This Old Garden Gallery did the flowers for my wedding. I got her name from a friend who loved working with them, but unfortunately I did not have the same experience. I met with LaRaine and she was great at the meeting. She had good ideas and I thought she understood what I was looking for. However, the communication and follow through were not the same. My wedding was the weekend of Memorial Day, and as we got closer to the wedding I had a hard time communicating with them. I left messages and emailed, trying anyway I could to reach them. After numerous attempts, I finally got ahold of them and she said they were busy because of Mother’s Day. I asked to see a mock up or example of my flowers, and she said it was too close to the day and because of Mother’s Day, things were too crazy. She said if I had contacted them earlier, maybe they could have. I had been trying to get ahold of them for weeks. Not happy. If Mother’s Day was such a problem(2 weeks before my wedding) then maybe they shouldn’t have booked my wedding. When it came to the wedding day, my bouquet and the bridesmaid bouquets were gorgeous. No complaints there. Thankfully, those are what are in my pictures and I loved them. However, our centerpieces were awful. I had even provided a picture of what I wanted, which was very simple. The day of my wedding, I was horrified when I walked through the reception area as it was being set up. It looked like they just laid some flowers in a vase and walked off. And to top it off, the colors were wrong! One of my bridesmaids tried to get them to fix them, but what can you really do when the color is wrong. My wedding colors were eggplant purple and white. I didn’t want any other colors. The flowers were just supposed to be white. I guess they were out of white irises, so they used another type of iris. I understand that at the time, certain flowers may not be available. But I can’t believe they changed the color of the flowers. The type of flower wasn’t as important as the color, but they used another iris which looked like a light blue on my purple tables. A florist should know that for a wedding, sticking to the colors is key. In addition, I strictly said stick to dark purple and white flowers only for the entire wedding. This was stated clearly on the top of our contract too. The flowers on our cake as well as the flowers used for our large piece that was above us for the ceremony consisted of purple, white, pink, and blue. Again, i was shocked, but there was nothing i could do at this point. I tried not to let it bother me, as everyone says something goes wrong at a wedding. Thankfully the rest of the wedding was perfect, but I was frustrated that we spent so much money on flowers and they disregarded what I had asked for so specifically.

This Old Garden Gallery what an amazing team! LaRaine was so great to work with. The flowers were so beautiful and the custom arch they made for our wedding was breath taking. I brought in several pictures of different ideas for the bouquets, boutonnieres, sweat heart table, and centerpieces. I had no idea the names of the flowers but LaRaine was spot on to the pictures I provided. The arch was put together from from 3 different arches I saw. This Old Garden Gallery was able to make one exactly how I envisioned. The venue manager even wanted to buy the arch because it was so amazing. My sweat heart table was even more than what I expected. My husband and I are completely grateful for all the time and hard work This Old Garden Gallery did. We could not of asked for a better florist for our wedding.
