We recently moved to Tucson, Arizona(from the California Bay Area) and did quite a bit of research to find a good dentist. After speaking with my California dental group, I received a recommendation for Dr. Martha Duchon and decided to try her. I visited her last week for an initial session and received a hygiene treatment from her excellent hygienist, Dianne. Dr. Duchon is a member of the ADA, which I’m told by other dentists is an important factor. She has practiced in Tucson for a number of years, and maintains a small, dedicated staff. After two visits, I must say that I have never been more pleased with dental care in my life! She was very thorough in her initial evaluation of my dental health, took full mouth X-rays and a careful history. She noted some issues that I was only vaguely aware of, and made some recommendations. Her hygienist spent ample time with me and did a wonderful job. She told me that she had an ointment I could use on my sore gum, but forgot to give it to me before I left. I realized this when I got home, but their office was already closed. Imagine my surprise when I received a personnel note of apology from her in the mail the next day, with two sample packets of ointment enclosed. Wow. Just this week I returned to Dr. Duchon for a broken tooth and will get a crown soon. She is wonderful with Novocaine(which is important to me) and was very gentle in preparing my tooth. My husband just saw her today for the first time and is equally impressed. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!
