Another theater I enjoyed during my time in southern California. Mostly because they had cheap seats and snacks with first run movies available. There were times you would have thought all of the base was in the theater — and tbh, it wouldn’t have surprised me if that WAS the case.
Sunset Cinema sits on the main side of the base so it’s easily accessible from all areas. The employees were always nice and really knew how to keep the lines moving. Don’t forget to stand for the Star Spangled Banner!

I have seen Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, and World War Z among many other times I have visited here. There is seating for about 1,000 inside. There is only one screen and has about 3 movies a night. Most movies are shown in 3D. I have nothing but good things to say about the theater here on base. Advance showin tickets are always $ 1 and regular nights are $ 4. Popcorn is significantly cheaper here which is great. Seats aren’t the best but I was comfortable enough and enjoyed myself. I wouldn’t choose any other spot in the area to go catch a movie playing.
