Went here a couple of weeks ago … Food was great … Service was a little lacking once we got our food. We had the seafood platter for two — great food and decent portions for the price. Margaritas were good. We will give it another try …

Far better than the local chain of mariscos .Much friendlier, bigger portions, more options and better quality.

On a date and wanted to have some mariscos, when we arrived it was very lonely but we gave it the benefit of the doubt. A gentleman that was there was very courteous, but our waitress only came to the table to take our order and give us our food. We didn’t have or waters refilled until we had to try to get someone’s attention. Usually I am understanding when restaurants are busy, but there were only 3 tables. We waited 15 minutes to get a out check, which we had to ask another person for, then 15 to pay, which we ended up just going up and paying. The food was not too amazing and my Boyfriend and I ended up getting sick from the food. Would not go back there. I have yet to find a good Mexican place here in Tucson

Food was kind of overpriced, wanted some toritos for appetizers 3pc for $ 7 lol im good. My fish plate was dry and bland for $ 14 but hey I got ALOT of lettuce. No refills on soda(unless you pay) and only time I saw my waiter was to take our order and drop off the bill. Maybe I came on the wrong day, who knows? But Im not gonna find that out, I’ll pass on this place unfortunately.

Great dinner. Very authentic. Reminded me of eating off the beaten path in Cancun. Not busy and the staff was friendly.

Very tasty food and the manager who spoke English waited on me, I had the fish culichi style(tasty) and Tecate Roja in the chili salted glass. They have English menus. They play Banda music over the sound system(which was originated in Sinaloa). I would definitely come back again.

Being that my husband Junior C. and I just moved here from SoCal we are pretty particular about our Mariscos. We have a very high standard that must be risen to for our approval. That being said, we are fans of Restaurant Sinaloa. Everything we have had here is really good. There are more fried options than we are used to but that has to be from the Sonoran influence found in Mexican food in the city of Tucson. So far we have tried the campachana, ceviche, fried shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, lobster tails,(very small… do not expect Puerto Nuevo size just because they are Puerto Nuevo style) Camaron albondigas soup and many more items. Overall, thumbs up and we will keep coming back! Thank you Restaurant Sinaloa for making these Unilocalers happy in Tucson!

I love restaurant Sinaloa. I love Mexican seafood(mariscos), and I often crave it. This is my favorite Mexican seafood restaurant in Tucson. This place is always worth the drive. If you are coming in off of I-10 or coming from Oracle and Prince it is easy to find. My last visit was on «Black Friday.» You would think I would still be full from Thanksgiving, but no I was ready to eat. I started with a beer as I always do at Sinaloa. They serve the beer with a glass with a salted rim and with lime juice. It makes my mouth water. They have great ceviche. We ordered the ceviche tostadas. They are always huge, but for«Black Friday» they were two-for-one. We ordered the ceviche on the side, in a bowl and shared with three people. There was plenty to go around. The ceviche tostadas are one of the best deals on the menu. Then I ordered the Molcajete Barbarroja and it was awesome. Steak, chicken, a cheese filled pepper, bacon wrapped shrimp, and my favorite — grilled octopus. It is all served in a big Molcajete. The whole thing comes with a nice spicy salsa, tortillas, and beans. By itself it is enough for two hungry people to share. This is my favorite item on the menu, but it is hard to choose a favorite. Another«Black Friday» special was«all soups 30% off.» Our table had a bowl of fish and octopus soup, and a bowl of crema de camaron. Both of the soups were big and delicious. The soups are meal size and they are served with tortillas. The servers are bilingual, so whether you are speaking Spanish or English you will be comfortable. There is also a second menu with a lot of nice photographs, that makes it a little easier to decide what to eat. I love this restaurant. It is a great place to have dinner with friends. The portions are unbelievably large, and the food is unbelievably good. The prices are fair, and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual, just how I like it. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is one of my favorites.

Yes, restaurant fans, I have given 5 stars! Doesn’t happen often. In fact, it’s been many months and many restaurants since I last did. We were in the vicinity and wanted to grab some food with our college girl before heading back to Phoenix. This was not too far, and in the generally correct direction towards home. Mexican food sounded good, so we go! There are two parking areas on either side. Both are kinda small. The building is sort of shabby. We go in and it looks sorta shabby, but not unlike eateries you’d find in Mexico. So we get the menus(yes…plural…one has nothing but pictures). They emphasize seafood here. I saw it mentioned on Unilocal, but didn’t realize it really is the emphasis here. Probably ¾ of the text menu is seafood. Fortunately they also have terrestrial animals! I ordered the chimi(asado). I usually get a chimi when trying a new Mexican place. Wife and daughter both ordered seafood-based dishes. The food came in a reasonable time, and the portions were quite generous. But first, their chips and salsa were fantastic. Fresh chips(still warm), and the salsa was very unique. Not a pico de gallo. Very flavorful. Really good. My chimi was enormous. Probably almost a foot long and easily 3″ in diameter. They put the beans inside the chimi(they asked me first… next time I’ll ask for them on the outside, but that’s minor). It was very good. Nothing fancy, but solid flavor. Both wife and daughter loved their dishes also. I tried the Mexican rice my wife had and it was wonderful. I didn’t feel like seafood, so I didn’t try those. But they both loved their food. Their guacamole also appears to be VERY fresh, and a bit chunky. My wife really liked it. We may have a new favorite Mexican restaurant in Tucson! Don’t let the looks fool you, the food is great. Service was very friendly, but we did have to call our server’s attention whenever we wanted anything. Although they weren’t that busy(we were late) he was tending to other tasks and didn’t check us as often as he should have. Not bad service, but not as good as it should have been. I might take half a star off for that, but I can’t take a whole star. Not with such wonderful food.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican seafood you cannot go wrong with this place. The establishment is very clean and the staff is friendly and prompt. I’ve only had the shrimp cocktail, but it’s one of the best I’ve had other than homemade at my house. The chips and salsa are very flavorful and filling. They have an awesome hot sauce selection.

Its difficult to find good seafood 6 hours from the ocean but Restaurant Sinaloa does well for being in Tucson, AZ. As Mexican food goes, this place is solid, above average in quality. Where they really shine are their shrimp and fish dishes, though their carne asada is some of the best I’ve had in recent memory. The chips and salsa come with limes, and the beers by default come with all the fixings to make a michelada if you’re so inclined. They also offer pico and guacamole as sides, though many dishes come with those two accompaniments. They have a wide variety of delicious looking appetizers but I found most of them to be pretty expensive and huge portions for appetizers($ 15+). They may be better suited for larger groups of people but I’m willing to bet two people would be hard pressed to finish the seafood sampler, let alone move on to dinner. At my first visit a few months ago, I sampled a creamy chipotle shrimp dish which came with tortillas, rice, beans, salad, and assorted sides for taco making. The shrimp was some of the best I’ve had in Tucson, and the sauce was expertly crafted. I would go back just for that. On my second visit, I took my significant other with me and she got a fish taco along with an enchilada. The fish was cooked well but there was a weird taste to part of it. almost like a petrol/propane flavor? Luckily not all of the fish tasted like that but it was a little off-putting. I sampled the tampequena, basically a dinner platter with a bit of everything. Includes carne asada, an enchilada, beans and rice along with tortillas. The carne asada comes out as a full steak actually, and it was well cooked/seasoned. Their enchilada sauce is very good also, it has an interesting spice in it that I can’t quite put my finger on but it was definitely different. I really enjoyed Restaurant Sinaloa both times I went. Its not as cheap as your average taqueria but it is affordable and well-made Mexican food. I also appreciate that their beers come with the prerequisites for a michelada, its a nice touch. I will definitely be returning.

What a great restaurant. Wife and I ate here while passing through towards Houston. Found it on Unilocal and am really glad. The fish and shrimp(with cheese) tacos are spectacular. The beer is cool too as it is served with lime juice and chili salted glasses. We also had the ‘toritos’ which are bacon wrapped jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese. Sound yummy? They are as an appetizer. Be sure to bring your mobil device because if you ‘CHECKIN’ with Unilocal, they give you a 15% discount. Plenty of parking and the service is excellent. The place is very casual and the Mexican music makes it all just fun. Highly recommended!

This is my new go to seafood Mexican place. On Prince where I really never ever ever think about going in an old Burger King is some of the best food I have stuck in my mouth. I am in love especially these bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with bacon, and the octopus is melt in your mouth good(I have had octopus in many places across the globe and this is my fav.) Service is fine, the lighting is harsh in places, the booths are comfortable.

Some friends recommended this place because we always go to mariscos Chihuahua, so tried it for lunch to try something new. The place is nice, very airy and illuminated, the service was very poor and slow. The food on the other hand is huge! I ordered the marlin quesadilla which looked awesome and enormous! But the taste was pretty. meh, if you know what I mean. I could only eat 2 triangles of the quesadilla because they were so big! The other seafood looked very fresh. Not a bas place but maybe I’m stuck on the other place. :s

The enchiladas, tacos, and burritos were pretty standard, but definitely a good deal given the portion sizes. On a $ 7 combo plate, I took half of it home, and I showed up ravenous after a 6.5 mile hike! The service was absolutely incredible! Our server was very friendly, got our food to us quickly, and refilled our glasses promptly. I think I will come back sometime in the future to try one of the probably 100 options for mariscos.

What a neat find — another success with the Unilocal app! When hanging out on the west side of town, I used the app to find a highly rated Mexican place and this joint was perfect. They specialize in seafood, and most of their menu consists of shrimp, fish, octopus, scallops, etc. Their menu has pictures(thanks to the other reviewer for pointing that out) which helps you make a choice! They have a million options. Not a seafood fan? That’s fine! They have enchiladas, tacos & burritos with chicken, beef, pork & cheese. The prices are fair & the décor is pretty cute. I ordered a combo with a shrimp taco & cheese enchilada. Both were fantastic! I love cheese enchiladas, and was really impressed with their cheese and red sauce. But the taco was the star! You can get your fish/shrimp breaded or grilled. In the shrimp taco, you can get it «with cheese» or «breaded» — get it with cheese! It is amazing! The shrimp were plump and garlicy, and the cheese was really fantastic(I’m not used to having it that way!) My guy got a fish burrito that he really enjoyed, too! I’d highly recommend this place, particularly if you are into mexican seafood — can’t wait to go back and try some more! One last note: they have a good deal on buckets of Coors Light, if you go with a few friends. It’s good for families, friends, couples, or anyone who wants to hang out.

After reading a great review for Sinaloa, I decided to give it a try. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not a big fan of Mexican seafood places. I don’t know why but I didn’t really get into the seafood spirit and ordered my trusty cheese enchiladas($ 5.99). That combo was just so-so and wasn’t heated up very well and had rather runny beans. But my partner ordered a dish of breaded shrimp($ 12.99) and shared… we both thought they were well prepared and she enjoyed them very much. She thought the garlic shrimp would be fun to try next time. The restaurant is a wide-open room and is quite noisy. But on the bright side, this design allows for huge groups of folks to dine together. It felt like the old seafood houses where they’d haul out buckets of crabs to crack open. Our server seemed tentative but we received what we ordered in a timely way. Would I return? Probably. But it’s not real high on my list.
