The chicken here with the fries here is to die for. I don’t try anything else due to the fact that I’m scared of Mexican food(not the spice). My wife and I would recommend for the fries and the chicken. Try that!

Solia ser una opción un par de años atrás, ya claramente no lo es. Es servicio es malo, la comida deja que desear y lo peor de todo es la falta de higiene. Ya no regresare.

Great authentic Mexican food. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors are right on. The only thing bad I would say is that the salsa’s could use a little more kick. Then again I like my hot«HOT»!

The worse guacamole ever! Sorry guys you used to be the best mexican food around UC, last nite we ordered fajitas, for the price you charge for a fajita the amount of chicken is ridiculous and the chips taste like been fried in old used oil, ohh yes the guacamole, is 80% cilantro leaves, 5% avocado i didnt taste any, not garlic flavor or lime, sorry very disappointed with your food, i been told is under new management well new manager start by offering decent chips and guacamole Gracias

This place is awful! 45 dollars for a flavorless meal. The guy taking our order was very rude. Not only was he checking out my Fiancée, but he was doing it in front of me while serving our drinks, he ended up dropping the drinks on my mother-in-law and on my fiancée. The rice was over cooked with no flavor. The breaded chicken just tasted like plain bread crumbs, my torta al pastor was so bland I ended up putting ketchup on it, french fries were stale and the coctel de camaron was horrible. I know it isn’t a five star restaurant, this place needs to be shut down, no heater inside, the place over priced, we paid for the«free» pan dulce he said he was going to give us for the drink spill. To top off the cake I got food poisoning. Like I said I know it wasn’t a five star restaurant, this place shouldn’t be a restaurant at all. You want delicious well priced Mexican food? Come to Passaic!!!

Fixed my burrito craving up, homie, real quick… real quick. Solid local option if you want some Mexican grub. Glad someone posted pictures of the menu(good looks)! Burrito was stuffed with rice beans meat and herbs n spices. Flavours were solid. Also comes with a little side salad that included cuts of avocado, which I loved. They fix you up muy beuno. They also threw in a cup of sour cream, mini salsa and a verde salsa. Didn’t even have to ask, which I also loved. Chips were hot and crispy, love the freshness. This place might be a hole in the wall but they churn out some good tex-mex munchies.

Visiting family and my sister suggested Biggie’s. I’ve never tried it before but I figured we would give it a try, who doesn’t like Mexican. The food was good. We ordered steak flautas, tacos pork and chicken and a burrito. The problem was we ordered for delivery and they sent him out unsure of where he was going. Even worse he only spoke Spanish and our Spanish is not that good. So we called the restaurant back telling them the situation. Their response«he should have been able to find it.» I agreed and said but he didn’t and now he is lost with our food getting cold. So if you want Biggie’s order for pick up.

This place is great authentic Mexican. I love the bisteck tacos and the tortas are all good. That prices and portion sizes are right on the money. I don’t speak Spanish so it’s easier for me to just pick it up, but the food is so good

Great food and cheap prices. The place is tiny so time your arrival well. Only downside is that they only have one waiter so service is slow. The food is worth the wait though.

Great food and great service. It’s a hole in the wall that’s a hidden gem! Unbelievable chicken and chorizo tacos and beef enchiladas tonight. Highly recommended!

Great spot for Mexican food! But they tend to be a bit stingy with the guacamole as compared to other restaurants in the area

Pros: Very nice people Very nice atmosphere VERY fresh food especially the cheese they gave a lot of it Not expensive Side green sauce is good. But it’s not spicy. Cons: The carne did not really have any flavor and was soft. I usually like when it’s a little crunchy.

I tried the carnitas taco extremely dry. They were not really seasoned. The services is super slow the restaurant wasn’t even busy and personally I wouldn’t recommend it.

I didn’t think I liked Mexican food. until I ate at Biggies. I had quesadillas doradas. delicious. I love it. I can’t wait to try more. It’s nothing like«on the border» or any of the other chain restaurants. The man behind the counter was very helpful, he worked with me and my broken Spanish and made sure I got exactly what I wanted.

They had me at «Carne Enchilada!». I do not speak Spanish that well; studied for 3 years in high school. I went in to see what they offered and yes I got lost instantly with all the spanish on the menu. I asked if they had spicy taco and no one understood. «Que señor? Que?» When I was about to give up, there she appeared and rescued me from my misery. «Carne Enchilada por favor!». Thank you señorita. Muchos gracias. I got 3 spicy tacos and orange jaritos drink. What a combo. It really reminded me of my trip to Mexico. The taco is prepared meticulously with lemon, chopped onion and cilantro; there is a side of red beats also. It’s doubled layered which I normally don’t like because I really want the taste of meat only but this is the style which I have gotten used to. The first bite and the second bite. Yummy. I cannot wait to go back and try other things on their menu.

This is the quintessential Mexican restaurant that I’m surprised I’ve not found here in Jersey City. So far, I’ve tried their tacos, guacamole, and some chorizo thing, I forget what it’s called. Everything was good, it’s no taco truck or taqueria, it’s basic, but well done. The menu is larger then one you’d see ordinarily, so there are lots of options, which is nice. I assume, since basically all ingredients are used interchangeably, the quality can stay high. So, since I’ve been to quite a few bodegas for Mexican in my life, for what it is, I believe Biggie’s is above par. They also told me that they would indeed be willing to deliver to Jersey City, I am going to test that out one day soon… also staff is muy amable. So, that’s a plus
