Just stopped in with my boyfriend for a few Mac & Jacks and beef sliders. Sliders were great, beer was cold… but the service was the highlight! Jason, our server, was fantastic! He always came around to check on us and made sure our glasses were never empty! Thanks Jason!

We arrived for dinner And immediately we were greeted and seated. Within a minute or two our waitress, Jessica, was at our table. She was very kind and easy to talk to. She made our night a little more enjoyable. The food was great, only thing is I wish our filet mignons were seasoned a little better but it was soft as butter. I will definitely be returning. Two thumbs up!

Food was fine but not spectacular. Had lunch and portions were HUGE! While I guess that might justify the price I would much rather have smaller portions, smaller prices, and better quality. Not sure how this qualifies as a Mediterranean food as it is basic american fare. Service was friendly but not enough to make up for my disappointment upon seeing the menu. Not planning on coming back.

The best kept secret in Tukwila. The food was great and the wait staff was very attentive. I had the beef short ribs, my husband had the sea bass. Excellent meal. We will definitely return.

Here at Embassy Suites for a seminar and went for lunch. Never got food after an hour and had to leave before food arrived. The seminar speaker had to come see why the group had not come back for the lecture. Don’t waste your time coming to this restaurant. Go out for lunch!

Wow. Very, very friendly neighborhood feel. I had the lamb lollipops, pita with dips and fried zucchini from the Happy Hour Menu. Excellent. Everything was perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. Jessica is the bomb. Friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to all the patrons. Take the time to stop by. You won’t regret it.

I had a meeting here the other day and enjoyed the food and service. The server was very friendly and she had enough sense to pick very appropriate times to ask us if we needed anything else. The food was good not great, but all in all I have no complaints. I would go there again.

This place is a great find. Went here for a lunch meeting and everyone’s food was excellent. I had the Rueben and it was really good, real corned beef, nicely grilled, good fries. Two people had the burger and loved it, someone else had the Halibut fish tacos and loved those as well. Clean and friendly place, really good food.

We were very surprised that the food was so good since it was a hotel restaurant. We started out with a couple of drinks and relaxed before ordering. We decided to get soup and salad. The Chowder was delicious and the Cesar Salad was just right. The prices were very reasonable and the service was very good.

Excellent service and tasty food. Just us in here for a late lunch but restaurant was clean and attractive with a neat, well stocked bar area with lots of liquors and cocktail options and 6 – 8 draft beers. Our waitress Olga was sweet and attentive and offered tasty bread with olive oil and balsamic while waiting for lunch. Going the extra mile! I had a meatloaf with mashed pots and broccolini which was top notch. Rest of the group had fish and chips, halibut gyro, burger. Sides were sweet pot fries, zucchini fries(delicious!) and regular fries. Winners were the meatloaf and gyro and zucch fries. Try it out!

The brunch was a disappointment for us. The food was really sub par — and oddly salty in some cases where you would least expect it(waffles). For example oysters on the half shell were tasteless and not even served with horseradish or onions or cocktail sauce. Wait staff was inexperienced and honestly appeared to be employees from elsewhere in the hotel assigned temporarily to brunch service. We had to bus our own table between visits to the buffet line. It all would might have been o.k. but for the bill. At $ 44/person plus tax and tip, this was a poor experience compared to what you can get for the same price in Seattle. Or only a few bucks more at a place like Salty’s. We will not be returning.

I really enjoyed the Mother’s Day brunch here with their selection of carving station and also the numerous seafood options too. The brunch doesn’t have as many items to choose from compared to Salty’s brunch, but for what they offered in terms of food quality it was very good. I first started off trying their snow crab legs and oysters plus my favorite cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls were perfect with it being soft and not too sweet. The crab legs were split for you and not overly salty. The oysters were nice and small and tasted very fresh. It was a great start to my many plates to follow. I next tried their king crab legs and the breakfast items. The king crab legs were not as good as the snow crab legs being as they tasted frozen and not as fresh. The breakfast items I tried consisted of bacon, sausage and hash browns. They were all very good and I wished I could’ve eaten more. My next choice to try was their carving station which had prime rib, ham and salmon. I was too full to try all of them so I ended up trying the prime rib. It was cooked to perfection to a nice medium rare and it tasted wonderful with some au jus. I could eat that everyday! For dessert they had quite a few items to choose from and I just had to try their crème brûlée. One of my favorite desserts of all time and the one they made was good with a nice light crisp burnt sugar on top. It was creamy and I knew it would bust my waistline if I ate too much of it. Overall very good service with our bottomless mimosa’s filled whenever the glass was empty and they were very prompt in clearing out the finished plates quickly. For next Mother’s Day I wouldn’t mind coming here again even though it was a bit spendy.

My fiancé and I were in the Embassy Suites hotel watching our friends’ baby while they attended the Seahawks game, and our friends generously offered to let us charge dinner to their room. We came down to Basil’s Kitchen mid-game, so the restaurant itself was almost dead; the only patrons were in the bar watching the game, so we had most of the place to ourselves. My fiancé’s first entrée order wasn’t doable because the restaurant was out of it. That was sort of weird, but he ordered a steak instead and enjoyed it, so all was well. I ordered a butternut squash ravioli, which was delicious, if a little cinnamon-y. Our server was very friendly and commented on how cute the baby was — which she is, even though she isn’t actually ours ;) — and was accommodating of her stroller and everything. We were able to use Unilocal’s $ 10 for $ 20 deal, which was great. The server seemed confused by it at first but managed to let us use it anyway, which I appreciated.

The food was good but nothing spectacular. The braised pork was delicious, especially with the Demi glacé. The salad was a regular Cobb salad… nothing special. Mediterranean crème brûlée was strange tasting, very small portion and the pistachios were stale tasting. Service was great though. Probably wouldn’t come back again without a gift certificate that we had this time.

We visited for the first time for the Mother’s Day brunch buffet, because none of the usual suspects(Salty’s, etc.) could accommodate a party of seven without more notice. The seating area was very nice and we were seated promptly. The table service wasn’t particularly attentive, but it’s a buffet, so that’s not a big surprise. The only issue was that one of their selling points was«bottomless mimosas,» but it was tough to get one. The buffet had a huge variety of options, including my favorite area featuring crab legs, shrimp and oysters. I was really impressed that the shimp was pre-peeled and the crab legs slit down the side so that you didn’t even need tools. In a buffet setting, you’d expect them to try to slow you down by making you work for it, but I was able to eat my weight in crab. There was also a nice spread of fresh fruit, and everyone raved about the lemon cake. Basil’s earned an extra star for how accommodating they were for my 5-year-old son, who has a severe nut allergy and hence makes buffets risky. When my wife asked about the preparation and how things came into contact with each other, the manager, unprompted, personally went to the kitchen and got him a croissant from the container and checked the ingredients. When my son was checking out the nice selection of cheese and mom said he probably wouldn’t like any of it, the person there asked if he liked cheddar cheese and went to the back and made him a plate. These are the kinds of service touches that make a place stand out. We’ll be back!
