This place has such a great environment. During the weekdays its relaxed, and a great place to do homework or be with friends. On the weekends it’s completely different, but still wonderful. There’s a live DJ until 4 am, so if the bars close its a great place to retire your night. Customer service is great and the workers are friendly, always willing to help and give recommendations. Must visit!

Too expensive for the service to suck. And they make you pay for everything before you actually get it(hookah, a drink) took forever to get service. Never going back!

The service was terrible and it was way too expensive for hookah that wasn’t that good. It also didn’t have a lot of smoke, just very little.

First time here: I Liked the fact they have indoor outdoor seating. Wasn’t very loud with people or music, but that could be because it was a Wednesday night. Great shisha. I just Wish there was some type of snacks/food. Would have stayed longer but was hungry.

I haven’t been in this place for a while and I’m starting to like it here. I don’t mind the music out back but the flavors they got are off the hook. Trust me people, if you want hookah late at night, come down to Royal Hookah Lounge. I guarantee it.

Every time I come here, they continue to improve. Great place to get hookah after the bars close.

Hookah was good. Service was ok. However, way overpriced for Tucson. Stay tuned for Medusa.

If you just want to talk and smoke hookah without having to yell over extremely loud music, then this is lounge is going to be your place. They have three different brands of shisha on the menu and a small selection of non-alcoholic beverages. You can choose to either sit inside or on the patio, which is where the live DJ was set up. The DJ played music ranging from top 40 to some Spanish tunes, the usual mix often played in hookah lounges. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they came by often to check if we needed more coals.

Employees are rude, not all, but most. Drunks come by and start fights most of the time here. Watched a guy guy get his face smashed in front of the door. Please avoid this business at all costs.

Well the hookah flavors were delightful. The atmosphere chill, like most lounges, desolate, which is good with me. I was however disappointed with their $ 3 coffee. I was expecting tasty tasty Turkish coffee! Fail. Fail. That’s all I can say… a regular cup o joe is what I received. At least the coffee was pleasantly strong. :-)

Why is it not possible to give a zero star rating?! The service is horrible! The prices are worse! I’m so excited they charge you and ask for the tip before you wait another 25 minutes for them to actually bring your hookah out! And I am pretty sure that in AZ you can’t refuse a glass of water… Oh nope not here it’s 2 $ for a bottle of water. Only choice. The atmosphere and music reminds me of a middle school hip hop dance in South Tucson. I was in middle school 15 years ago… I remember the songs being played, I’m shocked the electric slide didn’t play. Medusa is up the street don’t waste your time here!

Absolutely horrible in every way. Their music is misogynistic and offensive and blasts in their courtyard, the only space I have been in. I truly cannot imagine being inside the lounge itself.

The best thing about this place is its hours. That’s it. They blast pop music outside from their DJ that does a worse job than my Grandma could. I’ve been here twice and I notice that their service is consistently, inattentive. They give you new coal way too late before you have to call for them. Outdoor chairs and tables are cheap aluminum, don’t be surprised if your chair and table wiggles from imbalance. Hopefully Royal Hookah leadership will this and fix it.

So we came to this place thinking that we’d have a good time… Unfortunately, it takes forever to get in, and once you’re in it takes forever for the staff to seat you. Wanna smoke hookah? It’s gonna be a while. I might as well have grown my own crop of tobacco and made my own shisha. Once we got our hookahs, it was alright, but nothing to rave about. Do yourself a favor and buy your own stuff and smoke at home.

Everyone who reads my reviews knows that I’m all about ATMOSPHERE. It seems like this place TRIED to make sure they had no sense of ambiance what so ever. There were no decorations except for one string of what I assume are Christmas lights that span across the back patio. On a positive note, our server was super friendly and the hookah lasted forever! They have a menu full of flavors… almost to the point where it was a little overwhelming. Prices were decent. Please spruce this place up a little!

This place use to be a go to spot for me and my friends. One of the nights I was there, the bathroom paper towel machine was not working so I tried to fix it. It was jammed so I carefully opened it to get to the paper towels since everyone at my table had complained about it and nobody would fix it. It happened to fall since it was hanging by one little lose rickety nail. I promptly picked it up and rehung it. It was not broken in any way but one of the employees walked in as I was rehanging it. I shrugged and said that it was jammed and went back to my table thinking nothing of it. Minutes later they came to my table and directed me to the bathroom and proceeded to point at the paper towel machine being open and jammed while scolding me like I was a dog. Then kicked me out without letting me explain in front of all of my friends. They acted like I was some sort of drunk idiot who was purposely knocking things off the wall and breaking things. I didnt cause a scene I calmly left. One of my friends tried to explain what happened. They quickly dismissed it and told him«don’t worry… he’s a regular, we’ll let him in next week». Like I would EVER come back to this place. If thats how they treat regulars i wonder how much respect they have for their other customers. There is plenty of better Hookah places in town.

First time at this particular place. Had a lovely conversation with one of the regulars fir about 10 min while waiting for someone to acknowledge we were there. Then it was another 15 min before someone took our order. The hookah was delightful and the bubbles entertaining but the service was severely lacking and the atmosphere was not inviting. I will not be returning to this place.

It’s 2am, you just shut down your favorite bar or club on 4th /Congress, but you’re not quite feeling the dirty dogs yet. Where do you go? Royal Hookah Lounge. This is a wonderful spot to get the night going or relax after hours(or keep the party going). All the waitresses are knowledgeable and come by your table often enough, but not to the point of being interfering, to make sure your experience is going well. A DJ keeps tunes in check in the back patio. I went with a hookah aficionado from out of town who said that this place is legit in terms of the quality of their equipment, shisha, and service. That’s high praise. I’m not terribly well-versed in hookah and can only attest to their wonderful Arabic Ceylon tea(Alwazah). The only thing I don’t like is that the main room doesn’t have much in the way of sound deadening(furniture, paintings on the wall, etc) so the music, when turned up, bounces around and is harsh on the ears. Around 3am, the inside music is turned down but you can still hear the music from the patio, which I think is the perfect combination of sound and being able to converse without your ears bleeding. Rich’s recommendation: their top of the line shisha is worth it. Lemon mint is a wonderful combination. On nice nights or any time you want to save your ears, grab a table on the patio. Restrooms are singles only so jump at any opportunity when there’s not a line.
