After a month of PT, my husband said he wouldn’t recommend this bunch. He said they failed to explain one machine to him and it caused a lot of pain. He said about 1⁄3 of the time, he had an assistant and not a therapist. He also didn’t like to be talked down to, just because you have a knee replacement and have grey hair doesn’t mean you are senile.

Joining this gym was a mistake. They lied to me during the application and refuse to let me cancel my membership after moving to a new home(a move only qualifies for membership termination if the home is more than 50 miles from the gym). They want well over $ 1000 to terminate my contract. Stay away!

I was a member here for 3 days, I left the gym and gave my card to the girl working the desk because there were 3 men having sex in the dry sauna and I never heard a damn word from you people for 4 years and now you are suing me for a thousand dollars because you want to punish me for not being accepting of sex in a locker room where I pay to go? I should not be obligated to finish out a contract to say I accept that behavior. What a low class of people you guys are.

These people will lie like crazy to get you to join. I fell on hard time and couldn’t keep going. Platinum took me to court and sued me for membership and attorney fees. Don’t trust these guys.

This gym is a definite improvement over All American. It is attached to the Tulsa Bone and Joint Associates(which isn’t a place to buy weed) which makes rehab easy for those that go to TBJA. The PC has all the things you would expect to find at an expensive gym and being relatively new, all the machines are in excellent condition. They have TV’s to watch while on treadmills or ellipticals and a small indoor track to do some jogging when the weather is bad. They also have an outdoor ‘trail’ around an attached lake for when the weather is good. The primary room that I use is the free weights room. This room is a bit of a disappointment and is why I’ve docked them a star(the other is for the membership cost). The room has all the weights and structures you would need, but is small and on busy days(read Mondays) you will probably have to «weight» in line for popular exercises like bench press. The music in this room is not condusive to getting pumped, either. They have«improved» it(instead of networked musac, they now play pop(Britney Spears, Alanis Morsett, etc.). While it is difficult to play music that pleases everyone, it is very important for lifting with the intent to kill… The monsters in this room surely wouldn’t mind some Front 242, Fear Factory, Front Line Assembly* etc. or if we have to go more mainstream, even Disturbed, Slipknot, Metallica, AC/DC etc. would suffice. Hell, I’d take the hardcorish techno that you hear spill out of the Spin class over Alanis Morsett while lifting(the Spin class instructors know what’s up). They also have standing and laying tanning beds as well as a women-only exercise room(I hate the concept) and fitness classes(spin, latin dance like aerobics, etc.). You may also hire one of their many trainers for personalized treatment. All in all, it has all you need to get into shape but it will cost you and if you’re into free weights, bring your iPod and patience. * Bands that start with ‘F’ usually F’n kick ass. Just an observation.
