This store is absolutely fantastic. Rockler in general is great, but the Tukwila store really shines.
Their selection is always impressive, even with somewhat limited space compared to some of the other Rockler locations (such as the Seattle store). Of course if they don’t have something on hand they are always happy to order it in. Every time I’ve done that it has arrived very quickly, at no additional cost to me.
The employees simply could not be better. They are always interested to hear what project customers might be working on and are eager to offer advice that truly comes from a place of knowledge and experience. If you do happen to stump an employee with a question (rare!) they will make sure you still get an answer — that might mean asking someone else on the staff, calling another location, etc. Saying that they go the extra mile doesn’t even describe it.
The location is a little far from me (I’m coming from Olympia, WA — so Tukwila is still closer than the Seattle location). That’s no fault of the store of course, I’d just love it if this store and these employees were easier to get to for me. Their hours are a little rough. 7PM on weeknights is alright, but they do close early on the weekends, which is when it is easier for me to make the drive. As long as I can plan ahead and get there earlier in the day it works out.
I highly recommend Rockler in general, and of the 4 different Rockler stores I’ve frequented in 3 states, this one is hands-​down the best.

Love the store, it’s where men go. I have to complain about their Sunday store hours. 4 pm? Come on, especially when many of the other stores around are open much later. Weekend warriors are still working on their stuff. I drove from puyallup and was turned away at 415. Not very happy to say the least.

This is where cabinet makers go to dream!
Rockler Tukwila is slightly larger than the Stone Way location, but it has all the same great supplies.
The staff are knowledgeable, like they have been cabinet makers for decades. While Rockler carries similar brands as the Home Depot, they have a much better selection of each brand. They also have an excellent selection of fine woodworking tools. We’re talking fine, finish cabinetry here.
We exclusively buy our drawer slides from Rockler, and no where else.
Yes, they are more expensive. But if you need quality selection and expert advice or guidence… what, do you think that’s free?
Just try it at Home Depot, I dare ya!
