A business doesn’t get better than this. Large enough to meet even the needs of the space shuttle and small enough to spend endless, patient hours explaining everything and anything to a complete novice. Here is everyones dream… Dean has turned an obsession into a living.
Hand holding after the sale seems to be a speciality. Never do you feel you are «asking a dumb question».
Their Friday and Saturday night open house is a wonderful way to view any of the goodies you are thinking about buying live in real time.
The range of products available range from simple to so complex that I don’t have any idea what they are or what they do (but I know I can’t live without one).

and read up. There is so much information available and it is free. Astronomy is a growing interest. That is, that you start out and progress more and more. We are fortunate in Tucson to have a shop that can take you as far as your interest wants to take you.

This is the place to go in Tucson… they not only sold me a great setup they took the time to teach me how to use it… the value the learning alone provides is awesome!

I dug out my old telescope. I could not make heads or tails of my tripod set up. And thought… who do I turn to? All I can say is, thank goodness for Dean at Starizona!
He is so knowledgeable and helpful that he had me set up in nothing flat. And he answered every question I had. He then invited me to drop by with my scope on any Friday or Saturday for free viewing and more help as I learn how to use my telescope.
Personal tutoring for free. How good is that?
They offer tons of astronomical products, books and software, tripods, binoculars, spotting scopes, and eyepieces. If they don’t have it, they’ll get it for you.
They also have the honor of having one of their manufactured HyperStar imaging systems on the ISS. Amazing! What an honor.
We are very fortunate to have Dean and Starizona in the Old Pueblo.

This is a great shop for anyone into astronomy. They have knowledgeable staff who are willing to answer your questions (and they won’t sell you a dirty telescope).
A long story short, my husband was sold a telescope mount by another (so-​called) Astronomy shop in town. We later found out it was not functioning correctly. Why… because the other place sold him dirty defunked merchandise. Well, Starizona is fixing the problem for us and they are teaching us more about the product we were sold.
Starizona is a small local company that is now a global seller because they invented a product called a «hyperstar» (which is going to be on the International Space Station). This company takes their Astronomy seriously in a fun way. They have public outdoor observation nights (in front of their store) where anyone can bring out their telescope and share viewing. This happens every Friday and Saturday night around 7pm. It’s fun and they have telescopes for any age or level of interest. Thank you Starizona for saving us… thank you.
