Wow for hotel food with a southwest twist really good. The pork belly with sweet potato waffles great, the BALT outstanding! The clincher was the skillet cookie, juse to die for!

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. First, for being a «cantina» there isn’t much of a selection of Mexican food. I ordered the Ultimate Street Tacos and there wasn’t much flavor, and chicken was greasy, and not very appetizing at all. My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas, and they were more like oversized chicken tacitos because they were over fried. Our appetizer, loaded fries, was over fried as well and very hard. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because our waitress was very good. She even realized that we weren’t happy with our meal and gave us a good discount.

Stopped for breakfast last Friday and unfortunately got Kim as our server. She was rude, we had to ask for menus, gave us the stink eye when asking for something not on the menu, dropped food on our table and never returned to ask if we needed anything, or a «could I serve you more water, coffee», … nada. Had to ask another waitress for our check.

Ann’s service was impeccable, Kevin, the head chef, even came to touch our table! I would recommend this place to anybody. Chicken tenders were da bomb

Let’s make it simple Convenience: Excellent(connected to the Doubletree) Food: horrible not sure if it was American or Mexican Service: horrible(was immediately told we could not sit on the patio, bar was of the only Mexican beer on tap, waited for a significant period to get served beer) Cleanliness: providing you’re not accustomed to soap, a great place.

The definition of insanity is repeating the same mistake and expecting a different result. Staying at the hotel several times a year has led me to try the convenience of this restaurant, all with disappointing results. The food is ALWAYS mediocre at best and I’ve tried several items in an attempt to find their specialty — they don’t have one. There must be others like me as the restaurant remains open and unchanged. My insanity has been cured with the most recent attempt — NEVER again will I eat here.

Awful! The service was so slow I had to go to the bar to place my order and to get my drink. The food was terrible too. I had a salad with grilled chicken and the chicken made me think of cat food. Good thing the menu was relatively inexpensive.

What a great little restaurant! I had the fish tacos and they were spot on. Seasoned perfectly and cooked appropriately. I could have had more of the target sauce mixture. But overall it was a great meal. I regret not buying a T-shirt. They looked pretty cool!

We’re staying in the motel adjoining the restaurant and decided to grab a beer and a snack. Ordered a couple glasses of wine and, chicken on a stick and fried pickles. The waiter eventually informed us they no longer had the wine we ordered. Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m a wine snob. He brought me a taste of one they did have and it was undrinkable. I ordered a beer. The appetizers were fine, not fabulous, not horrible. The place feels more like a bar than a full on restaurant. If I hadn’t been staying on property, I’d never bother with this place.

Stayed in the Double Tree and Cody the excellent bar keeper convinced to give the food a try… Touchdown! The«JAVECADO» chunky roasted corn guacamole w/home made gordita chips were awesome. Cody recommended«Stick it» Cajun Chicken Kabobs w/an unbelievable mustard sauce and fries Goalllllll! After all his other great advice I had to try his special Margarita. Wow my new favorite home away from home in Tucson!

DONTGOHEREFORTHEFOOD… unless it’s late & you’re desperate… we were from out of town & excited that there was a Mexican joint connected to our hotel… that is until we saw the menu which was a random mix of american & mex fair… we at least got a laugh out of it, but when we ordered chips&salsa, the salsa tastes like it came from a cheap jar brand and the enchiladas I ordered I wouldn’t give to my dog… the only good part is the service was friendly & the bar is open late after the one in the hotel closes

I would first say that this place should not be classified Mexican food. It’s more texmex. Food was bland and just cold and no taste. I would go to another place before coming here. Save your money and time.

No one in the restaurant to greet me, I wandered around a bit and just sat at one of the high tops. It was happy hour. Appetizers were 5.55. portions were huge and good for sharing. They were definitely understaffed. The lady bartender seem irritated.

Always drive by this place to and from the airport and never thought about stopping until it was offered on a Dining Card. So we thought we’d give it a try. Sat at the bar but this place has ample table seating indoors and out. Bartender was super friendly and delivered chips and salsa right away. He recommeded the ceviche and it was the best thing of the evening ! Ordered the Four Cheese Mac with Achiote chicken and a bacon gratin. The menu said radiatorre pasta but it was actually cavatappi. The«four cheese» tasted like velveeta and extremely salty. The bacon and chicken were in the the pasta and no gratin. I think if it had been prepared with less sodium and properly, it could have been a hit. My dining partner had the enchiladas and I didn’t here in a complaints and he loves enchiladas!

We’ve driven past here on several occasions but never stopped in until just a few days ago, and I have to be honest, we were pleasantly surprised. It turns out the restaurant is also connected to the hotel, which is convenient if you are staying at the hotel. We went at an «off» time so the place was not very busy, which made for a lovely, quiet, peaceful ambiance. They have a lovely outdoor patio, where you can sit and enjoy the warm sunshine and glorious weather Tucson is known for. Inside, they’ve got plenty of TVs to watch the games on. We ate the complimentary chips and salsa– delicious! The food we ordered came out pretty fast and was pretty delicious as well. The prices were reasonable and our waitress was fine. She wasn’t super-duper overly friendly, but she was pleasant and paid attention to us while we were there. Overall a good experience and we’ll be back in the future. (I looked at the other reviews on here and am really surprised with the negative reviews on here since our experience was so good…)

The food was mediocre at best and the wait staff were very slow even though it was a quiet Friday night. Meals seem pretty overpriced. Good bar list and prices for alcohol are reasonable especially during happy hour.

Great for meals and beers while you’re staying at the Hilton. Nice place to relax after visiting Reid Park as well. They’ve got great specials every day and night, amazing service and the new menu is fabulous.

The bartenders and servers provide great customer service here. This is an above average hotel bar to have a few drinks at while your party figures out where to have dinner, or a relaxing place to have a cocktail before bed. If you are jet-lagged or stuck on the property and are forced to eat here, the food is not bad but not great, and certainly not representative of Tucson or Mexican cuisine. It’s Applebee’s quality food, 50 feet from your hotel room door, with the added bonus of no annoying birthday songs.

If I could give zero stars I would. We sat a long time before getting menus. Waited over 30 minutes for our food which we received after asking the waitress twice and finally calling over the manager. The restaurant was not very crowded. Margaritas had no detectable tequila in them. Of the three dishes we ordered, the chicken sandwich was rubbery, the chicken taco salad had no chicken or any other kind of meat in it, but that was probably a good thing. The burger, however was good. This is a mess of a restaurant and the only reason we ate there is because we were staying in the Doubletree Hotel attached, and we were tired after our flight. But there are many places in the area to eat that have to be better than this.

Unfortunately I chose to be lazy and not venture to the wonderful world of restaurants that Tucson offers while I was there last week for work. I’ll never make that mistake again. First, they are given the category of «Mexican» here by Unilocal. They are far from any Mexican restaurant that I know. They are what I would call«American with the use of a few Mexican flavors.» I sat at the bar which happens to be full service so I could watch Football while eating my dinner. The bar tender was certainly nice enough and was great at his job. Service is not where this place is lacking, let me make that clear. Where it is lacking is variety of menu items #1, and then the quality of items served. I had the mac n’ cheese with chicken and bacon. Unfortunately the flavor of Velveeta overcame the rest of the dish which is a complete turn off for me.
