Nails First

I needed my nails fixed for a formal event and fast, a guy quickly slipped me in for a full set. This was my first time here & while overall he gave me an OK set of acrylic, the gel topcoat I got was just terrible. Usually the gel stays EXTREMELY shiny for WEEKS, it’s stronger, etc. When I left my pink claws were less than dazzling. I’ve never experienced a no-​UV/​cure «gel» so I’m pretty sure he just wanted my money. The price was great, but you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

This place is awful! I’ve been here twice trying to give it a second chance and both times were equally horrible. The first time my grandmother came with me. My grandmothers pinky toe nail is missing and most places will put a fake one on for her. She asked the lady to do so and the lady said she would then proceeded to just paint her skin! They were rude and rushed thru the whole thing. Nothing relaxing about that! The second time I went to get my eyebrows waxed. The woman was rude and rushed. She was on the phone with her mechanic the entire time. She burned me with wax that was far too hot and when I said ow! She just laughed. Then she actually pulled a piece of my skin off with one of the strips. She also put the dirty strips on my shirt instead of throwing them out! So now, I have a scab over my eye and the lady says «oh you look beautiful ok bye leave now» Are you kidding? Save yourself money and sanity and don’t go here!

I used to come here all the time, as it’s a stones throw from my house, but their service has declined and every now and then I try again, due to convenience. I tried twice in the past month, I think I’m finally giving up. First, I took my daughter’s to get manicures and the nail polish was so thick, it was so full of bubbles and looked like my son painted their nails. We cleaned it up at home and called it a day.
The man doing one of my girls nails stopped his services on my daughter to take what seemed to be a personal call and then he stopped again to clip his own cuticles. Completely unprofessional. So for some reason (convenience) I tried again yesterday. I went for a pedicure and seen they had 10% off on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10a-​2p, I like a deal! Not worth it! The man was doing my pedicure and kept wiping his running nose with his hand and then back to my feet!!! After he did that more than once, I asked him if he could please not touch my feet after wiping his nose. He then took a LONG break, didn’t say a word, just got up and left. I’m assuming he went to blow his nose, so I waited, and waited and waited. he finally comes back and again, doesn’t say a word or even apologize for the wait, just went back to my pedi. The experience was irritating and gross. I was hoping to relax and leave with nice toes. I got neither. Again, nail polish line for french pedi is not equal from one toe to the next. The line is thick on one toe, and thin on the next. He globbed a clear coat on it which left bubbles all in the paint. I really tried to like this place but I think my hard head has finally learned a lesson.

Bad service! Was waiting for over an hour for a pedicure I left, will not be back… smh

I walked in and they started the pedicure water for me. I told them I needed ALL the calluses off my feet and told them how the last place only did the bottom and not the sides. Okay, call me picky, but the last place only did the bottoms and charged me $ 35!!! First Nails got ALL the calluses off my feet, did the whole scrub thing and only charged me $ 25. That is five stars in my book. Bonus, the gal spoke good English too so when I told her how disappointed I was in the last place and what I wanted she understood and said they do good work there. And she did.
