I’m a huge fan of this salon. It’s beautiful, smells of Aveda products(aka yummy), and is roomy with lots of natural light. I see Kat O’Brien here and she is the absolute best at pixie/short cuts. I have lots of fine, naturally limp, hair that can be challenging to cut right. I have never been disappointed by Kat’s cuts. The first time she cut my hair she did a funky asymmetrical undercut which I didn’t think I could rock but I now adore. During that cut I told her I was a little scared and she talked me through different ways to wear it and wasn’t as edgy with t he rest of the cut which I totally appreciate. She also has the best sense of humor and is a geniuely nice person. I would recommend Kat and Verve Salon to anyone! Added bonus: they text you appointment confirmations.

I am a male in my late twenties and have been coming to this location for 4 years — since it was Gadabout Man. The transition was tough, and there is no longer the awesome combination of beer and sports on every tv. However, the stylists and service is great as ever. Heather has gotten to know me, and we have my haircut perfect. The salon is a step up from a barber, but by no means an intimidating crazy exclusive spa. There are always other men in there when I am — it’s not too female oriented. Knowledgeable, nice staff welcome you to a relaxing environment, and your hair will look good!

I have never been this unhappy with a haircut. I usually don’t get this mad about haircuts, but they spent half an hour asking me what I wanted. I also had a picture and I was there for over half an hour. Plus. the cut was soooo expensive for how crappy it turned out. I mean yes it smells like an expensive salon, but its all fluff. DONOTGOHERE! SAVEYOURMONEY!

I have been going here for about a year and a half now and have my hair cut and highlights put in by Judy Eller and lashes tinted by Linea. I had never before let anyone touch my hair to add color to it, but decided after about 2 consultations with Judy during cuts that I would go ahead and give it a go. Now I can say that there is NOONE I would EVER let color/highlight my hair other than Judy. Her work is precise and painstaking and I come out of there looking like I am 21 again — its literally the most perfect color for my face /skin etc. She just does an amazing job. She totally goes the extra mile and my hair never ever has felt dry or brittle after a coloring. You can really screw blonde highlights up if you go too brassy or bright, but even my closest friends say something is ‘different’ but they’re not sure what. Its like being touched by an angels wand. Okay, that’s totally hokey but you get the picture. :) I would recommend Judy to cut, style and highlight/color hair any day, she is AMAZINGLY talented! Also, the staff here is very warm, kind and generous. Its not snotty like other salons I’ve been to. They have their act together and its classy. LOVE this place!

I visit this salon regularly and love my stylist Suzette. I also see Ana for massages whom I think is great. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.

I really like this salon and have nothing but great things to say about this salon and Reagan. I’ve had the same stylist for 10 years at a salon in Atlanta and would still get my hair cut there when I would travel back for business. I am not a girl that goes to the salon regularly and I am a long-time Aveda user that won’t use other products. I typically get my long hair cut 3 – 4 times a year which is why I need a great cut that can last several months. When my travel to Atlanta slowed, I decided to bite the bullet and make an appointment at this salon. I was lucky to be randomly assigned Reagan for my first cut. Reagan is amazing and she gets it right every time. When I do go back to Atlanta for business, everyone comments on the cut and how great it looks. I haven’t been back to my Atlanta salon since I started seeing Reagan. The cut is amazing and the staff is friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this salon and specifically Reagan to anyone looking for a nice atmosphere and great stylist.

I was so impressed with this salon, I can’t wait to tell everyone about it. Judith did a great job on my hair and Ana waxed my brows to perfection. While my color was processing I was given a very nice hand massage. The shop is clean, pleasant, no horrible music blaring and everyone was friendly and professional.

I am part of an underground group of women who don’t talk about our hairstyling issue. It’s embarrassing and most of us won’t admit to it in the company of women. Here goes: I hate salons. I hate the primping and the femininity. I hate the endless girly chatter. I hate the jewelry being sold and the up-sell pressure that makes me feel obligated to buy some hair product I don’t need. I just want my hair cut without having to take a Xanax first. Verve is the anti-Gadabout Gadabout. It’s a salon brought to you by the people at Gadabout, originally designed for men. And that was their best idea ever, because it’s not a «women’s salon» factory like every other Gadabout in town. You can call Verve, and you actually get a hold of a receptionist instead of a call center. You can ask for your favorite stylist, and she’s probably available. When you get there, you’re not going to be sat on an oversized stuffed couch while you wait, and wait, and wait, for someone to attend you. And you’re not going to see children running wild around the place while Mom chats away with her stylist. No, Verve is no nonsense. It’s not a barbershop by a longshot. Last time I went, a mother had taken her high school aged son to get his eyebrows shaped(and split in two). The time before that, there was a man getting his hair dyed from gray to brown. It’s that kind of place. They do great color, and they have Aveda products which work exceptionally well. Their haircuts aren’t fashion spread worthy, but they do what you ask, and they have suggestions when you don’t know what to ask for. They do nails too, but you’re not trapped in a closet, like you are at Gadabout on Campbell, with 10 other women. It’s one chick who does nails and she’s pretty cool. Here’s why I only give it three stars. They’re not fashion forward when it comes to color. I’m the kind of girl who wants statement hair. I don’t want to look like everyone else. And I can’t stand it when stylists have amazing hair color, but they shy away from giving the same kind of color to their clients. Look, I’m a big girl, and if I wanna go blonde, don’t equivocate. Make me blonde. And that is why I only get my hair cut here. I would highly recommend Verve to women like me, who don’t need another girlfriend, we need a haircut. And I recommend it to mothers whose sons need a little help and want to look good, but wouldn’t be caught dead in a hair salon. And last, I think this really still is a top notch place for men.

One of the worst haircut I’ve gotten. The haircut was uneven, 2 inches entirely shorter than the length I’d told her l’d like. Karen did not clean up after«texturing», so there are hair sticking out from beneath the supposed layers… I’d expected a lot more for a $ 40 haircut, it was a haphazard effort on the stylist part. I’d get a better haircut anyday at SuperCut… which was where I went ultimately to have the haircut cleaned up because i did not want her to touch my hair again. I would never go back to that place. thumbs down.

I made my appointment at the other location and didn’t realize it. They still got me in. Suzette did a great job with my highlights and cut and while i was waiting for my color to processes, I was offered a warm foot bath. It wad amazing… They also wrapped my head in a warm towel for the deep condition while Suzette gave me a hand massage. Truly a relaxing experience. I highly recommend this salon and I will continue to go and see Suzette.

As mentioned previously, this used to be a Gadabout Man. Now this is a full Aveda salon. I have been here about 10 times now and the service staff has always been very friendly and provided a great experience. Danielle cuts my hairs and she always goes out of her way to make sure you are happy and it isn’t as expensive as one would think. One extra bonus is that they put a warm cloth on your face and give you a great scalp massage when washing your hair.

Formerly a Gadabout Man, this salon is now a full service Aveda salon. I love Aveda products so I decided to treat myself to a massage and facial recently. I was greeted promptly by friendly staff and immediately taken back for my appointment. The facilities are clean and have a relaxed feel. The facial and massage rooms are quiet. I didn’t notice any noise pollution from the salon. The facial was good. As I mentioned, the Aveda products are great, but I’ve had better experiences with estheticians. The massage, on the other hand, was fantastic. Shirley is a great therapist. If you’re one of those people who wants a massage that basically just rubs your muscles then go elsewhere. However, if like me, you believe in the no pain, no gain philosophy, then this is the place for you. Shirley has passion for her work and was genuinely interested in how she could help me. I definitely recommend a massage by Shirley so steel your senses and set an appointment. Remember, no pain, no gain.
