I keep forgetting to review this great music & dance school. So, here’s it is. While visiting my sister a few months ago, I took her daughter to drum lessons with Melissa several times here. I was amazed by how much my niece’s personality changed from scatter-brained to intensely focused, confident young lady after just a few lessons. My sister tells me that her daughter’s grades in all subjects at school improved since Melissa began teaching her how to play the drums. My niece also seems calmer and less argumentative. If you have a child — particularly one with learning disabilities or anger issues — interested in music or dance, take her or him here.

I had my 2 children learn how to play the guitar for my 13 year old daughter and drums for my 11 year old son. Teachers, Steven(guitar) and Chris(drums) are both amazing. My children learned to play in a month and are both excited to go to their lesson. They also offer an onstage concert to play on the house of blues. Overall, we love it, and highly recommend !!!

My kids have been going to OC Performing Arts Guild for a few years now, and thoroughly enjoy it! One plays guitar and the other violin. The instructors are great, and welcoming to visitors who want to listen in. The opportunity for the kids to join a band in rock school is awesome! It provides the chance for kids to meet others and form lasting bonds, while perfecting their craft. I highly recommend this organization for any parents looking for a music school that’s affordable, yet worth it. It’s a great place, and I’m definitely a fan :-)

My son has been taking lessons here for a little over a year. So far it’s been great. My son takes guitar lessons with Mr. C. He’s a super teacher, really connects with my son. I like that he goes at my son’s pace and doesn’t rush him. My daughter took piano with Ms. T for a little while. She has a slight learning disability but Ms. T is very patient. The reason she’s not taking lessons anymore is because I think my daughter is a little young(she’s 6). Being 6 with a little learning disability, we decided to wait another year. We’ll definitely ask for Ms. T again. Hopefully she will have an opening at the same time that my son has guitar lessons. We mamas always have to juggle with our kids’ schedules. Edit to add: I just looked at the address and they’ve moved to Tustin(not sure the address, but near the Market Place). We’re in SA, so it’s slightly further but the pricing and teachers are worth it.

I have not enough words to Thank«PAGOC». My daughter is taking drum classes with Melissa for two years. She has changed tremendously in a positive way. All the instructors are amazing! This March my daughter performed at House of Blues Downtown Disney and the hard work of teacher and student showed in every performance. If you are looking for a music school with professional, dedicated, and patient teachers, PAGOC is the school. Thank you Melissa, Steven and Thu for all the hard work.

This place is A-okay. If your child is a serious budding rock star, try the Rock School — for future musicians, not geologists. Don’t be thrown by the location. They do a good job with the Rock School once each year, and it’s all about the kids. Helicopter moms are not well-received; check your attitude at the door — these people are genuinely nice. They also provide private instruction in musical instruments. Unfortunately their website needs updating and does not do them justice, but there is a YouTube segment online that you can view regarding the Rock School. The prices are reasonable.
