Oregano’s is a local-ish chain with restaurants all over Arizona. We finally came to eat here the other night after a couple of times of driving elsewhere given the looong waits. On a Saturday night at 6pm we waited for about 25 minutes, but luckily there were seats at the bar so had drinks to keep us occupied. They serve cocktails– the Moscow Mule was pretty good, though a tad too sweet. We shared the garlic bread with cheese which was delicious. It’s a large long french one coated with cheese that you tear off. They have three types of pizza: thin crust, pan pizza, and stuffed pizza We got the 12″(smallest) thin crust pizza to share, which was ample; our friends shared a 18″ and barely ate half of it. We had the Sprocolli which was super delicious. Really, one star off because we ordered their pan pizza once for take-out and it was not good at all. I was tempted by the stuffed pizza, but its advertised as taking 40 minutes and who wants to wait 40 minutes after a half hour wait! Tons of pasta options as well. Our Pesto Penne Baked was bland and only had hint of pesto — it looked green enough in pictures, but didn’t taste pesto-ey enough, and other than the pasta at the top near the cheese, the rest was nearly tasteless. It also came in this hard bread bowl that added nothing to the dish. We actually made our own pesto and added it to our leftovers. I tried a bit of my friend’s Diablo Shrimp Pasta which was pretty good and had a nice zing of flavor to it. Overall, fun atmosphere, family friendly. Good service.

I still love their pan pizza, it’s delicious and I get it every time I’m having pizza here. The last few times we’ve gotten take out here, the thin crust has been so very salty! Almost unbearably so. That’s my only complaint, and after reading some other reviews it seems to happen quite a bit with that one. I do love getting their large garden salad with an order of the sausages with sauce and cheese to go. It makes more than one meal and their sausages are my favorite!

Excellent food and a great experience. I was impressed from the get go with the Boom Dip. When my Italian Flag Lasagna came, I was blown away. Service was good for the size of our party. We had ten to twelve people spread across three tables. Our waiter definitely took care of us throughout the night. Other meals in our party included spicy sausage subs, eggplant parmesan, and salads. I did not hear any complaints that night. I would definitely come back again. You can definitely taste the love in the sauce!

The salads are incredible, but that can’t carry the experience. The pizza is hit or miss. I’m usually there for the lunchtime slice. Sometimes they are pretty good, other times they are dry. Today we went in on Saturday, no slices, and the pizza was pretty sad. The sauce did not taste of tomato at all, and it was buried in cheese. All in all, the service is great, the food is fresh, but I wish I could count on the pizza. That’s why I go there.

We got to try the Deep dish for the first time. It was fantastic! Loved every bite! And if you can’t finish it, the next day warm it up in the over for about 10 – 15 min at 350 degrees and MMMM mmmm! You have yourself an amazing Deep Dish Pizza that is just about as good as day one! When I called ahead to order the pizza the staff was very friendly, when we got there, again the staff was very friendly. Thy had our order ready as soon as we were there. Only complaint: Pizza was a little liquidy, like it could’ve used a little more time in the oven. However the flavor and everything else was really good and we plan to get another deep dish one day in the future from here! We got the pizza to go — so I can’t comment on anything else really…

We live in the neiborhood, and we always wanna check this place out. However, it turns out into a big mistake. The first impression was the dirty table. We ordered a 10″ Numero One-O. The waitress told us it’s gonna take 45 to 1-hour, and it really took about 1 hour for the pizza to come. It was the most salty pizza I’ve ever had. Don’t even mention we waited for about an hour, and it’s definitly not worth the wait. The 10″ pizza was over $ 25 which obviously overpriced. Their pizza no difference with pizza hut and even worse. We only finished half of the pizza and didn’t even bother to take the other half home. Simply because no one would finish such horrible tasting pizza.

I went to lunch with my friend Steve today at Oregano’s Pizza Bistro. the servers are always so upbeat and friendly. I had Alfredo the Dark $ 6.79 lunch special which is corkscrew pasta in an Alfredo jalapeño sauce with chopped tomato, Parmesan and I added Italian sausage for a small fee. It also came with a garlic bread, everything was very tasty. I loved how they came over with a bowl of shredded cheese to top my pasta rather than standing over my plate with a grater. My friend had the hot wings and a side Caesar salad with Parmesan shavings. I also like the large soda glasses that were quickly refilled even without being empty. Great job guys, thank you for a nice lunch!

If you like salty soup, salty garlic cheese bread, salty lasagna, then you’ll love Oreganos. The food is good, hot, good service and nice atmosphere. But every dish, every bite was so salty it got to the point I didn’t want to eat anymore. Too much salt. I think no one tastes or the one who tastes the food, sauce etc… Is used to salty food. I’ve been a chef on the side for years and over seasoning is the number one problem with cooks. They add and add and don’t taste the food. I hope they take the feedback in a positive way and attempt to curb the use of salt.

5 adults and 2 yr old arrived at Oregenos on Oracle Rd location per my recommendation about 4:30 Friday evening. I wanted to bring out of town family for a nice Italian meal. They don’t take reservations so we decided on an early dinner. 2 yr olds no matter how well mannered do not do well with hr long waits. Being first in line and with a half empty restaurant we were still forced to wait no less than 45 min. Expensive tall draft beers kept us comfortable until I started calling other nearby restaurants. Hostess station was staffed with 3 indifferent girls. Finally seated we ordered apps. The calmari used to be very good fresh pieces w tentacles etc. What we received were greasy obviously pre frozen dark brown processed substitute cubes. Horrible. For dinner wife and I ordered«bowl a pasta», it is supposed come with a refill if desired. That was never offered from our«Kurt» demeanored waitress. My mom had lasagna which was literally a piled mess. It didn’t taste good to her or others at table and she didn’t eat it. We also ordered cheese bread with tomatoes and side of meatballs which were both good. Despite the indifferent service and disagreeable food my Mom still tipped 20%, too much I think. The 3 of us had indigestion problems not sure about other 2 adults. I used to frequent Oregenos when I lived in another part of AZ. I always enjoyed the food ambiance value and service. First and LAST time I will visit this or any Tucson Oregenos.

I love this place, it is on my weekly rotation for lunch. I typically get a house salad and have chicken added to it with and iced tea. I have however had wings, a personal pizza, the big beef sandwich, and all of the other salads. Try the golden wings. The personal pizzas at lunch are fantastic. Everything is delish, I am serious. The service is usually pretty good and they are good about refilling drinks. My favorite part — I get a large cup of my tea to go — SOLID. If you go here during peak dinner hours be prepared to wait. I will say however that it is worth it. The portions are very generous and the price is on point for the quality of the food.

This place is fun, I had lunch there on Friday, and had the«heck of a slice» pizza(which was just 2.99, and an added side salad,(2.39), it was a big piece of pizza. I had Italian dressing with the green salad, which was very flavorful. It came fast — it was on the midday menu, so it was perfect for a workday lunch — fast, cheap, and tasty — you can’t beat that! I love the décor — it’s funky and fun. It was a tad bit loud, with dropping pans and music, and busy — which is good for them! I’ve been to three different Oregano’s now, and they always make me happy! This lunch filled me up all day, I was too full to eat dinner that night!

Not impressed with this place. Went here on a Thursday night after driving 4 hours into town. Waitress was pretty much ditzy and all over the place. We ordered a side salad after asking about the size and got a giant oversized salad. We ordered a full pizza with meatballs and after asking waitress about meatball size they arrived full size huge and too spicy. Drinks were very watery and the music atmosphere was very loud to the point we couldn’t hear each other talking. Pass on this one.

Second time back, brought my boyfriend’s parents. Everyone is very welcoming. I was glad there wasn’t a making-out couple across from me this time(get a room). The best thing ever is the BOOM dip. It’s absolutely awesome so you have to get that if you come here. The pizza is pretty good too. We got the Chicago thin, which seemed to be a lot thinner than the first time which was somewhat disappointing. We were looking for kind of a regular thickness crust which the thin was on our first visit. After trying a few pizza places in Tucson and finding nothing great, this place was a bit refreshing. Doesn’t hurt to be right next to Sullivan’s where we can walk over and get a sundae afterward.

The thin crust pizzas are really good. 18″ is huge and can feed 4 – 5 depending on appetites. I always appreciate being able to get half one flavor and half of another as I like variety. They let us do this with the cookie pizza too. The peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies were warm, gooey, and topped with vanilla ice cream and mini chocolate chips. Not bad at all.

Decent Italian food! I had the Alfredo the Dark with sausage, very creamy and with a perfect bit of spice. Served with delicious and flavorful garlic bread. It is definitely one of my favorite pasta dishes. Also, tastes just as great for leftovers. My husband had the garlic Chicken lasagna which he said was really good! He finished the entire plate right there. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. He was really nice and helpful with the menu.

Walking in I was greeted by a friendly hostess and I told her I was looking for a friend who’d already sat down. Wandering through this restaurant is tough as the layout makes you feel like you’re in a lab rat’s maze. The aisles are narrow and there are twists and turns at nearly every table so although I could see my friend making it to her was a bit of a task. The beers on tap were excellent and the service speedy. I ordered wings and inquired how hot their«wings of fire» were, the server gave me a bit of a shrug, perhaps she wasn’t a spicy-food-fan, so I opted to split my wings between that at the garlic Parmesan. I found both to be pretty good. I wouldn’t really classify the«wings of fire» as such but they did have a good spice/flavor to make up for what they were lacking in the scoville scale. All in all this joint is A-Okay, nothing amazing but certainly not too shabby either.

Be careful of the portions — they’re huge! It’s definitely a good place to go with a large group of people and share. They also have friendly and attentive service. However, I gave this restaurant four stars out of five because the food isn’t amazing — I would describe it as a «step up» from Applebee’s. Other people might disagree, so I would recommend trying it out if you haven’t been here! Bottom line, I had great experiences and memories, but I personally wouldn’t go out of my way to seek out pizza from Oregano’s. On the other hand, I can’t deny that it’s a great place to go to with friends and family.

I absolutely love this place. The people are friendly, the service is fast, and the food is delicious. I really wish this place would expand out of Arizona because I crave it when I’m not at home. Don’t expect this place to serve authentic Italian food, but you can expect some delicious gigantic portions! I recommend the toasted ravioli, Pablo Picasso salad(half is more than enough), Alfredo of the Dark pasta, any of their thin crust pizza, and if you can save room for their pizza cookie for dessert. Something about their food is just so amazing. I cant stop eating it until I’m food-coma full. Everything is tasty and seasoned well. Portions are HUGE so expect to share between 2 – 4 people per entrée.

I wish Oregano’s would expand outside of Arizona. The food isn’t truly authentic and definitely not the best Italian food I’ve ever had. But the food is consistently good. The portions are HUGE!!! Each dish could easily feed 2 big eaters. And the price is cheap. My husband was stationed in Arizona twice — 2002&2011. Back in 2002, we were a young couple with limited funds. Oregano’s became our«special occasion» place. A meal with plenty of leftovers would run us about $ 20. The price thankfully hasn’t increased that much since then. In 2011, I noticed that the Zany Ziti was baked in a pie crust. I’m not a fan of this change. But I still like the dish. Another favorite is the Italian gold wings. The pizzas are also quite tasty. And another must is the calamari. When we were in town for work recently, we could have gone to a better restaurant. But we wanted to take a stroll down memory lane & came here. Glad we did :)
