Subway

Pretty slow service, although the ladies were sweet about it. The toppings did not look fresh. There was frost bite in the shredded cheese blend. One of ladies was putting beef on someone’s sandwhich in which a lot of it fell into the green peppers. Cross contamination is pretty gross especially for vegetarians.

Employees refused to let us use bathrooms so my children could wash their hands before eating. We left without our lunch. So rude

The staff who used to work here before was very nice. But ever since 2014, the quality of this subway restaurant has plummeted incredibly. I do not go here anymore because the staff doesn’t seem like they’re happy to be working there. They seem annoyed if i ask for more chipotle sauce or for spinach from the walk in.

I don’t like to give bad reviews to any place, but for this subway I wish I could take one star and give them negative ratings. I ordered one veggie footlong + avocado they charge $ 9.85. This subway charges as per what toppings you add and most of the other subways they have a lump sum price. A vegetarian footlong + Avocado cost me $ 6.77 at any other subway.
There are many ways to earn business but cheating people and making money is very bad. This subway don’t deserve to run business, it’s better you close and start a laundry business. Work hard instead of cheating people:

I would not recommend this Subway. The employees had a hard time listening to simple polite requests regarding the condiments and veggies.

The worst. No ventilation, so it’s stuffy as Hell. Smells like chemical cleaner cause they were wiping the tables at the time with no vent. There was a fruit fly hovering somewhere above the vegetables.
Also, somebody teach the kid who works there these things:
Don’t squeeze the Hell out of the vegetables as you make the sandwich. He did this with the jalapenos, banana peppers, and pickles. That is really unappetizing.
Don’t talk so much.
Don’t call the milk tea that your customer got next door «gross» and «disgusting». Especially considering the conditions of your own store and the way you make your sandwiches!
Learn how to make a sandwich in less than 14 minutes, cause that’s how long it took you, what with all your squeezing and talking.
I sat down to eat, but couldn’t stomach the food or atmosphere. Two bites, I threw it away. Total waste of time and money (and I usually like subway).

The customer service was nice, but the service was SLOOOOOW!!! I minus well have gone to a sit-​down restaurant to wait for a sandwich! Besides the slow service, the man making it didn’t know how long to heat the sandwich so he asked the lady in the back, who gave him the wrong answer because when he pulled out the sandwich (pastrami), the cheese was barely melted!

I used to eat Subways a lot. I would always remember which ones were excellent, which ones were okay, and which ones sucked. This Subways is probably the worst one I’ve ever been. They do not listen to what you order, the bread is always stale, they always halfass their jobs, the list could go on. All in all, I will NEVER go back to this Subway.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. All the workers consistently spoke to eachother in their native language while trying to take my order.

Good food. Restaurant is clean. Staff wise one lady was nice other looks little strange but I think thats the way she is naturally. I had good meal that matters the most.

One goes to a chain store because you know what to expect. You go there for consistency. The vast majority of Subways get it right.
Unlike most Subways this particular location is the pits. I don’t want to blame all the employees but the 3 times I’ve been here the service was terrible. Enough that I’ve stopped going all together.
Each time I’ve been here the employees seem to be bothered that they are making a sandwich for me. They haphazardly made the sandwich not even really listening to any instructions. Once I even had one female employee give a condescending roll of the eye when I asked her for minute to glance at the menu. I was the only person in the whole store so it wasn’t like it was rush time where people were waiting behind me.
Whoever owns this franchise needs to either hire better employees or train them better. Perhaps he/​she is the problem as well. Either way skip this location.

Talk about a crappy Subway. Went in on a Saturday afternoon, line out the door, with only 2 people working. The older lady that worked there, was so sour and didn’t look like she wanted to be there. Gave everyone dirty looks that was in line. She moved so slow, uummm she can see the line out the door. Seemed the more people that came the slower she moved. Finally my turn to order, no fresh anything in the tubs. slim picking to say the least. Won’t be returning.

I know I know, it’s subway. It’s fast food and it doesn’t even really deserve a review. But Subways are run as franchises so the individual owners are ultimately responsible for providing the goods that the chain produces. this particular subway has always had kind of disgruntled employees but right now they are by far the worst.
I ordered a cold cut combo that comes with 3 meats but it only had to meats, only 1 of which was actually recognizable as a definitive cut of meat. When I question the woman making the sandwich as to what it was she told me it was pre-​done. She didn’t know what meat it was. When I asked her to look at the sign and tell me which of the the 2 of the 3 meats she was putting on a sandwich she had no clue. She looked at the sign and it became clear that she was having difficulty reading. Her illiteracy made me sort of sad but it didn’t help me get past the fact that she was making a sandwich that didn’t resemble the same sandwich that I had in previous instances at many different subways for many years. More troubling perhaps was when I asked to talk to a manager, they both just looked at me. «There is a manager sometimes.» I left the situation confused and afraid to eat a sandwich with mystery meat. 1 thing’s for sure, I am NOT ever going back to the subway on Alvarado. I’m not sure exactly what the what is going on down there at that subway. Something is broken at this subway and I am not sure what it is.

This is worst Subway in this area. You can drive down to other two closer locations[2−4miles]. Breads are not fresh usually. Look how they make veggie delite as they literally count even lettuce. Thinnest one. Of course if you will eat such thinner one then you will be thinner for sure. I have tried this one couple of times and each time has one or other reason to complain. You can even see prize difference or deals here. On other closer Subway you will get any 2 footlongs after 5pm but this will never have. They give veggie pan pizza at 5.75 whereas other subway will give around 4 $.

I came in once with a co-​worker who didn’t want cheese on his sub and I asked if they could just put it on mine. They wouldn’t.

Don’t eat at this subway. The owner doesn’t appreciate veterans. While other subways were giving away free subs to vets on ¹¹⁄₁₂ this one didn’t. A cheap un patriotic owner. Never will I eat here again.

The girl behind the counter was very nice. The food was for my son.
I had to argue with them to use the restroom, she said she would talk to the manager about it. The manager of course was not there. I asked them «where do you go»? Then I told them I wanted to wash my hands and she said that was ok. That’s where the confusion came in and she ended up allowing me to use the restroom. The owner and manager need to catch up on California laws.

Again don’t blame the girl behind the counter she was very nice and only doing her job. The bosses need to get on the ball…

Really long wait, while the manager was talking to someone else (and not about job but probably about some funny story or so) not even paying attention to the big waiting lane.
Hey, hello there ! We are not livestock ! We can see what’s going on and can think about taking action, like leaving this place without our order for instance, and going to Quiznos instead (which is much better quality in my opinion too anyway).
