Love this place, clean and classy. We go Saturday nights, the live music is usually low key, makes it nice for socializing. The owner is great and works hard.

We are from out of town and not familiar with Tulsa. We just randomly found this place. It’s clean, modern feeling. The drinks were awesome. The bartender was very attentive and our drinks were prepared quickly. There was a band set up playing live music, which was nice.

My husband and I stopped into Zin during the Center of the Universe music festival. It was a nice reprieve from the heat and the drinks being sold at the festival :) The bartender was super nice and I thought they had a great selection of drinks. They were running specials for the festival so not sure on how pricey they normally are, but no complaints here. The décor is pretty modern and sparse, but I personally like that. Give it a try, I think you’ll enjoy it.

Very cool place to hit before a show. Staff was great. Went mid afternoon and would love to see what the evenings are like.

Loved the choices of many great wines. Had a fabulous Riesling that I had not tried before. The bartender, Nathan, took the time to discuss with me the origins and other possible choices of wine that I might enjoy. I was able to try some Port for the first time! I plan on returning several times during the next week I am here in Tulsa. I highly recommend this wine bar.

Let me start this review with the good points of this spot. They have a really interesting wine list, some great scotches and whiskeys and some interesting bottled(nothing on draft) beers. Their desserts are really great, and beautifully presented. I want SO badly to like this place. And I DO like this place, but there are some little details that are kind of putting a damper on the overall«feel» and experience you get when you’re in here. 1. The décor. I think a few other Unilocalers here have nailed it on the head, but the place is beautiful and cold all at the same time. The colors are red, white and black, which is a great combo, and everything is so carefully decorated, but the layout combined with the modernity makes it hard to feel comfortable. There’s a couple love seat type chairs, but everything else is bar seating or high chairs and tall round tables, and it’s just not conducive to a hot or romantic date type experience. It’s really not even conducive to a few girlfriends going out and laughing over some wine and chocolate. Just the wrong seating setup for the whole space. I’d kick the tall tables out, add some more comfy, lower seats where people can settle in for a few hours of drinks and fun. 2. The music. I’ve been here a few times now, and each time, the music has been totally schizo for the décor/vibe/voice the space seems to be trying to convey. I have yet to be here on a live music night, but the music they play when there’s not live music is all over the map, and none of it seems to fit the ambiance of the place. Techno? I’ve heard it here. Awful Kenny G elevator jazz muzak? I’ve heard it here. The bartender actually apologized for the bad muzak because their iPad they were using for music broke. My heart goes out to that guy. It was bad. 3. My husband ordered a double Maker’s Mark. Usually these run about $ 7 – 8 depending on where he gets one. Here? $ 14. $ 14 dollars for exactly 2 carefully measured ounces of a mid-level bourbon. I can understand that ridiculous pricing point in Los Angeles, but here in Tulsa? No. Let’s just be real here and say that means they’re making about $ 420 per 1.75L bottle of Maker’s. A bottle is around $ 35. There are plenty of other long-standing bars open in town that aren’t charging an arm and a leg for a bourbon. This is why my husband does not want to come back to this place. I think the concept of this place is brilliant — I love dessert and I love wine, and those two together make each one even more enjoyable. I just think this place has some tweaks it needs to make before it’ll really keep people coming back and packing the joint.

Wine bars make for my perfect night out. A nice glass of wine recommended by a knowledgeable bartender, some small bites or a cheese board to nibble on perhaps, a cozy ambiance, good music that’s not too loud, and the opportunity to have interesting conversation with the people you’re with. Wine bars are really just the best. Unfortunately, Zin didn’t quite hit the mark for me. First, the good: they have an extensive wine selection with lots of delicious options. They have a variety of price points so you can find just the right bottle for your group. However, the ambiance isn’t really inviting or cozy. It actually feels quite sterile — wine colored walls, black and white seating/tables and some unrecognizable techo music playing in the background. They have a couch or two but the rest of the seating is comprised of high top chairs with small tables. That might make sense if they offered a full menu but they only have desserts(cakes) and a cheese board option. While the waitress was super sweet, she didn’t seem to know(or care) very much about the wine. She didn’t have any suggestions and just provided a menu for us to choose from. Perhaps it’s just a personal preference but my favorite thing about wine bars is discovering a new bottle suggested by the bartender who really enjoys and knows their wine. Otherwise, I could just pick up a random bottle from a liquor store and have the same experience for 1⁄3 the price. I’ll disclaim — the bar was empty when we went and I think that may have shaped the awkward, sterile experience we had. Some of the other reviews seem really positive so perhaps we’ll give Zin another shot.

This place seems like the perfect spot to compliment a night out if you’re on a date. Go out for drinks, have dinner, and then if you’re still hungry and haven’t had any deserts, this is the spot to go for that quick fix. Their menu is very well thought out. They have a lot of wine and beers that complement great with their desert menu. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping us choose things based on our own taste pallets and preferences. The wine is meant to offer unique wines that you won’t find at another competing spot, and the beers are craft beers that are not the typical bland boring domestics you’ll find at every bar. I just ordered a Left Hand Milk Stout which was very delicious. It wasn’t too heavy and it went down very smooth. A friend of mine ordered a wine and had a Zin’s Chocolate Sin. We happen to come in on a day where they take a dollar off deserts, so we got it for $ 6. I’ll admit it was pretty damn tasty. I’m not much of a sweet tooth, but it was definitely worth it. The seating is mainly a bunch of tall chair/tables mainly for small groups or couples. The couches were these white vinyl couches that were super comfortable and swiveled. Check this place out if you want it to fully complement a date night.

Lucky to have something like this in downtown Tulsa! Affordable wine and very good deserts. Most of the deserts are prepared locally. Very comfy atmosphere good place to stop in after dinner, I would prefer going here over having desert at a restaurant, gives you a chance to get up and walk around before eating again!

A friend of mine and I stopped through here after eating dinner. My initial reaction was that I was not very comfortable, but as we were there a little longer it sort of grew on me. There are couches and such but for the most part Zin has a sort of industrial cold feeling to it. For a wine bar, I don’t think this is a place you go to sit and simmer with the wine. It would be, in my eyes, a place to go if you want a quick drink before or after an event. I like to take a little bit of time to taste the wine and enjoy company. The music was house music and was a bit too loud. Don’t misunderstand me, it is a great place and is very clean, but not your typical wine bar setting; which is maybe what will set Zin apart from the others. I think it also helps that it is located in the same strip as a hotel. We ordered a port and it was lovely and priced what I would expect. The waitress was very nice and personable.

Zin. I think folks don’t realize just how great this spot is. Hence, my job is to express why you should come here. Lets start with ‘date ambiance’. What is date ambiance you say? This is what every guy should have in his back pocket. There are plenty of couch spots to have some post dinner chatter to seal up a good night. I went with my girlfriend to grab a glass of wine after dinner. I luckily had the option for a stellar NYC beer that hit the spot and provided for a great buzz. Alright, so here is the kicker… It’s the perfect ambiance to have conversation and have the atmosphere behind you filled with piano lounge music intermittently broken up with some soothing Jazz. All the while upbeat… my girl loved it. And mind you she’s a New Yorker trying to appreciate Tulsa. Boom. Take your lady/guy friend here for something sweet, good music, solid wine and decent beer selection and the clincher — trendy comfort!!! Oh and did I mention that the restaurant next door is pretty rock solid?! This spot is «THAT» date spot you want to actually hear the person speak and wrap with a great dessert. I recommend the raspberry lemon drop OR mascarpone cheesecake at Zin :) Cheers!
