Selah

I had never gotten a Brazilian wax before, so naturally I was nervous! But as soon as I walked into Selah I felt so comfortable and was greeted cheerily by the owner Hannah (such a beautiful lady!) who then asked me if I wanted tea or coffee. She knew it was my first Brazilian and assured me it would be fine and talked about it in a way that erased my awkwardness about it. Then Vanessa came down to bring my to a room upstairs. The whole inside of the building was adorable, rustic, chic, and comfortable! Vanessa explained the kind of wax she would use and talked me through the basic procedure and after care. We talked through the whole appointment and her energy completely erased my uncomfortableness and nervousness! At the end she even recommended me to my new favorite coffee place: Exo coffee on 6^th st! I am so thankful for such a comfortable and clean first Brazilian with excellent results! I 100% highly recommend Selah and they’re wonderful technician Vanessa!

Wow! This is officially the cutest local gem in Tucson. So far I’ve gotten a facial from Brittany, and a Brazilian wax from Hannah. They are both absolutely so sweet and make you feel so comfortable. A lot of times when you go into a salon you feel like just another number they have to deal with for the day, but these girls actually make you feel like you’re their close friend and are excited about their job! (Hannah specifically makes you feel so comfortable you forget that she’s looking at your hoo-​ha.) Also, this is an amazing location near 4^th but WITH A FREAKIN PARKING LOT.

I’ve had two waxes now from Hannah, and both have been outstanding experiences. I’ve been waxed by other salons before, but this was the best by far — practically no pain, and no irritation after. The salon space is gorgeous, I basically want to live there. I cannot recommend Selah enough! Someday I’m getting eyelash extensions here.

The ladies here (Vanessa and Hannah) have been doing my waxing for some time now so naturally when they moved over to Selah I followed. Same wonderful results in a beautiful and modern space.
I have never been disappointed when these ladies, particularly Vanessa, do my brows. People who have gotten a bad brow job realize the skills and time it takes to create good looking brows. Vanessa takes time with my brows, and is somewhat of a perfectionist, which is all right by me. I have kinda weird brows, they are sparse in some parts and have that weird peak thing I hate. However, Vanessa makes my brows looks like that of a normal person! Mad props.
Also, the space is sooo cute! It is a 2 floor setup, with two separate living areas with a modern and feminine décor. It is a very inviting space. I got the tour of the place and Selah is looking to offer facials in the future.
This is such an asset to the local Tucson business community. Looking forward to a future of great brows!

I went there today for a brow wax. I’m a freak about my eyebrows and Vanessa did such a great job! It was super cute inside and very clean. I highly recommend!

Wow. This place is amazing. The building is so clean and clutter free making such a nice welcome when you come in. Hannah was incredible and so funny and made getting my Brazilian wax not nearly as awkward as it can be with her warm and friendly persona. By far the least painful experience. And most thorough. She spent time to be sure she finished her job perfectly. AND she got my eyebrows back to life again! I will never go anywhere else. Thank you!

Hannah is amazing and makes the whole waxing experience as easy and painless as possible! The space is super cute and all the girls are very nice!

Hannah (previously Wax Werks) has been waxing me for over 2 years now and she’s the most cheerful and caring person. Let’s me honest, getting a Brazilian puts your in a vulnerable position, but every time Hannah puts me at ease. She’s highly skilled in waxing as my skin never had any issues afterward. I’m so happy she has her own place. The salon is absolutely beautiful!

I’ve been seeing Hannah and Vanessa for over a year and they’re far and away the best, most amazing people you could ever meet! The location is BEAUTIFUL and the service is even better!

Anyway, my dotter and I have been seeing Hannah for probably around three years and she just opened her new, beautiful little shop near campus/​downtown/​4^th Ave.
I could not be a bigger fan of Hannah’s. She’s incredibly gentle and thorough in all the services she provides. My daughter has VERY sensitive skin (she’s actually ended up with long-​lasting red marks in the past with other aestheticians before who had been a little rough) but Hannah does such a great job that I never worry.
Also, the prices are incredibly reasonable. I love that it doesn’t cost me a million dollars just to keep my eyebrows from looking like Fran Stalinovskovichdavidovitchsky from Dodgeball (google it if you don’t know and then sit down and watch that movie because it’s one of the greats).
My next appointment is with Vanessa to try some eyelash extensions. I’m excited! {Although I now realize the irony of removing too much hair from one place on my body only to have extra hair attached to another place on my body. What a crazy world we live in).
