I would give 0 star if I can. I went to this place on Sunday noon. There are full of people. But only one waitress and she is telling us there is only one people working in the kitchen. So we wait about 30min for our noodles. When other customers who wants spoon, teapot, she said they sold out everything. Ridiculous!

FOOD — 4.5**** — ordered the classic guilin noodles and added charsu pork, pig ear, and crispy pork. Was so delicious!!! Highly recommend it RESTAURANT — 2** — typical mom-pop Chinese restaurant. Didn’t feel too clean. Bathroom didn’t have toilet seat covers and used a recycled saracha bottle as a soap dispenser. SERVICE — 3*** — average service. Not bad not great.

I came in for quick meal and they’re quick alright. Ordered 44 and was the worst vermicelli ever had. Have posted a pic of my bowl and what I thought was coming. Never offered tea. Sauce was bland. Shame.

This is very authentic Guilin noodle. Never try their phở so have no idea. Environment is just okay but I always judge restaurant with food only so here is the 5 starts for Guilin dishes.

got an order to go: pork with egg roll over vermicelli — the pork tasted old, pan fried with lots of seasoning. the egg roll didn’t have much inside. it was almost like powdery.

Certain places may look run down but good food will trump anything, unfortunately this is not the case in Gui Lin Gourmet. First of all, the name and the menu is very deceiving. I came here thinking it was all authentic Guilin food from China but they still had a Phở sign and Phở menu from the old owner and restaurant that used to be there. Ok fine, I didn’t get an authentic Guilin meal but that’s not a breaking point. What is terrible about this place is uncleanliness! The floor were dirty, the restroom had a sirarcha bottle as their soap dispenser, they have a sink in plain site where they do the dishes in front of you, the customer service from the owners were non existence, the ambiance and atmosphere was depressingly dull, and their food was below average. The waitress tried her best to please and help us which is why its not a one star. Never coming back!

Don’t eat here. Flys everywhere. Soggy noodles. Salty broth. Weird soy sauce. Sticky tables… so on and so on. The waitress was keeping herself busy by swatting all the flys in the store w a broom. Uhhhhh. No thanks. Didn’t eat or finish my food and walked over to tapex instead.

Never ever will eat there!!! Young lady work there very rude! Vegetables old had nerve to give spoiled food I think they need to have the health department check that place. Shrimp cake was not cooked! Chicken on the menu said grill it was fried chips!!! Waste of food! Hard to eaten !! The cook came out dirty!!! UNSANITARY!!! I would have gave them a star at allllllll!

If I had the option of giving no stars I would have. This place is DISGUSTING! The meat in my phở has a previously cooked frozen taste. They gave me old soggy basil leaves, old dried out jalapeños and old brown limes. The shrimp cake was soggy and under cooked. The fresh spring rolls weren’t fresh at all !! There are flies all over the dang place. The waitress has an attitude problem. And the only thing that was manageable to even deal with was my flat Coke from the can. Ever since they switched owners they been down hill. Can we say HEALTHDEPARTMENT…

When I walked in, it smelled like smelly tofu. And there were flies everywhere. The table was sticky, and I had to use chopsticks because the forks and spoons looked like they were sitting there for awhile. The food took forever to come; I even heard a woman complaining about waiting for 30 minutes for her food. I finally got my beef noodle soup but the soup was very bland with almost no flavor. There was no salt on the table for me to add. Also the waiters seem to not want to make eye contact with customers. I raised my hand to beckon them over so I can order something, and a server saw me but she quickly looked away and did something else. That’s pretty rude… And then there were the cooks. I can hear them yelling at each other from the kitchen. They were so loud other customers beside me looked toward the direction of the yelling.

The guilin noodle number 1 is pretty impressive but the dirtiness of this restaurant is also unfortunately impressive. I can see flies everywhere and have to wash the utensils with the tea they provided and it still feels very disgusting… My plan is to order to go for the noodle if I really miss the food… It’s really sad that they didn’t invest in the cleanness and the restaurant environment overall, otherwise it could be much better. It’s dirtiest restaurant I ever found in Bay Area…

Gui Lin Gourmet’s has a bright red«Phở» sign on it’s window. no english denoting Gui Lin’s ‘prescence, just a header banner in Chinese was present. menu has 2 pages in chinese re Guilin offerings. lst page bilingual showed appetiters. rest of menu was vietnamese offerings. eats: seafood guilin noodles(9) –broth flavored with szechwan mustard, salty –just a few pieces each of fish ball, surimi, shrimp, squid, and small amount of thin noodles –got cold water while bigger tables got hot tea. –condiment table in front has salty broth, cut fried beans, fried curls of dough, green onions available to customize taste. table had condiments for vietnamese food. foodnotes: –not a good value at all, just a few dollars of ingredients for a 9 dollar bowl of noodles. unsure why everyone took soup home, just salty broth… 2 star for my dish. no checkins.

I’m pretty impressed after my first visit. It’s more delicious than I thought and remind me the good memory in Guilin. Definitely I’ll come back.

We are still here, 8:40pm…tons of customers around… This used to be a phở place before changing hands… now it’s a full on Gui Lin noodle house… We ordered all kinds of noodles and a fresh hotpot chicken… Very chaotic due to grand opening… which is understandable… but the one thing that irks me is the stickiness of hoisin sauces and napkin holders and the table itself… that can be cleaned anyways Overall not worth it…
