Wow… My lunch was spectacular. Perfectly cooked scallops in a wonderful chili sauce with al dente asparagus. Shaved cabbage adorned the dish, and gave a slight crunch to the overall effect. Julie’s beef dish was excellent as well. Large portions, very friendly and attentive staff made this lunch one of the best I’ve had in some time. Each and every staff member smiled, said hello, and asked how they could be of service. I’ll be back!

I suppose the comparisons to to P. F. Changs are unavoidable but, IMO, the only thing comparable is that they both serve Asian food so I won’t even bother to compare. Liz R. mentions that spicy dishes could be spicier. I agree with this. Those of us that can handle the heat should be allowed to punish our taste buds accordingly. A co-worker and I went for lunch and I left squarely on the fence. I ordered a lunch combo that came with soup, an egg roll and an entrée. The $ 12 price tag seemed a little high, but I went along with it. The hot and sour soup was decent but the egg roll needed a kiss from the soy sauce and a hug from the plum sauce it came with. The shrimp in my entrée were plentiful and, surprisingly, cooked perfectly but, yes, this«spicy» dish could have used some more kick. The shrimp also seemed lonely on the plate. Some additional veggies for them to nestle against would have been nice. They seem to be expanding their bar menu, which has me intrigued with $ 4 Asian style hot dogs, sushi and some pretty good looking drink specials. I will have to be in the right frame of mind to fight mall parking to go back for happy hour. That’s the downside. The upside: next time my wife wants to go shopping at the mall, she can leave me at BC and meet me when she is done.

By far one of my favorite places to eat in Tucson, especially after seeing a movie at the Park Place Mall. If you’re looking for a slightly upper-class menu without paying a fortune, I highly recommend. My favorite dish is the Pad Thai, the best I’ve ever had, hands down. The coconut shrimp and the crab puffs are also killer. If you’re looking for a good non-alcoholic beverage there, try the Republic of Tea Peach Tea, it comes in a huge bottle and is quite tasty. Dessert has a few options that are served«flambé» style, not only delicious but cool to watch as they prepare it tableside. Either the owner or the manager on duty will always stop by your table once to ask how your meal was, which is a classy touch. I’ve eaten there several times over the past few years and I’ve had consistent, friendly and great quality food overall. I am often inclined to leave big tips because the waitstaff is that good. The only bad meal I had was their lobster, which I believe is a seasonal menu option. It came out way over cooked and burnt, but when I mentioned it to the manager, he apologized and took it off the bill. Otherwise, you really can’t go wrong here.

FAST Review Food 3⁄5 — Good, if you like Asian-American fusion. It’s not Chinese food. Think upscale Panda Express. You usually can’t go wrong with the Sizzling Saigon Steak or Orange Chicken with crispy spinach. Not a fan of the sweet and sour chicken though. Very bland. Ambiance 4⁄5 — I like the atmosphere here. You can sit in the bar area and watch people strolling in and out of the mall, as well as the teenagers wearing their beanies in 101 degree weather with their skinny jeans and Hot Topic t-shirts. Or you can sit in a cozy booth, away from those annoying kids. You can dress it up here, before hitting up the clubs, or you can wear your t-shirt and shorts. Tucson Casual. Service 4⁄5 — Usually good, prompt service. Staff and management is attentive. Total Impression 4⁄5 — It’s a nice spot if you want a meal and drinks before watching a movie(or after watching a movie).

Decent food, high prices, open atmosphere. Bamboo Club reminds me of a knock off version of PF Changs. The food portions are smaller, they lack spiciness when visibly noted«Spicy» I read other reviews and saw that place settings(silverware and napkins) had been missing from the table you were seated at. That in fact is correct, I witnessed 3 different families take place settings from other tables and bring to theirs. The waiter we had was very professional and didn’t rush our order. We ordered the 4 course meal for $ 39 bucks. It was decent nothing really stood out as a grabber. If you are an east sider and not wanting to drive to River Road for PF Changs this is the convince spot. The location is nice for a generic dinner and a movie date. It appeared the bar area had most of the business and there was karaōke located right next to the bar. I really wish the food stood out so I could review the tastes, flavours and excitements. Sorry fellow Unilocaler’s no dish, to dish.

This was my first time here and I have to say I’m a fan. The atmosphere was very nice and the noise level was low for as many people as there were. There was a huge group out for a dine, and we were not small ourselves. The seating was nice but I had some quips about the silverware. There was already some bottled teas on the table which always brings in a touch of class. The food menu was interesting and I choose the wasabi burger with sweet potato fries, so good. I would highly advise trying this one as the wasabi mayonnaise was unique and satisfying. The prices were reasonable and the experience was great overall. I would definitely take a large group here in the future.

We had lunch at the Bamboo the other day. The service was as good as it gets. The ambiance was quiet, comfortable, clean and upscale. The quality of the food was average Chinese. We both had shrimp dishes and they were tasty, the hot sour soup was quite good, rice is rice, and the side of fried spinach was unique and tasty. No tea was served unlike most Chinese establishments at which we have eaten. The quantities? This is the first time my wife ever has left a Chinese restaurant without a couple boxes of leftovers. She had five smallish shrimp, I had six. Actually, the quantity was about right if you wish to eat it all, but at a price of $ 12 each, it was stingy. The non-alcoholic drink prices are not available, and of course that is to cover up the overpriced sodas and iced tea. Who do they think they are kidding? $ 4 for an iced tea? However this is common with chain restaurants. If the Bamboo served the same food for half the price it would be a pretty fair deal. At the current prices, we probably won’t go back even though we do understand that mall food is more expensive than non-mall restaurants. Mom and Pop Chinese simply have more to offer for the money.

CONSISTENTLYGOOD. Been here about 25+ times over the years, had numerous different dishes, during which we have had only one bad meal — the management took care of that when we expressed our thoughts. The food here is tasty, the service is no BS. We occasionally eat at Bamboo even when we are not going to the mall. One way to evaluate asian food is by eating in AND by take-out. Well we for the first time a few nights ago had take-out from Bamboo Club and it was unexpectedly superb. You expect some degradation on take out but this was an exception. Different, larger containers were used instead of the standard white with red print; the portions were large, the food not greasy or soggy or wet. Taste held up.

Nice place located in the Park Place mall. The happy hour and appetizer deals are really good. Tuesdays you can enjoy Happiness Hour from 4PM — 7Pm, and 8Pm — Close, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a few appetizers and/or cocktails before going to the movie. The Bamboo Club has live music every Wed & Friday night. On the patio from 7 til 10. Never a cover charge. Open until 1 A. M Thursday nights they have Karaōke!

I am in love with Bamboo Club. With their good food, and their cute comfy couches/tables with pillows so I can cuddle with my lover as I enjoy delicious food… sigh… I heart this place !! Everything I have ever had here has been wonderful. Whenever we eat here we let our gluttony get the best of us and I have absolutely no shame… the crab puffs with delicious strawberry dipping sauce, lettuce wraps and the calamari is probably my fav of anywhere that I have had it. As well every entrée I have had as well I have never had any complaints. I also like that the menu is pretty extensive so I can always try something new. Service is always great as well. yay! for bamboo Club!

After hearing a lot about Bamboo Club, we headed over for lunch before seeing a movie. We ordered the edamame which came out piping hot and salted just right. Hubby got the steamed broccoli and chicken which was savory with the right amount of garlic. I ordered the Sizzling Saigon Chicken. The seasoning was good, but my chicken was much drier and tasted as if it has been pre-cooked and the sauce added well after. I may give the dish one more try to see if it was a fluke. The décor is cute, with pillow on the booths to give it a homey feel I guess. They were a bit too much though and we just ended up putting the pillows out of the way on the back of the booth. Its an ok restaurant with decent food, but after all the raving it not all that. Perhaps its more of a dinner/late-night scene?

I think the owner was having a bad day yesterday. I was also eating there, and had a similar experience. Usually when I see these hyperbolic WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER posts I assume the reviewer is wildly exaggerating, but in this case, this all really happened. A: The food Not bad, not great. The rice is dry, and the sesame chicken was a bit weak, but the steak I got was pretty good and the pot stickers we got as an appetizers were awesome. B: The place It’s trying VERY hard to be an upscale Asian fusion restaurant, and it looks good I guess. Certainly fancier than anything else you’re gonna find at the park mall. C: The service Yikes. It’s really creepy how closely my experience mirrored the customer below. First, my waiter repeated everything instead if writing it down. Okay, fair enough, if he remembers what I ordered. He comes back(after a LONG wait incidentally) with the wrong food though. I didn’t want to be a total jerk so I nicely asked if I could get it sent back and the right food sent out. The waiter takes it back(and did apologize) but came back 5 minutes later asking me again to confirm what I ordered. When I did, the waiter took a copy if the menu back to the kitchen, acting like he needed proof for them that this menu item exists. He also explained the runner took some the wrong dishes to the wrong tables, which is how this happened apparently. He then comes back another TEN minutes later to apologize more, explaining that the owner is back cooking because someone called out, and he’s furious, etc. Okay, I don’t see how that’s any of my business or concern, but it explains the delay I guess. Another ten minutes later, no food. My girlfriend is done eating by now, I still haven’t been served. So I flag the waiter down and say I’d prefer to just get the check at this point, as I don’t want to make her wait. The waiter apologized more, mentions again that the owner is freaking out, and that several tables got the wrong food. He mentions he’ll void the check, which isn’t what I asked for, my girlfriends food was fine, but whatever. The waiter comes back, almost in tears now, and asks if there’s any way he can convince me to stay, because the owner is now blaming HIM for the screwup and is going to take the check out of the waiters pay. Obviously I dont want that, so(feeling horribly uncomfortable) I say sure. The waiter thanks me, says he’s going to put in his two weeks tomorrow because the owner is a lunatic, and says the food will be right out. At this point, I just want to wolf down my food and get out of here. The waiter is clearly terrified and upset, my girlfriends been done for 20 minutes, and I just want out. The waiter comes back, and the steak is raw in the middle. Like not even a little cooked. So against all my wishes, I have to tell the waiter I can’t eat it. At this point, the owner himself comes over and glared at me and goes«what’s wrong». Not yelling exactly, but pissed. I tell him its raw. He responds with«well you wanted it fast». Then he takes the plate back to the grill and storms off. My girlfriend is now also fairly upset, and asks if we can just get of boxed and leave. So when the waiter comes back, I ask if we can do that. He says sure, but then instead of grabbing a box, he spends five minutes explaining at length that the owner is a psycho, he’s going to quit, etc. I obviously believed him now, but man, I just want OUT, please go get my box. Eventually he gets the box, we pay, and just kind of flee. The food was good enough, but its clear from other reviews and from how he acted that day that the owner is a really awful, awful person. It takes an impressive amount of incompetence to personally cause the patrons of a restaurant YOUOWN to flee in terror. I can’t recommend strongly enough to stay away from this place. When something goes wrong you’re out of luck if the owner himself is the problem.

i was just here last week! my sister-in-law and i were at the mall and we met with a couple of her friends for their late-night happy hour. it started at 9PM. they have these cute little paper menus that you can select things from. you check off which one you want. tonight, we tried a bunch of them: –edamame(can’t go wrong there! healthy & delicious) –calamari(very crispy and gooooood) –mac nut crusted chicken skewers with a peanut sauce(the sauce was soooooo incredibly bomb) –crab wonton with a strawberry sauce(some would think strawberry? with crab? ewwww. it was really, really good!!) i was very pleased with the food! i think our server was also the bartender. she seemed really busy and didn’t give the best service, but, it wasn’t anything i can really complain about. i will have to bring the hubby here for happy hour. good job, bamboo club!

This is definitely not the place to eat if you are a picky eater or want something plain. I wanted a simple house salad but this isn’t on the menu. I ordered another salad but wanted olive oil on the side… nope, no olive oil either. The waitress also mentioned you couldn’t get plain mayonaise either, just wasabi mayo. I ordered the asparagus and although delicious, it was covered in a sugary sauce. The happy hour there was fantastic! With a $ 5 price tag, my friend sampled a few delicious in house concotions like infused martinis and a cosmopolitan. I will definitely go back for their convenient location at Park Place Mall and happy hour deal.

Nothing is worse than hearing about a place having great happy hour specials, and then when you get there and are seated… you find out it only applies to the bar area only. D’oh. This place was pretty darn good… and I’m not a fan of P.F. Chang’s but felt like this was nicer somehow. The Kalbi Beef Ribs(current special for $ 4) were amaaaaaaazing. I wanted to just order several plates of that for dinner. The pad thai was also pretty good, although I do miss the side of peanut sauce that you usually get in thai restaurants. My friend had the coffee rubbed steak which she said was good… but nothing spectacular. Will deffinitely back… for happy hour IN the bar, before a movie.

They happy hour specials here are the best in town! We finally ordered the hot and sour soup and was a little disappointed only because it’s made differently then what your use to at Pei Wei or PF Changs. No big deal. FISHTACOS! Love them, love them LOVETHEM! The drinks are on the week side so order a double if you want something stiff. All good!

Another enjoyable HOPEANIMALSHELTER fundraiser night! This was the first visit for all of us and we were impressed with the pleasant décor and ambience and found it a pleasant dining experience. Attentive servers, a diverse menu, including a gluten-free section. You don’t see that very much. I had the coconut shrimp and while it was a tad overdone, it was good. For my drink, I tried the non-alchoholic Yellow Canary. Not really my cup of tea but I’m glad I tried it. One person had pad tai which was spicy and hot and very tasty. Honey sesame chicken was another hit. The Vietnamese spring rolls were just ho-hum but the peanut sauce that accompanied it was delicious. They suggest eating in family style with everyone ordering a dish and sharing. That was easy to do. We will certainly return. And thank you, Bamboo Club, for hosting this fundraiser for HOPEANIMALSHELTER.

I write this review after an order of mongolian beef and a couple of beers while waiting for my take out order of summer rolls for my wife who’s shopping inside the mall with her mother. Basically I got to give it up to this place. It was a great escape from the non alcoholic and teeny atmoshpere of the mall. Yah it’s kind of an American take on the classic Chinese fair but who cares. If I were them I’d pass out fliers to every store in the mall for bored dads and husbands saying beers sold here! Put it this way yah the foods not the most authentic and the décor is a touch opulent, but I wish my local Chinese place looked like this. Bottom line good local brewed beer, decent food, and happy hour specials with $ 3 brews and $ 5 kalbi ribs. Ignorence is bliss and so is drinking while your wife is trying on clothes. Aloha Tuscon. And kampai Bamboo club.

I came here with some coworkers for lunch and I dig it! First, we TOREITUP with some appetizers; the sampler platter, and the ribs. Loved the ribs, and my fave’s from the platter were the coconut shrimp and the potstickers… could of done without the spring roll. We were so full from the appetizers it was hard to get down our entrees. I got the Mongolian chicken and it was the favorite dish at the table. It was super yummy and also very healthy. it wasn’t fried and no thick sauces were involved. The Bamboo Club is like PF Changs… I would definitely come here again.
