We were visiting Atlanta area on a convention! What a find! Real New York Style Chinese! Everything we ordered was excellent! One of us is on a special diet! I ordered the hot and sour soup! Excellent! Tasty just right! My significant other ordered a spring roll! She said it was excellent! She ordered a tofu dish with steamed vegetables! It was beyond good! Sauce was perfect! I ordered Mongolian beef with fried rice. Mine was also excellent! Very generous portions! Even my egg roll and good and hot! I have travelled and worked all over Southeast Asia and food can rival some of the better Chinese there! There are so many awful Chinese wannabe restaurants now by people who pretend to be Chinese that this find is a gem ! Lucky people who live here should appreciate this true mom and pop place! Mostly take out and just two tables!!! Just over $ 20 for all that food! You just know when people care and cooking for love! Enjoy!

Yay! I bless the person that mentioned ’ New York style’ in their review. I have been on the hunt for the kind of chicken chow mein I grew up with on Long Island for quite some time. Lord help me, I think I have found it! Good, NY style chow mein should be just green and white; sauce, celery, onions, great flavour. If you are ever served chow mein with carrots in it, you are being cheated. Union City’s China Wok gets it right. Can’t wait to go back. There are only two tables, so dining in could be a challenge. The kitchen is very generous with everything. What a great find In an unexpected place. Really good Chinese south of the airport is hard to find. This is awesome. The menu is wonderfully extensive and the lunch specials amazing. Check out this great place near the Union City Kroger.

My family and I have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant since our favorites nearby either closed or burned down. We have now eaten the food here at least three times now and have never been disappointed. Everything from wonton soup to Szechuan shrimp is as one would expect or better. Fresh veggies and seafoods never overdone, cooked just right. There are only two tables inside, somewhere to sit while you wait for your order. Worth checking out when you need Chinese take-out near Union City.

The menu says ‘Authentic New York Style’ on it, and that may be true, but all I know is that it’s delicious, plentiful, and reasonably priced! We have ordered several dishes from this place: Curry Chicken, Sesame Chicken, General Tso, Mongolian Beef/Chicken, tried all the standard soups, and a few apps over the last few months after my wife, Kellie, discovered the place. I have to say so far nothing has been disappointing, not once! They do not deliver it is a take out place for sure, but the drive is worth if cause of the price and the food. While their menu is a typical American-chinese fare their dishes are well seasoned, sauced properly, and in my opinion made with slightly better ingredients than most of your hole-in-the-wall places. They are open 6 days a week, Sunday they are closed. As far as I can tell it’s a true mom and pop cause I only ever see the say gentleman and lady operating the place, and with a 11 hour schedule, Mon — Sat that makes for some diligent owners! So far it’s our got to fave for take-out, and even trumps getting delivery. When the food is so good your willing to get up and go get it no matter what you know it’s a winner!

I’m not a big fan of strip mall Chinese food but this one is actually pretty close to more traditional Chinese food. Maybe not exactly the same but as close as you’re going to get in Unioin City. I’ve tried a lot of the dishes here with the standouts for me being the Ma-po tofu and the Singapore mei fun(it’s called angel hair here). You can find the Singapore mei fun at most takeout Chinese places but this is some of the best I’ve had. Also, spend a certain amount get something extras like free drinks, egg rolls, rice, etc. Great for when you’re buying for a group. An added bonus is that it’s right next to Kroger. If I’m grocery shopping and don’t feel like cooking whatever I just bought, I’ll call this place while I’m in Kroger, checkout and walkover and pick it up. As usual with these places, everything is done in about 10 minutes.
