Evergreendirect Credit Union

Wow, what a bad taste left in my mouth. I’ve been in banking for about 10 years. 7 in my current position at a credit union. I brought my car loan over to evergreen because I was offered a lower rate. I began to switch things over to make this my main institution. But after today, that won’t be happening. Because we never used this account in the beginning, my husband misplaced his debit card. I called in to cancel it and get a new one ordered. The lady who answered seemed a little rude, but I didn’t think anything of it. She verified me and I asked if I can replace a debit card. She then tells me it’s. $ 10 fee to do so. I think that’s quite a lot especially for a first time offense. I asked her about this and she then started quoting all these things about how they tell you about the fee in paper work, etc. Not once letting me say anything, I sat and listened and said I also work at a credit union but we usually give one free besides the first. She then tried to go over how it cost money to make cards, etc. All in all, just not very nice or even trying to offer good service. So, I will continue to stay with my credit union where I work and receive WAY better service as well as give to my members. Very sad. I can see why they aren’t that big of a credit union.
