when the grill is fired up.

First of all… this is not really a BBQ place like ya may think. There were two«BBQ» items on menu, a pulled pork sandwich and a pulled chicken sandwich. The rest of the menu was burgers, BLTs, etc. There is a big BBQ out back but I didn’t see any evidence of it being in actual use(although not until we were leaving) – So a little surprising since we were expecting to stop for BBQ. Nonetheless, Service was really good… jackrabbit delight salad was really fresh and yummy especially with their housemade honey mustard. My son’s burger came out wrong the first time but was promptly replaced and he loved it. Not sure I’d pay 8.99 for it again but it does not discourage me from coming again. We got our apple fritters to go and I look forward to coming back.

We had smoked pork sandwiches and pulled pork for dinner. The food was delicious with a great smoked flavor, served quickly and courteously and a very good price. $ 30 for 3 people. We recommend you give this place a try. In my opinion the harsh reviews preceding this one are unwarranted. I even discussed them with our server and she admitted things were rough in August. The place had just opened and they were still figuring out what they were doing. Everyone in Picture Rocks complains about not having a restaurant. Now we have one, give them a try. It’s a country BBQ joint so have realistic expectations but it’s a good place with good prices.

YUM. very nice service, excellent food, esp the Bronco bacon burgers. i’m a regular now :) nice the owner bought the land and will be able to do what he wants to the buidling unlike previous«renters» who were gouged in rent til they couldn’t survive. we are thrilled to have this local spot open in our area and awesome food, great hours. very reasonable prices. Aric, the chef is wonderful.

Never coming back. This place will inevitably close just like all the other tenants of the building before them. We waited 5 – 10 minutes for our drinks(sodas) to come out. Server gave us 4 drinks and only 3 straws. We asked her for another straw twice before getting one. The food took 35 – 40 minutes to come out, after telling the server twice that we needed to get going she said the cooks were putting the food up for her. A long 5 minutes later we were literally getting up to go when the food came out. It didn’t help the server actually used the words«hold on» a few times to us. At one point she admitted 2 tables had walked out on her already. One entrée was missing the side salad and roll. My guac burger had a tiny amount of guacamole. All the burgers were cooked the same, medium well to well done, although that was not what some of us had requested. The hamburger actually tasted reminiscent of those elementary school cafeteria hamburgers. No seasoning. And of course there was the check at the end, full price. Nothing to make up for the poor experience.
